《Clementine x Male reader season 1》Chapter 39: Plan for Crawford

3rd Pov.
Christa and Vernon had came downstairs, meanwhile Clem went back to holding onto Y/n.
Lee: Christa, how are you holding up?
Christa: I'm okay. Vernon did what he could for Omid. But he's got a real infection and he's running a hell of a fever. I'm worried if we don't get some real medicine in him soon...
Lee started to pace back and forth due to nervousness, while Carley was comforting him.
Molly: Will you quit pacing? You're making everyone nervous.
Y/n: Well we kind of have a reason to be, right?
Christa was upset and Molly wasn't making it any better.
Christa: Why are you even still here?
Molly: Hey, if your friend really can get that boat working, you're taking me with you as payment for saving your asses. I figure that's fair enough, don't you?
Ben and Kenny then enter the Room.
Lee: Well?
Kenny: (sighs) You want the good news or the bad news?
Carley: I think we could all use some good news.
Kenny: Good news is, the boat's seaworthy enough. In pretty good shape, mostly.
Christa: Mostly?
Kenny: That's the bad news. Gas tanks empty and her battery's dead. We need to fix both before she's taking us any place.
Y/n: Well, how are we supposed to get that stuff?
Lee: Sounds like Crawford is the one place that has everything we need. Maybe we should try there.
The others ,mainly Vernon and Molly, were super skeptical and worried about what Lee was suggesting.
Vernon: Now, hold on a minute.
Christa: Surely we have to try. If there are people left in this city who are still alive, who still have supplies...what harm can it do to ask?
Vernon: Trust me, you don't know these people. I do. You showing up with a wounded man? Might as well put a noose around his neck. They don't exactly welcome children with open arms, either.
Christa: What the hell kind of a place are we talking about here?
Molly: The worst kind. But I don't see what other choice we have.
Kenny: And just how exactly do you figure we do this? Because, from what I've heard, that place ain't exactly friendly to outsiders.

Molly: That's putting it mildly.
Y/n: There's got to be some way we can sneak in there undetected.
Molly looked worried not for herself but for her new "Brother", she knew or at least heard what Crawford was capable of. Y/n saw the worry in her eyes so he held her hand which seemed to calm her down.
Clem then holds down a bit tighter when she saw that, though not noticeable enough for people to see. She felt a weird feeling when she saw him hold her hand, though he let go after a couple seconds but she still felt whatever "it" was, a bit.
Clem: *Mind* Mine..I mean uh-....
But then she was snapped out of her train of thought and *Cough* *Cough* Jealousy, by Vernon when he spoke up.
Vernon: There might actually be a way.
Everyone began to listen to what Vernon had to say.
Vernon: I know the sewer system that runs beneath Crawford like the back of my hand. Y'all wouldn't happen to have a map by any chance?
Lee: Yeah, actually...
Lee unfolds the map and places it on the coffee table.
Vernon: I think I could lead us through so we could pass under the perimeter and right into the center, where they keep their supplies. We come up right underneath 'em, take 'em by surprise, grab what we need and get out before they even knew what hit 'em.
Y/n: Whoa, smart!
Molly: That's actually not the worst idea I've ever heard. I mean, it's close. But I don't know...maybe it could work.
Y/n: Just gotta have faith, Molly!
He said with a smile and excitement which made both Clem and Molly smile.
Vernon: I've thought about it before, just never had the people to do it. But I think if we all work together, we could pull it off.
Kenny: And what do you want in return for all this help you're giving us?
Vernon: Crawford doesn't just have what you need for your boat, they're also well-stocked with medical supplies. Medicine that my people could use, just as yours could.

