She's everything real in the world of make-believe...

"Yes, they have this unique ability to form bonds with other atoms of carbon, forming large molecules. This property, you know, when it bonds with each other is called catenation." Faye described.

"So, no other element can form bonds like this..." River asked, biting the end of his pencil and scratching the back of his head.

"Silicon can, upto eight bonds, after that, it becomes highly reactive, isn't really stable..."

"Alright... and what's up with saturated and unsaturated hydrocarbons?" River asked, writing something roughly on the textbook.

"Carbon atoms that are connected by only single bonds, are saturated and those with double or triple bonds are unsaturated...understood?"

"What are alkanes, alkenes and alkynes then?"

"Saturated hydrocarbons are alkanes, and alkenes along with alkynes both are unsaturated hydrocarbons."

"Cause they are double and triple bonded, right?" He asked, grinning ear to ear as he got the whole concept.

"Yup." She said, popping the 'p'.

"Well, looks like I finally figured out something..." He said, looking proudly at the notes that he had just made.

"Then let's take a break." She said, closing the textbook that was on her lap.

"Finally, I thought you were never gonna let go of me." He breathed out, instantly closing his notepad.

"How much did you get in your test once again?" She asked, a smirk visible on her face.

"I failed, alright. Stop making fun." He whined, standing up from the floor.

"You have never gone through the text, have you?" She asked, laughing as she extended her hand for him to pull.

"Not even once." He said, honestly.

"I know... organic chemistry is shit..." She said.

"Saying the one who haven't got a single C in her whole life. You know, I am starting to feel like, deep down you are a nerd." River said, taking her hand and making her stand up.

"I never said I am not." She laughed, walking out of her room, making sure that he follows her.

She felt him chuckling before saying, "I am hungry."

"Let's order pizza." She said as she sat on the couch that was in the hall.

"Why, where is Martha?" He asked as he took the place beside her.

"You know Georgina, right? One of our maids..." And when he nodded, she continued, "Well, her husband is sick, Martha and all the workers had gone to the hospital to visit him. I was about to go too, but then you appeared in my doorsteps, begging me to help you." She ended with a smirk.

"You are never going to let it go, are you?" He asked, shaking his head.

"Neva." She said, laughing.

"Whatever, want me to order pizza or not?" And when she nodded, she found him reciting her favorite topping on the phone.

A small smile grew on her lips as she felt something.

He remembered, he knew about her likes and dislikes. Maybe somewhere, he knew more about her than she does. It was silly really, but somewhere, she felt good and yes, warmness flooded inside her.

There was someone who cared so much about her likes and dislikes. And somewhere, she was thankful that it was him, that it was River Blake.

She flipped through the channels, looking for an appropriate movie for them to watch.

Blankets were draped around her as she sat on the floor, comfortably, a tub of nutella on her hand.

Suddenly, something caught her eye and an evil grin made its way to her lips.

"River, what's taking you so long?" She shouted, loud enough for him to hear.

"I am getting popcorn." He shouted back from the kitchen.

She waited patiently for him to come and as soon as he came back, she took the bowl of popcorn and made him look towards the screen.

"Nooooooo, this cannot be happening right now." He groaned as soon as he saw Kate and Leo in the television screen.

"It's one of the best days of my life." She said, laughing as she sat on the floor once again, raising the volume of the television.

River was just about to complain when, a knock on the door stopped him.

"That was fast." Faye said before standing up to open the door, thinking that it was the dilevery guy.

But as soon as she opened the door, the smile on her face faded away and she stood there, frozen.

"Hi."

"Kyle." She breathed out, looking at everything but him.

"Who is in the door?" She heard River's faint voice from behind.

She didn't say anything, suddenly she didn't trust her voice.

"Is River in there?" Kyle asked, a casual smile erupting on his face.

"Yah..." She trailed.

"Kyle." And she heard River's icy voice from behind.

"Hey man." Kyle waved towards him.

"What do you want?" River asked, glaring at him.

Faye knew River wanted to beat the hell out of him, Faye knew he was containing himself from doing something shitty and wrong.

"Wow, what's up with the fucked up mood?" Kyle chuckled.

"Well, actually, we are having a study session in here. So... it will be better if you will leave us alone." River gritted out, his hands forming fists.

"River, go inside." Faye said.

"I am not leaving you with this..." Before he could complete what he was saying, Faye stopped him with a squeeze in his shoulder.

"I am gonna be fine. Go..." She said giving him a tight smile which made him sigh in defeat.

"Fine." He breathed out, walking away.

"Is he alright?" Kyle questioned as soon as River was out of their sight.

"He's in his periods..." She replied shaking her head, making him laugh.

"Anyways, what do you wanted to talk about?" Faye asked.

"Well... ah, you have been ignoring me." Kyle trailed, scratching the back of his head.

"What?"

"You have been ignoring me since the event in the cafeteria."

"I... I am not." She said, stuttering.

"I do not know, I am sorry if you felt bad for you know, everything that happened there, but honestly, you were being a little... I don't know how to put it, immature I guess, well, I mean, it was the past and she was apologizing, but you didn't even take it. Honestly it's time to let it go."

"She ruined half of my life. Slept with every boy that I dated and you expect me to forgive her."

"She's not like that anymore Faye. Honestly, she has changed so much. Now it's time for you to take her back."

"Are you being serious Kyle? She ruined my life, went after the guy she, she knew, I loved. She made River go through shit. Somewhere, she broke my friendship with River and... and you expect me to forgive her?" Her eyes narrowed by a fraction as she looked at him.

"You know what? I just wanted you to accept her but looks like you are not ready. Your opinion matters and somewhere I tell you everything about my life. But I guess, you do not understand anymore." He threw his hands in the air.

"What do you mean I do not understand Kyle? She is not even sorry for what she did to me. And you know what? Its not that I don't understand you anymore, somewhere, I feel like it's the other way around."

"I fucking like her alright, I have always liked her and I am not asking you for anything... I just want you, my best friend to be happy for me."

And her heart shattered into pieces.

He accepted.

He really did like her.

A tear roll down from her eye as she stood there, frozen. She slowly looked at Kyle and giving him a small smile she shut the door, trying to remove his existence.

"What the hell just-" And River saw her on the ground as fat tears rolled down from her eyes, as she sobbed recklessly.

"Faye..." He instantly ran towards her and sat beside her, wrapping his arms around her.

"He does not love me River, he does not."
