I leaned over the open window; the misty drizzle moistening my face. I let the blustery wind twiddle my hair in different directions. I puffed a shaky breath and poked my palm out, letting the wind slapped my fingers in a caressing high five as the greenery trees blurred behind us.

"You okay?" I heard Ashton asked from the driver's seat. I looked at him over my shoulder and smiled, nodded.

The 'Family Day' Ashton talks about failed since we have to leave Scooty in the Pet Care Center because of the rule some establishments implement that no pets allowed. Leaving just the two of us. To say, I'm a little bit nervous. Why? I, myself, don't know. Or maybe I do but refuse to acknowledge it. The fact that Ashton and I head out on a date filled my system with so much unknown emotions I couldn't put my fingers what.

Ashton turned on the radio and the song 'Night Changes' of One D. reverberated around the confined area. He begins to hum and drum his fingers against the wheel. I leaned back and raptly watch him.

*Play the media above:)*

Even just in soft hums I could decipher the melodic tone on his drone. And without him knowing he was singing along and he sings so well! His smooth voice sends me goosebumps and an irrepressible shiver run down my spine. I watched him in awe and my heart fluttered when he send me a boyish grin.

"Fall for me now, moo?"

I blinked and then laughed. "In your wildest dreams."

"There's you and me." He continued and winked at me. I shoved him playfully on the shoulder as he made a turn at the street.

"Tch. You don't have to hide your thrilled emotions by hurting me. Just admit it. I would be happy to hear it."

We reached the city and Ashton brought me first to the Cinema. I let him chose the movie and a frisky grin smeared his face as he picked a horror movie.

The cold atmosphere circulates around the theater dropped two times as the movie getting more suspense and heart jumping. I clenched the hem of my jacket in anticipation as the serial hunts the lead character. From the corner of my eye, I noticed Ashton constantly shift on his seat.

When we were in the middle of the movie, Ashton kept glancing in my direction, checking if I look terrified.

"You can hold my hand if you are scared, moo." He offered next to me. "You don't have to be shy."

I smirked mentally. I sort of enjoy it actually. "I'm okay."

"No really. I don't mind."

I averted my gaze from the big screen and look at him. I narrowed my eyes infinitesimally as his gaze swiftly moved to the couple in front of us cuddling with fright then back to me.

So this is all about. Choosing a horror film and me being scared and seek haven to him so we could have a not so intimate moment with each other? I smiled mentally. What a nice and slick move coming from Ashton. Too bad I love horror movies.

Not want him to go home disappointed, I reached for his cold hand and laced his fingers with mine. I flashed him a smile and from the small light coming from the big screen I saw him smiled back.

After the movie we wandered in the bazaar hand in hand. A smile never fades on my face the entire time as Ashton kept on trying objects from the shops and made funny faces. One time he took the curly blue wig from the mannequin's head and set it on his head, and he then grabbed a thick brim eyeglasses.

"Aw. You look fab." I cooed and took a picture of him. He abruptly stole my phone from my grip.

"Fabulously handsome is too much, moo, but thanks." Ashton smirked. I rolled my eyes at his cockiness and took my phone from his hand and tucked it in my pocket. I grabbed the boy cut wig from the mannequin's head and pushed a sunglass on, imitating his action. "How do I look?" I asked.

He studied my face intently, making me squirm. His piercing blue eyes examining every features of my face. Then he stepped close to me. Really close making my cheeks flush. He leisurely traces his fingers from my arms down to the back of my hands. My breath caught in my lungs and the hair at the back if my neck rose. "You look just fine." He whispered.

And like a pro pick pocketer, he suavely pulled my phone at the back of my jeans pocket. Unlocked it and next thing I knew an image of Ashton smirking down at me and I looking up at him with a frown, flashed on my wallpaper.

"How- How did you know my password?" I stammered.

Silence. Ashton looked anywhere but me. "How did you know my password?" I repeated.

He sighed. "It doesn't take a genius to guess your password, Ann. Seriously, a code 1 to 5?"

He pushed back my phone and removed the wig from my head and his. "Don't worry. I didn't open your phone not until today." He assured when he noticed the uncertainty on my face. It is not that I have a nude pictures here or porn or whatsoever but this mobile is my digital diary. All the secrets and kept emotions are hid in this phone. And I don't want someone reading it.

"Sure?" I asked. He smiled and pinched my nose. "Sure."

We exited the shop and our feet lead us into the jewelry store. Ashton pulled my forearm. "Will you be fine if I'll leave you for a moment? I need the bathroom." He whispered and I nodded.

