Kai

I rushed to the hospital passing all of the people giving me strange looks. Thanks to Alpha Zion I was able to bypass his security and get a ride up here the second I got to the borders.

"What room is Zara Sanders in?" I asked the lady at the front desk.

"Sanders... looks like room one-"

That's all I need. I rushed back there and looked for room one. Normally I would think that room one would be the first door but it wasn't. It was actually the 12 door which made no sense!

I pushed open the doors and looked over to Zara. Her hair was all over her sweaty head and she looked so tired. I could hear her heart and it was racing.

"You better have made it," she said, giving me a weak smile.

"I wouldn't miss you, thank you everyone" I said, looking at her family.

I walked over to her and kissed her head. "You got this Zara. You look so powerful right now" I whispered in her ear.

"Hello Alpha Malakai. I'm doctor Cherry I will be delivering your pups" the doctor said walking in. She placed in her gloves and walked over to Zara. She lifted up the sheets and started doing something that made Zara face squish.

"We are just over 10 centimeters, are you ready to start pushing, Luna" she asked.

My heart started to race just as fast as Zara's, I made it right on time.

Zara blue eyes locked onto mine before answering the doctor.

"Yes" she said, nodding her head.

"Okay sweetie, give me a big push" she said, handing me one of Zara's legs while she held the other.

Zara started pushing, her whole body started to shake as she tried to force our pup out. She pushed for a few seconds before resting.

"You're doing good, mom," The doctor cheered.

"Good just hun, keep going" Her mother said, holding her hand.

Her brother was on the phone with someone while he watched. Her father was right behind her mother.

"Keep going," the doctor said.

Zara pushed harder and longer than the one before. Tears were forming in her eyes and it broke my heart. This woman is so amazing.

"I can't do it!" Zara cried out after she stopped pushing.

"Yes you can, baby. You're doing so good" I said, kissing her leg.

"You are, I can see the head!"

The head is out?!

I looked over her leg and the image before me was not one I could actually describe. I wasn't disgusted by birth, it was just hard to look at. I could see the top of the baby's head, already full of hair. Definitely need to get it from Zara!

She pushed again, and again, and again. Pushing as much as she can and as hard as her body would allow her. She looked so tired I thought she was going to pass out. She cried and pushed till the room filled with a cry that put the biggest smile on my face.

"It's a girl!" The doctor yelled. The nurse beside her took the baby and walked her over to a room. Most likely to get her cleaned off. My wolf stood proud knowing that his pup was not in the world.

"Can I see my baby?" Zara asked, smiling.

"Not just yet, you're not done. I see another one in there, imma need you to keep pushing.

"Fuck" she said, as she took some deep breaths. She started pushing again as the nurse walked out. I was conflicted, I wanted to stay here to comfort my mate, but I also wanted to hold my pup.

I watched as the nurse handed my baby girl to Zara's father. Alpha Zion stood next to him and smiled up at me. That was the first time I've seen him smile. My pup wouldn't be here without this woman, I need to stay here till the end.

Keep going Luna, the baby is almost out.

"Oh my fucking gooooood!" Zara yelled out, as she gave one last push.

Another cry filled the air and Zara caught her breath.

"It's a boy!" The doctor yelled, handing him over to the nurse. I can already tell his hair will be black like his mothers.

"Are we done here??!" Zara asked.

"Yes Luna, I don't see any more babies. Congratulations on your two pups!" She cheered.

I ran over to Zara and gave her a big kiss that was mixed with tears. They're here. Our pups are finally here.

A few moments later, after they got the after birth out of Zara, we laid on the hospital bed. I held the girl and she held the boy.

The girl had my brown hair but it had her mothers thickness, with her blue eyes. So far it looks like she had my nose, my eye shape, my ears, but her lips. She came out to be 8.7 lb.

The boy had his mothers black hair down to a tee, with her eyes color and shape. Just like his sister he had my nose and ears but her lips. He came out to be 7.9 lb.

They both were perfect in every possible way. I'm already getting mid-like from our pack congratulating us. No doubt that they feel the baby's connection.

I couldn't stop looking at these future leaders.

"What are y'all naming them?" Her mother asked, rubbing my daughter's chubby check.

"You name her and I'll name him" Zara offered.

I've been thinking of names since we had our first kiss.

"Keep the 'Zs' going," her father added.

"Dad, there are no more Z names in the whole world. Every family member we have had a 'Z' name. We were trying to do 'N' names, right Kai?"

"Yeah, we've sat down and tried to find a 'Z' name that we like that's not in y'all family already."

He looked disappointed, but the more he thought about it the more he agreed.

"You first," I said, kissing her shoulder.

"For him I was thinking Nova" she said, looking over to me. I smiled at the name. I feel like it fits him. He even made a little nose wrinkle when she said it.

"I love that name!"I said, kissing his head.

"Your turn"

"How about Nala?"

" Nova and Nala? I actually love that" her mother said, smiling.

"Welcome to the world Nova and Nala" I whispered to them.

Zara

I had to stay in the hospital for 3 days because of all of the blood I lost. Once I got out we spent one night at my old pack before we flew back home. Normally going on a plane a few hours old would put the babies at risk, but for wolves they will be perfectly fine.

We finally made it home and I couldn't be more tired. We both took the kids out of the car and Jeremiah grabbed the bags. I made sure to thank him and apologize for everything bad I said to him. I couldn't help myself.

He said he understood and was just happy to be a part of our children's birth.

Me and Kai decide that when they are old enough they will both be given the title of the Alpha. I think we should keep being a family first. Kai was the first Alpha younger then 21, Nala will be the first she wolf Alpha, and this will be the first time two Alphas will secure the same spot. The world might not agree but I like our family first!