Christa: We can do this. We have to!
Kenny: So...it's decided, then? We're going to Crawford?
Y/n: Tight!
Lee: We can do this. I know it.
Kenny: Hell yeah, we can.
Ben: Are we seriously talking about this? I mean, what about the risk?
After been piped up, Molly and everyone else in the room noticed a slight change in Y/n, the normally sweet and kind boy turned a bit aggressive.
Y/n: Jesus Ben, Can you not be a coward for five seconds?
Kenny: I don't know about you, kid, but I'd rather take a chance on doing something than just sitting around here waiting to die. That boat out there is an answered prayer, we just gotta push a little bit farther. Are you in or out?
Y/n: We should just leave him behind, be better for the rest of us...
Ben looked down in shame because he knew what he did.
Molly was surprised to see this side of Y/n, he's usually the kindest person around so it led her to ask herself what he did to cause Y/n to not like him.
Lee: We're not leaving him here if he decides to come, we need all hands to help.
Carley: Lee's right, come on kiddo.
Y/n: *Sighs* Fine, but if he does the same BS he pulled back on the street he won't like the outcome.
Y/n Then walks upstairs and Clem follows to help calm him down.
Vernon: We should go tonight, under cover of dark. I'll go let my people know, give you all a chance to prepare. I'll be back before midnight.
Christa: Be careful.
Vernon: That's how I'm still alive.
Lee then notices Clem and Y/n sitting on the stairs.
Clem: Is it going to be dangerous?
Lee: Is what gonna be dangerous?
Clem: Crawford.
Y/n: I can't lie to you, Clem. Yeah, it's gonna be dangerous. But it's the only way to get the things we need to make Omid better, and get the boat working. That's why we have to do this. Do you understand?
Clem: I don't want anyone else to die.
Lee: That could happen. But we have to take that risk, because it's just as dangerous not to.
Clem: I guess I should go get ready.
Lee: Uh, say what now?
Clem: You said you'd need all of us to do this. And you said I'm a big help, remember? Molly said Crawford is the only place left in Savannah that still has people. That means it must be where my mom and dad are, right?
Y/n: I don't think I'll find them in Crawford, Clemmy.
Clem: Why not?
Lee: Because they're good people. And Crawford is a bad place, run by bad people. I don't think they would have stayed in a place like that.
Clem: How do you know they're good? You've never met them.
Y/n: Well...they raised you, didn't they?
Clem blushed at what Y/n had said but then went back to asking.
Clem: Can't I come with you?
Before Lee could speak, Y/n spoke up.
Y/n: I say we let her, I mean we'll both be there to protect her along with Carley and it's better then leaving her here with only Omid, who *Whispers* Isn't looking to good.
Lee sighs then looks at Clem.
Lee: Okay, you can come. But you have to promise to stay quiet and do exactly what you're told the whole time we're there.
Y/n intertwines his fingers with hers which makes her smile and they both blush.
Y/n: Don't worry, we'll protect you no matter what.
Clem: Okay. I'm gonna go get ready.
A/N: Thank you for reading and liking what I've done so far, I'm gonna do each season of the walking dead game, with minor twists and after I've done season 4 I may continue on a season 5 but I'm not sure. I also plan on doing a Noodle x Male from the beginning to the current, and a toph x male, Korra x male, Tsuyu x male, Steven universe Peridot x male? Basically a lot more stories.

Fateless: The Silver Lining
It has been ten years of peace for the Union since the end of the great war with the eastern barbarian tribes, yet in the cold north of the Union's land, a new threat is looming. This time, an ambitious Lord is seeking to restore the yore pride of his kin, forcing the weakened Union into yet another unwanted war, as he ramps up the ranks of his army with thieves, murderers and mercenaries.* * *The temperature inside the forge was nearly twice as high as the one outside. A black-haired girl hammered a steel ingot into the shape of a blade. The heat of the steam was draining her stamina away, but her focus remained sharp as her sweat streamed down her face. Hit after hit, for hours, the sound of the hammering steel followed the rhythm of her breathing. Exhausted, she placed the blade into the water and wiped the sweat off her face using a drenched rag. Why are they screaming? Vatra dipped the rag back in the water, twisted it, and approached the window. Her mouth opened as her world shattered again into the living nightmare she had wilfully tried to forget. She bit her lips; it wasn’t a dream. The pulse of her heart rose. A cold sweat prickled her back. A mother was running, and a child was screaming. A torrent of smoke was emerging from the roof of her neighbour. Vatra’s eyes blinked. The mother lay on the ground, a spear through her back. A torch circled in the air and landed on the roof of her workshop. In the distance, a man wearing a banner well known to the world… Fateless is a philosophical medieval dark low fantasy centered on war, militaristic campaigns and geopolitical conflicts between multiple empires. This story follows the fate of Vatra, a former slave from the eastern Nar Empire who was raised in a culture far away from her own, forced into warfare against her will, and the fate of Lanaya, an ambitious half-angel exiled from her home whose existence is seen as heresy. As they wished for peace, both chose a path opposed to one another until their fate crossed. In this story where war dictates the law, love strikes them as a poisoned balm to which they grasp for with all their might, as it is in the darkest of times that the smallest flames may burn the brightest. * * * Tome 1 already completed and available on Amazon: https://www.amazon.ca/Fateless-Silver-Hugo-Emmanuel-Simard-Wallot/dp/B09LGSH1KK Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/Hugo-Emmanuel-Simard-Wallot-100547579135891/ I will publish 1 chapter per week (sometimes 2 if the chapters are too short for my liking).