I moved toward the shop. I inclined forward the glasses, watching all the sparkling silvery and a simple silver bracelet with cow ornament dangling near its lock caught my attention. I grimaced when my eyes landed on its cost. Too pricey.

I sighed and promise myself to save money and comeback for the bracelet. I spun around and suddenly collided into someone. I hobbled back and his strong grip immediately connects on my shoulders, steadying me. I looked up and met with soft-earthy eyes.

"Ann?" He said.

"Hey East." I smiled.

Easton always put his one of a kind smile making him look so good. He's wearing a white button up shirt and denim jeans; his hair tousled up messily. My eyes drifted on the red paper bag on his hand.

"You bought something?" I asked. "What is it?"

"Oh this," he eyed the red bag on his hand then hide it behind his back, away from my view. "Um. Yeah."

"A gift for your girlfriend." I asked but it sounded more of a statement.

Easton's cheeks dusted with pinkish-red. I nodded understandingly and tuck the wild hair behind my ear. My brows shot up when Easton draw a sharp breath and stared at me, unblinking. His eyes are twinkling with fascination. I snapped my fingers in front of him. "Ui. You all right?"

"Yeah, no. I mean yeah I'm okay. And no this is not for my girlfriend."

"Then for whom? Your mother?" I asked. "I'm not being nosy," I added immediately. "Just curious. You don't have to answer if you don't want to."

He ruffled my hair fondly. I scowled and swat his hand away. "For my special someone."

Silence stretched between us. I didn't know Easton like someone. "She's a lucky girl." I stated. Easton is so sweet and charming. It is not impossible that every girl he liked will like him back.

He looked down at me and smiled. "No. I'll be the lucky guy. She's one of a kind."

I moved to the rings section and I could feel Easton's presence behind me. "How about you? What are you doing here? And... You're with someone?"

"I'm alone." The words leaving my mouth smoothly. I bit the inside of my cheek. "I mean I'm with—"

He nodded slowly and said. "Oh, okay. I- I have to go."

Then he added. "Nice jacket by the way." Hurt apparent on his face. A pang of guilt suddenly built in my heart. Gosh. I didn't mean to lie! I seriously need to order mouth filter online for my stupid mouth.

A smile suddenly etched on Easton's lips. A smile that didn't reached his eyes. "Bye, Ann. See you at school." He turned around and walked away. I pursed my lips in annoyance. I didn't mean to lie to him and now what have I done? I hurt him.

Just as I was watching Easton's retreating form, a familiar face caught my attention. My brows furrowed when Phillip exited from the ware supplies with two boys I recognized clearly.

Simone, the red head I recognized as the jerk who bumped me first day of school whispered something in Phillip's ear. He has a dirty reputation of using drugs and dealing with street thugs. The other one with suspicious white bag on his hand was Mike. Never in my entire life will I ever forget his face. My hands trembled and I blinked back the tears as the image of his ravished assault in the night of Victoria's party flashed in my mind. My stomach did a somersault as Mike's eyes locked with mine; a devilish grin carved on his face.

"Hey," I jumped in surprised when Ashton appeared from behind. "Are you okay?" He asked, his worried look searching my face. I gulped and looked over his back and they were gone. Ashton glanced the same way. Why is Phillip with those gorillas? What does Phillip have to deal with them?

"Come on. I'm hungry."

~•~

My eyes figuratively did a heart shape when Ashton brought me at the food park in the eastern part of the city. He tugged me at the Sweet Tooth sections and I clapped absentmindedly like a child handed her favorite lolly as all the mouthwatering sweets came into my view.

"I know you like sweets and..." He trailed off, scratching the back of his neck. He cleared his throat and focused his attention on the cupcakes in front of us. "Which do you like?"

A grin slowly appeared on my face. "How'd you know I like sweets?"

He coughed; pink shade blushing his cheek. "I- I noticed that th- there's always sweets on your tray during lunch."

"Ayyeee." By now, a full blown smile etched on my lips. I teasingly poke his rib and said, "Thank you, Leonardo."

He laughed. The sound so deep yet silvery in my ears. He flicked my nose. "No problem."

"Can I have a request?" I said, my voice coming honeyed. He arched his brow.

"Can you laugh again? Phuleasse." I sounded and probably look silly in front of him as I batted my lashes and stuck my bottom lip out in a pout.

An adenoidal sound left from him and his face turned red as his gaze moved from my eyes down to my lips.

"Ha.ha.ha. There, three laughs for you." He jested.

