He was bad. He smoked, he broke the law, he drove too fast for his own good. He didn't care because no one taught him how to.
But...
When it came to her, he wanted to be the best man. He couldn't bare the thought of her being hurt by him... or by anyone else. He would kill to protect her, the girl who cared about someone as worthless as him in all her perfection.

A groan escaped from Faye's lips as she shuffled from side to side on her bed.
Her head was pounding, throbbing. She held her head between her hands and pressed it, trying to get rid of the pain.
No, no it didn't work.
She opened her eyes, cursing.
Drinking that stuff last night was such a bad idea.
Her eyes instantly went to the wall clock and a gasp escaped from her lips.
It was 12 noon.
Fuck, she missed school.
Letting out a frustrated sigh, she slowly tried to get out of the bed, failing miserably. Her head hurt like hell.
How much did she drink last night, once again?
Wait...
She doesn't remember.
Sighing in defeat, she tried to stand up once again. And when she finally stood up, a sick feeling erupted in her stomach.
She felt sick.
She ran to the washroom and threw up all the content that she devoured the last night.
She was so fucked up.
Her eyes had bags under them, her hair was a mess and she looked pale.
She let out a frustrated sigh and grabbed an aspirin from the cabinet. Gulping it in one go, she looked at herself in the mirror.
She really did look sick.
But somewhere, it didn't matter. Even if with her pounding head and sick stomach, a small smile erupted in her face when last night's events ran through her mind.
It was such a beautiful night. With him by her side.
She loved it when they were not fighting, when they were having some alone time with each other. It made her feel happy, safe and somewhere, it made her feel calm.
He always had that affect on her. He had that tendency to always make her smile. No matter what happens, with him she feels like everything will get alright, she feels like he will make everything better.

Yes, she will never except it, but he was important, he was damn important for her and yah, no matter how much she says that she hates him, loathes him, she doesn't. Somewhere, she is nothing without him and she knew, she knew that if she is living right now, it's just cause of him.

Drying herself up, Faye walked out of the shower, somewhere feeling better than what she was before an hour.
She walked into the closet and grabbed a pair of shorts and a loose t-shirt.
After wearing them, she made her way downstairs. She was just halfway through the hall when a thought crossed her mind.
She didn't sleep in her bed last night. Did River carry her all the way down there? Did he walk home last night or did he stay?
Questions erupted in her mind but well, when she reached the kitchen, all of them vanished and answers stood in front of her.
There he was, making a stack of pancakes with Martha and singing to himself.
"No, honey, not like that. Flip it, flip the pancake... Yah, yah... like that... Now flip it once again... good, that's my boy." Martha said, ruffling River's hair as a grin made it's way towards his lips.
She watched as his eyes shined and as he jumped up and down. He looked like a kid who had just got a candy. An apron was tugged in his body and his cheeks were covered with the flour.
He looked adorable.
And looking at that, Faye laughed, a laugh that made both River and Martha snap towards her direction.

"Hey guys." She waved sheepishly, looking at both of them.
"I made pancakes." River grinned and walking up to her, he lung her up, spinning her around.
Faye laughed once again and throwing her head back she wrapped her hands around him. A warm feeling erupted in her heart as she found him bursting with joy in such a small thing.
He looks so happy, he looks so beautiful when he smile.
When he put her down, she raised her eyebrows, "And?"

"I didn't burn the kitchen. Come on, taste them." And he grabbed her hand, pulling her towards the counter.
"Let me serve you both." Martha said but before she could do something, River beat her into it.
"No, my love. You sit down and I am gonna serve you both." And holding her shoulders, River led Martha to where Faye was sitting.
"He looks so excited, doesn't he?" Martha said, laughing.
"Yah... He looks so happy." Faye said, the grin still visible on her face.
"Oh, you don't know, he was in the kitchen in about 6 am, struggling to make them. He looked so determined, god... and when, he finally did it, he was beyond happy." Martha replied, laughing.
"Yah, yah it's good to see him getting engaged in these works. I feel like, he's finally... moving on."
At that, Martha held her hand, giving her a small smile, but before she could say something else, River returned with a stack of pancakes and blueberry muffins.
"What's up with those muffins?" Faye asked, grinning ear to ear as he carefully placed the plates and glasses in the countertop.
"Oh those..." Trailing, he looked at Martha, giving her a knowing look.
"Well, I helped him in making them." She shrugged nonchalantly as River scratched the back of his head, giving her a sheepish smile.
"Anyways, why don't you both start?" He said, gesturing towards them.
Rolling her eyes, Faye looked at the heavenly delights.
They seemed too inviting. The stack of pancakes were covered with a glaze of honey and were garnished with blueberries. The muffins were covered with whipped cream.
They looked mouthwatering and Faye didn't waste any time on looking, she instantly started to devour them.
A moan escaped from her lips as soon as she took the first bite of the muffin, "This is heaven." She said.
"Why, thank you milady." River said, grinning.
"I must say, he really did a good job." Martha laughed, she herself enjoying the little meal.
"You stayed the night?" Faye asked, taking a bite of the pancakes.
"Yah, I slept in the guestroom..." He replied, taking a bite of the muffin.
"Aha..." And the three of them started devouring without uttering a single word.
************************************
"So, Faye, your mother called yesterday." Martha begun as she and Faye took the plates to the sink.
"And?"
"And she wants you to go to Phoenix orphanage."
"Alright, I will go." Faye said, shrugging.
"Wait, did you just agree to something that your mother asked you to do?" River asked, his eyes narrowed by a fraction.
"Yah, well, I used to visit the orphanage during the holidays, when you were fucking up with spanish girls, you know... I kind of liked it there." She said with a shrug, making Martha roll her eyes.
"Alright, I will go home and get ready then ." River said, standing up.
"Where do you think you're going?" She asked, confused.
"Am gonna come with you?" He said, a smirk making it's way towards his features.
"No, no you are not." She said, shaking her head.
"Why not? He made you breakfast, he was being so sweet. Why are you so rough with this poor boy?" Martha walked up to River, ruffling his hairs.
"Yah, sunshine. I made you breakfast..." His smirk was still plastered on his face.
"Fine, fine, fine, you can come, alright." Faye stomped on the floor, grumbling under her breath.
That made both River and Martha shake with laughter.
Glaring at River, she groaned, running out of the kitchen.
"She really does hate me..." River laughed.
"No, no, she doesn't. She just... she just doesn't like to accept the reality. You are one of the most important person in her life, after all." And patting his head, she walked out of the kitchen, leaving him stunt and frozen.
You are one of the most important person in her life, after all.

8 219This reborn personal trainer is going to whip the royal army into shape!
Olympics Sports Trainer, Meg Thompson, had never even heard of an otome game, so when she died in Japan during the Tokyo Games and was reincarnated into one in error as the minor character, Briar Bell, she might have unintentionally messed just about everything up for the true heroine...Whether it was her befriending villainesses, or hanging out with capture targets, from the moment she was born she was setting the plot careening off course. (although if you ask her, the original storyline was stupid and hopeless to begin with #SorryNotSorry)The Heroine was supposed to seduce this medieval-esque kingdom's most eligible bachelors in order to use the power of their love to stop the encroaching demon army from destroying humanity with her heart magic. Playing the role of 'heroine' was another reincarnated woman named Sakura, a hardcore Japanese otaku who had previously been hit by a truck in a tale as old as time.Whether it is the fault of Sakura's social ineptness (as Briar would claim) or from her own interventions, humanity is now heading towards total decimation. Seems like she'll have to brush off her coaching skills and get this royal army into fighting form.