We walked inside the house and I instantly fell on the couch. I was holding Nala and Nova close to my chest. I have the cutest babies ever!

"You guys look so adorable," Kai said, sitting next to me.

"Don't sweet talk me just yet. Let me see this nursery" I said, smiling at him.

"Oh you will love it" he said, helping me up. He took one of the out my arms he must know I'm tired. We walked to the nursery and he held the door open and told me to close my eyes.

I laughed at him and followed his instructions. He walked me into the room and I felt him take the other baby out of my arms.

"Okay open"

I opened my eyes and sucked in a big breath. It was breathtakingly amazing! Everything was perfect. He did more than what I would expect.

Nova was laid in the Patric bassinet and Nala was the SpongeBob one. I couldn't stop the tears that were falling from my eyes, I couldn't be more happy.

Kai

Zara started to cry looking around their room. I folded my arms, proud of what I did. She thought it was just going to be decorations. She had no idea that I could paint this well, especially with inspiration.

"Kai, it's perfect!" She said, smiling from ear to ear.

Just as I was getting ready to say something there was a knock at the door. We both looked at each other.

"I'll get it, you just sit here and look beautiful"

"I look like an ass," she laughed.

I shook my head and made my way to the door.

I looked out the peephole and didn't see anyone. Confused, I opened the door and looked down the street. I still didn't see anyone.

I shrugged it off and walked back to the room with my family. I was expecting to see Zara looking over one of our pups, instead I saw Zara on the ground with some girl with hair that was far too familiar holding Nala.

I ran over to Zara. She was still breathing fine, just knocked out. She had a big knot on her head.

"Oh hi Kai, I just changed her dipper. Little Hope's dipper was full" Abigail said calmly.

She still had on her jail uniform but it was ripped up and hanging off a little. She smiled at me and rubbed Nala's head.

Protect family!

My wolf's words ran in my head loud and clear. Abigail crossed the line!

"Put my daughter down. Her name is not Hope" I growled.

"Silly mate, I always said that if we had a girl I would name her Hope. She's beautiful" she said, kissing her head.

"But my fucking pup down. She's not yours and I'm not your mate!"

"Honey, why are you so loud? Malakai jr is sleeping" she laughed. "I mean look at his little face"

"Abigail I don't wanna hurt you" I growled. My wolf wants nothing more than to protect my family, no matter what it takes.

"I suppose the only problem is that body on the ground. I'll have someone come and throw the trash away so we can have some alone time" she said, putting Nala down.

I took that as a chance to launch at her. I tackled her to the ground and tried to get her hands behind her back. She wiggled out of my hold and head budded me drawing a little blood. Nova started to cry from all of the noise. She got up and ran over to Nova. She tried to pick him up but I was hot in her trail.

I yanked her back by her hair and slammed her in the ground. She grunted out in pain and tripped me. Once I was on the ground she got on top of me, scratching me as much as she could.

"It could've been so simple Kai. We could've been perfect! You left me to rot in jail! You let them torture me! They hurt me and you did nothing but start this family that was meant to be mine. I hate you. I hate you all!" She yelled, throwing punches at me.

As she threw her punches I grabbed her hands and flipped us over so I was on top. I slammed her hard on the ground, hard to the point where I heard her bones crack.

In a panic she wrapped her legs around my neck and started to squeeze as hard as she could.

My wolf took over and gripped onto her leg so hard that blood was dripping from my hands. I ripped her legs off of me and my hands found het neck.

She's strong, but she's nowhere near as strong as her Alpha.

Her eyes widen in shock as she looked up at me.

"Kai, please" she cried, her eyes slicing my soul. She's all I ever had, my best friend. I slowly started to release my grip and she took advantage of my small ounce of weakness for her. She grabbed my head and pulled it to hers.

Growls started to sound from the other side of the room. We both looked over and Zara was in her wolf form. Her wolf was bigger than I thought it would be. She stood tall, down brown fur sticking up from her anger.

I got off of Abigail as quick as I could as Zara's wolf shook her fur.

She ran for Abigail and knocked her off her feet. Abigail flew to the hallway and came crashing to the wall. Her body feel hard on the ground as she grunted in pain. She was already pretty bruised up from our little fight so I just know she's in more pain then she's ever felt. Abigail had her guard down and had never got hit like that. She tried to get up but Zara went for her neck. She bit down hair while Abigail started to hit her and pull on anything she could get her hands on, but Zara wasn't letting go.

Zara was fighting with pure anger, Abigail has never fought someone that's fighting with this much anger towards her. She normally just fight people that pisses her off, or people that she needs to fight.

Zara finally let go of her neck and roared at her. Abigail held her neck and tried to turn, but I could tell her wolf was afraid. I could feel her wolf backing down. She was losing so much blood I was shocked she didn't fall over by now. She had a big hole in her neck, a whole chunk was gone. I know if she wasn't focused on me at the time she would've known Zara was getting up and would've been able to fight back. She was token too off guard and now she's paying the price.

Zara stood by the children and growled loudly at Abigail.

Abigail looked up at me, eyes full of sadness. Her body was swaying side my said as blood just shot out of her from her neck, arm, stomach, and head. Zara definitely hit a vain. "I just wanted you to be mine" she said, before her eyes lost their light.

I looked over at her body. Abigail had been my best friend, someone I could talk to about anything. I loved her so much, just not more than my family. Now she's gone.

Zara was still in her wolf form, her wolf was on guard and growling like crazy at her body. She's expected her to get up or anything.

In just a short amount of time I said hello to my mate and pups and goodbye to my best friend. Both of the pups were crying while Zara's wolf stood her ground.

Abigail didn't deserve death, but she would've never stopped going after my family. I hate that she had to die, but I'm glad that now my pups are safe.

My family comes before everyone, even Abigail unfortunately.