"Psh." I grumbled. We went to the counter and ordered chocolate and yema bar, strawberry fudge, nutella top, velvet and chocolate dip cupcakes, Oreo shake, choco and mocha frappe. With heaps of sweets on our tray, we head to our table and sat on the wooden bench with big umbrella over our heads.

"Is that Ashton from Costados?" I heard a girl gushed from the table next to ours.

"Oh. My. Gosh! What is he doing here?" The other answered.

I propped my elbow on the table and furtively glanced in their direction. Three girls are goggling with admiration at Ashton. The girl close to Ashton has an ebony locks and wearing a jump- suit. And the girl close to mine has long golden hair with pale blue eyes. She's wearing a maroon top and ripped- jeans while the other girl at the far edge facing us has shoulder length hair, bangs falling on her forehead.

They were batting their lashes and doing an excessive lip-licking and hair-flipping from time to time. I suspect they were the same age as ours. My gaze move to Ashton and a smirk played on his face as he slurped his frappé. My upper lip twitched when his eyelids delay and bit his bottom lip seductively. This cad. He is enjoying the fact that these girls are drooling over him!

My lips twitched into a frown as a sudden clogged of sadness and anger formed in my heart. But I immediately dismissed whatever feeling I was feeling and looked away. As much as I don't like to admit it, I have no reasons to be jealous, have I?

"He is so good looking." Commented the girl with curly-ebony locks.

"Yass. And he sings so good too!" The girl with long golden hair replied.

"Remember the battle of the bands between Costados and Greenvelt?" Bangs girl rested her chin on her palm and sighed dreamily. "He serenaded every girl with those sweet voice and lazy smile of his!"

Another sigh of infatuation escaped from their lips. Then their eyes swiftly flickered in my direction.

"Oops. Who is that girl across from him?"

"Certainly not his girl. He is still with Victoria, right? They are so perfect with each other."

"I know right. But I've heard Ashton split up with V in front of everyone. That must be drastic for her."

"Then she must be his new girlfriend." Bangs girl pointed at me.

Ms ebony- curls snorted. "Or maybe some hobo he found along the street and took pity." Ouch. That was harsh and uncalled for! I dug my nails on my palms I'm afraid it will bleed.

"Look at her hair. It's so untamed and her dress style? It's so... I can't find the right word to explain it. Seriously, a jogging pants and an oversized jacket?"

"Girls look, it has Ashton's surname print at the back."

The girl with ebony hair sneered. "Girls come on. Maybe he just lend it to her. Trust me. She's not his girlfriend. She's too plain for him. You know who Ashton's real girl is?"

The girls cocked their brows in question. The girl with ebony- locks swift her hair, winked and smiled devilishly. Suddenly she stood up. She trotted and swayed her hips toward our way.

"Hi," She turned at Ashton and said, her voice is sickening sweet. "We are from Greenvelt. I know our schools are not really in good terms but let us not allow our school to make a gap of what relationship may happen to us." She motioned her hands in front like she's shooing flies then let out a laugh which sounded fake.

"My friends and I just want to say hi. I'm Anica by the way." The girl added in one breath.

"So moo," Ashton started taking the girl in no interest. He didn't even glance in her way. "Have you made up your mind and finally decided?"

"Huh?"

He reached for my cheeks and lightly pinched it. "You know... about my proposal. We have to plan about our wedding!"

I choked on my drinks. "What nonsense are you—" I didn't able to finish what I was about to say when Ashton stood up and pull a seat next to mine. I could hear the loud beating of my heart when he hold my hand and draw it close to his lips and tenderly kiss it. His eyes never leaving mine.

Is this another of his 'ride-along' antics?

"Don't forget about our honeymoon." He lean in and whispered. I could feel his warm breath on my neck. The heat exploded in my veins and my heart thumping so loud against my chest. "You smell so nice."

I laughed nervously. "Leonardo, not here."

"Jerk." The girl muttered and sauntered away.

When she was out of sight, I elbowed him and he let out a grunt. "What was that for?" He said, rubbing his stomach.

"That's for being a jerk."

"You too?" He said incredulously. "By the way, why didn't you defend yourself from those female dogs?"

I shrugged. "It's not worth it. And besides, I know you're always there to defend me right? After you savour all the praises, Mr Celebrity."

He winked. "Of course, moo."

Like a switch, all the playfulness drained on Ashton's face when a group of boys walked on our table. My eyes turn wide when their faces registered in brain. The gorillas from the restaurants.

Just as I thought that our day is about to end, little did I know that everything is just began. Next thing I know, Ashton and I are running for our dear life.
