She did not know, but she talked about him like he puts the stars in her sky.

"I am a lesbian." Aubree opened her eyes as those words left her mouth. She was scared, scared that the worst will happen, that they will leave her. But when she met those smiling faces, she was stunt.

"That's great." Madeline said, standing up from her seat in the booth and running up to the other side to hug her. Zach followed her and ruffled her hairs, grinning.

"That's amazing." Max said, engulfing her and squeezing her into a bear hug.

"So, you all are okay about it, I mean, about me being you know, this?" Aubree asked, pulling away from them, looking at them uncertainly.

"We will always love you Bree, no matter how you turn out to be." Faye said before wrapping her arms around her, smiling.

"Its really hard for me you know, all this. I did not know what to do when I figured out that I am different." And a small tear escaped from Aubree's eyes as she laid her head on Faye's shoulder.

"Dummy, you are no different. You should know this, we will always be there for you. And about you being lesbian, that is fucking awesome, aha? You do not have to worry about anything." Faye murmured, patting her head.

"Well, well, now, how many people know about this?" Madeline asked, grinning ear to ear.

"Mom and you all. I am not ready to tell Dad, well, not now at least." She said, shaking her head.

"Wait, if you are a lesbian. What was going on between River and you?" Zach's eyes narrowed by a fraction as he looked at both River and her.

"Well, honestly, nothing might have been possible without River." Walking up to River, Aubree wrapped her arm around his shoulder, "He helped me figure out all these things."

"Wait, does that mean, you both were never dating?"

"He became my fake boyfriend. I... I was not ready to tell everything to you all and well, River kind of saw me with Lily. We thought that it will be best if we keep it as a secret until I figure out all these things. Then well, I kept on ditching you all in weekends to go to meet Lily next town. And well after some months, you all started questioning me, I did not know what to do and well, that is when River came with this plan."

"Who is Lily?" Faye asked, arching her eyebrows.

"Oh, she, well, she is, she is, my, my girlfriend." Aubree said, scratching the back of her head, heat running up to her cheeks.

All of them looked at her with a devilish glint on their faces.

"So, you were fake dating River?" Madeline asked which made her silently nod.

"Everything was well for some time but then it just was not. Lily and I kind of broke up and I was really really upset. That explains why I was like horrible after that. So that you all do not get suspicious, River called it off. You know, to make it more real." Aubree ended, biting the inside of her cheeks before turning around and embracing River, "Thank you for everything." She whispered.

"Well, well, now that everything is fine and secret is spilled, do you all wanna join me for coffee? Bree is paying by the way." And everyone turned to look at Max, shaking their heads, smiling.

"So, you mean, you do not worship Kyle anymore?" Madeline asked as she stopped the ignition in front of Faye's mansion.

"Well, I do not know but, I guess, I am not obsessed with him anymore. It feels like I never saw him for what he really was. Like he is not that perfect like I had imagined him to be. Like he never was the person I took him for." Faye said, shaking her head.

"That's good. You are finally seeing him for what he really is. And well, you know, he is dickhead." Madeline said, shrugging.

"Yah, I guess. It will take time for me to forget him you know but I guess I will be able to. I finally feel like, I dropped the shell."

"Um huh. Well... Faye, even I have to tell you something, something that I could not tell you that day at the fair."

"What is it?" Faye asked with a frown.

"I, I think, nooo I know, I, I like Zach."

"What?" And Faye's eyes narrowed by a fraction.

"I know, I am doomed, ruined. I think the middle school crush is taking its place once again." Madeline said, shaking, her hands on her face.

"Remember, in middle school, when I used to have this huge crush on him? And then suddenly, I was just lovesick and stalking him. But then, I just told you and Bree that the feelings are gone. They, they never were Faye. I am still hopelessly in love with him." Madeline said, whinning.

"Why didn't you tell me?" Faye asked, cupping Madeline's face between her hands.

"I thought it was not important. Your life already was a mess. I did not want make it worse for you with these silly things. But, but, that day in the fair..."

"Are you serious? Why the hell did you think that I will never be there, you bitch." Faye glared before hugging her.

"I wanted to tell you that day at the fair but then..."

"Hey, what happened?"

"I... I kissed him at the fair." And she broke down into tears. "I fucking kissed him... I kissed him." "I do not know why I did that, maybe it was the perk of the moment, cause we were in the ferries wheel and it was beautiful, he was beautiful, but... but I just did and, and he did not kiss me back. And... I just made a fool of myself." She said, breaking into sobs.

"Hey, hey its okay Mads, maybe he just got stunt. It was so sudden, maybe he did not get time to process."

"He will never like a girl like me. And we both are not someone who can be committed into a relationship. He is the playboy, even I am not some goody two shoes, love is not for us. Upon that, why will he like a whore like me when he can have any girl in the world."

"Do not you dare call yourself that, never call yourself that. You are fucking beautiful, awesome. You can have every guy in the world." Faye said, wiping her tears.

"Is it bad that I do not want any other guy, but, but him?"

"So, you mean to say, Mads like Zach?" River asked, laying his head on the king size bed.

Faye silently nodded her head, not looking up from her book so that River could not witness her bloodshot eyes.

"You do know that even Zach has feelings for her right?" He asked, getting up from the bed and walking up to her.

"Um huh." She said, before putting up a different equation in her notebook.

"Remember when he told us about his crush, me and you, it looked like he actually peed on his pants."

"Yah..."

"The hottest guy of the whole freaking world is here to meet you and there you are, sitting here with these bunch of shit?" He snatched the books from the desk and shook his head, smirking.

"What the hell River?" And for the first time, she looked up to meet his hazel orbs.

"What the fuck happened?" And he pulled her, making her stand up from the chair.

She looked nervous, as if there was something that was making her worry.

"What's wrong sunshine?" His eyes went through her features, worry visible on his face as he traced the side of her cheek with his thumb.

"I... I just, its its nothing." She said, shaking her head before turning around, facing away from him.

"Hey, you do know you can tell me everything, right?" He looked down at the floor, biting his lips.

"I... I..." She choke on her voice, making him walk up to her and intertwining their hands together. "What is it?" He asked softly.

"My mom signed the papers, the divorce papers." Her voice was breaking as she shook her head, still clutching his hand.

"Hey, its okay, its going to be okay, shhh..." He pulled her into his chest and ran his hands through her hair soothingly.

"I hate my parents for ruining everything but this... this is not the thing that I wanted. I feel like its cause of me. I... I do not want them to part, even if I know it will be better for both of them. Hell, what if, next thing I know, I am moving out and deciding whom to live with?"

She never was ashamed to speak her mind to him. Somewhere, she knew he will understand. That he will be their even if everyone else will leave.

Just as River was going to say something, they heard shouts and screams. Both of them ran downstairs just to see Faye's parents fighting with each other.

They were not the only one in there. Faye saw a woman hardly in her thirties standing beside the man she called her father.

"You just had to wait some months, just some months, you bastard, you already brought another woman in the house... what the hell will happen if the paparazzi will get to know about this..." Her mother shouted on top of her lungs, glaring.

"Come on, you are gonna stay with me the night." And grabbing her hand, River lead her to the front door, glaring at her parents.
