During days without court meetings, Zander thickened his face and spend his whole day in Beatrix's courtyard. He brought his things and did his job there. He is happy and contented every time she checked on him and asked him if there is anything she could help him with.

The two princes laughed at him every time he would decline to go out because of his wife. They bantered at him for being a henpecked husband but he does not care! He observed that they could never understand him because they do not love their wife!

One time when he could no longer take it, he smiled and replied:

"I will wait for the time that you both fell in love too... That time, you will surely understand!"

The two princes looked at each other and then became serious. The cold wind blew hard like a warning of an impending disaster!

Two weeks later, Zander was promoted as a first-rank Minister because of his important contributions, and of course, the emperor and the two princes backed him up. He excitedly informed his wife! Beatrix happily embraced him. She could see that he is no longer the simple husband who married into her family. She is so happy and proud of him! He is a capable man now but he remained kind-hearted and humble. Those are the things she likes about him!

Zander King asked for a three-month vacation. He and Beatrix went outside the capital for sightseeing. He finally confessed his feelings to Beatrix and she decided to open her heart to him. After more than three years of marriage, they finally consummated their marriage! Beatrix smiled contentedly as she closed her eyes after she gave herself to her gentle and sweet husband.

When they went back to the capital, they happily informed her family that she is one month pregnant! Prime Minister Aaron, General Ardor, and Lady Andrea were very happy!

Later, Zander King asked Beatrix if she will go with him if he purchase another place that will serve as their home. It is not that he did not like the General's Mansion but it is still different if they have a place of their own.

Beatrix thought about it and said "Yes" but she told him that she will only be willing to move out after she gave birth to their eldest child so he happily agreed.

One week later, the whole capital was shocked when Princess Lizbeth died tragically in an accident! Beatrix feels sad when she heard about it. She remembered her previous life with Prince Anders. He has been a very good husband and friend to her so she thought that Prince Anders might be very sad about it.

Beatrix asked her husband to send her sincere condolences to Prince Anders. Zander nodded silently but feels that there is something strange about his wife's reaction to the death of Prince Anders' wife but he just dismissed that thought because his wife never meets Prince Anders and Princess Lizbeth so he is just probably overthinking.

After Princess Lizbeth's burial, everything seems to go back to normal. Based on what Zander King told her, it seems that Prince Anders' immediately moved on from his loss...

Beatrix thought deeply about it. Probably after her death during those lifetimes, Emperor Andrew immediately moved on just like how easily Prince Anders moved on. She would not be surprised if he immediately remarried after her death but it does not matter anymore, she made the right decision not to entangle with the imperial family anymore. Her life as a first-rank Minister's wife, General's daughter, and Prime Minister's granddaughter suits her perfectly!

Her loving husband and this adorable little one in her belly will complete her. She is a little bit afraid to give birth due to what happened in the second life but she will not allow that fear to triumph over her dream to have a happy and normal family just like her parents. She even teased her husband about their child's gender.

"Husband, what if I give birth to a baby girl and can no longer give you another baby, will you look for a concubine to give you sons?" Beatrix playfully asked her husband while pretending to be sad and worried.

"Why are you spouting nonsense?! I only want you to safely give birth to the baby. I do not care whether the baby is a boy or a girl. I do not even care if you give birth to another one or not. The important is the child is ours and will grow up to be a healthy and good person. You are my one and only beloved wife! I will not look for another woman because you have already completed me. How could I ask for more?" Zander explained to his wife wholeheartedly.

She smiled happily and they hugged tightly!

"I have been thinking this for a long time. Why don't you show yourself now? It has been too long since you removed yourself from the outside world." He suggested to his wife.

Beatrix was taken aback when he said it. She has been afraid for a long time so she became speechless.
