《Replacement Bride》Chapter 6 - Hamid

A week after returning back to my house, I felt like I was caged or something. That's because I had nothing doing at home except eating, watching movies, suiting myself in the workout room...
I used to go out for strolling as well but from time to time. Whenever I happened to be free, Amani would try her best to please me but despite that I just felt like she wasn't the right person for me.
She was a small girl and believe you me I didn't really see anything worth loving in her body. Like seriously? Can you ever love the girl that grew up before your eyes? The girl you've once seen playing around undressed?
I could remember the day her mother gave birth to her, I was among the family members that went to the hospital to see her that same day. She was cute and had that lovely smile. If only I knew I was staring at my future wife!
Everytime I recalled her childhood, I would heave a sigh and ask myself if I would ever see her as my wife. I mean, I still used to see her as just a cousin. And no matter how hot she seemingly appeared to me, I didn't really used to have erection.
The only time I had erection after looking at her was the day I stormed into her room with a Salaam and saw her half dressed. She quickly covered her chest and I turned my face. What took me to her room was the money contributed to her by my friends.
After giving her the money, I left and hopefully the erection was unnoticeable. Special thanks to my strong boxers, it held the idiot thing tightly and saved me the shame of disgracing myself before a child (Amani).

Today being Tuesday, I was in the dining eating breakfast when my phone began ringing. "Who's this please!" I muttered as I checked the caller I.D "Mtsww" I hissed dropping the phone, it was my boss from work.
The phone kept ringing until it stopped. And in less than a minute, it started ringing again. This time around I decided to pick it. "Hello!" I said, more like squealing.
"Hi, good morning Hamid" He spoke.
"Morning!" I muttered.
"Have you thought about your move? You can still come back to work, you know, and we would humbly welcome you" He said making me to gulp.
"How about Rahmat, are you bringing her back? Because if you are not..." I said as he cut in.
"Come on, Hamid. You know we can't bring that lady back, she has a very bad reputation and we can't afford to lose investors because of her" He said.
"Fine then," I muttered and continued. "If you can't bring her back then forget about me!"
"Wait Hamid, wait..." He said as I cut the call and then blocked his contact.
If only he knew how much I missed Rahmat, and also the fact that bringing her back to his company was the only way for me to see her again. Mtsww! I hissed losing interest in my food.
Thus, I stood and headed upstairs to my room. Amani was in the kitchen, she would clear the dining table as soon as she was done eating her own breakfast. Actually, she didn't like eating in the dining with me which I clearly understood.
...
While swiping through my phone in my room, bouncing from one social media to another, my door was gently knocked by undoubtedly Amani. "Yes, any problem?" I squalled.

"Can I come in?" She asked through the door.
"You are answering my question with question, Amani" I muttered.
"Sorry Ya Hamid" She said and continued. "There is no problem, it's just that I want us to talk about something"
"What exactly is that?" I quried.
"It's... it's... please mind if I come in?" She said making me to hiss.
"Fine then, come in!" I muttered.
"Thank you" She said as she gently pushed the door open and walked in, she was in her normal Abaya with her hair covered with a veil. "Sorry to disturb you please" She walked over to my bed and knelt by its side.
"What do you want?" I glared at her adjusting into a sitting position.
"Actually," she huffed and continued. "It's about my studies, I heard Jamb has started selling form already" She said as she timidly lowered her gaze.
"So, what do you want me to do?" I asked with a wrinkled brow.
"I want to further my education and I need your..." She said as I cut in.
"Support? You need my support? Well let me tell you, Amani, I am no longer working again and the only money I have in my bank account is 5.3million which we would be managing until I get another job!" I exclaimed.
"I am sorry, but I have some money with me. I can..." She said as I intruded.
"No, I won't allow that" I said.
"Why, Ya Hamid? It's my money ai, and nobody needs to know about it" She said already getting emotional.
"I said, no!" I squealed and continued. "No matter what, people will eventually know that you are sponsoring yourself and that would sully my name because they will say a lot of bad things about me"
"Please Ya Hamid..." She implored as I intruded.
"Get out of my room!" I yelled at her and guess what? She bursted into tears.
"Shikenan, no problem" She said amidst sob as she stood and left.
Seeing her in tears melted my heart but what could I do? Firstly, I had to manage my money. Secondly, it would be a shame for me to allow her to sponsor herself to school nor allow her parents to do the same because it was my responsibility to take care of her.
The society will not understand my situation, they would spread rumours about me and sully my name. They would tarnish my image if they ever found out she was sponsoring herself to school or somebody was doing that for her instead of me.
