《the unwanted twin》chapter 82

Monday morning wasn't the best for anyone. Especially Matteo who was practically being subjected to a therapy session run by Mason.
Emilia had been woken up by Damon who practically gave her a therapy session too. But Emilia definitely felt better, he had been quite repeatative when it came to telling her she was loved.
She was half glad when Dante declared it was time to leave.
Now Dante and Emilia sat in the car, Dante driving.
"I'm sorry" Dante suddenly said.
"What for" Emilia asked having no idea what Dante had done.
"For being quite distant, we don't do stuff together anymore" he said.
"Oh. Well I guess there is just a lot going on at the moment" Emilia replied.
"That's no excuse. How about this weekend you and I spend the day bonding" he suggested.
"I'd like that" she said smiling.
She had missed spending time with just Dante.
When they reached school thrywent their seperate ways, Emilia found Antonio at his locker after visiting her own.
She didn't say anything at first, instead she hugged him. He was suprised but hugged her back. "are you okay" he asked. She looked up at him and nodded before moving her head back to its original spot which was leant against his chest.
"Ok but if you're not we can talk about it" Antonio wasnt convinced since she never greeted him like this before.
"You two really need to stop playing about" Sophia said appearing out of nowhere. Their entire friendship group especially Sophia since she was closer to Antonio and Emilia, were all waiting for them to announce they were together.
Emilia broke out the hug and looked to Sophia "what do you mean" she whispered.
Sophia grinned "oh nothing" she said.
Antonio rolled his eyes at Sophia. "We have class, let's just get going yeah?"
Maths was boring for them, thankfully they were sat together with Emilia in the middle.
By the end of class they were ready to drop out of school. Only minutes after leaving the classroom did Luca appear in front of them.
"I'm pretty sure we have class together Emilia, let's walk together" he said, he didn't give her much time to answer, she nodded her head knowing Antonio and Sophia were in a different class.
Luca smirked and pulled Emilia away.
"I don't like him" Sophia said once they were gone.
"You barely like anyone" Antonio stated.
"He's worse than her brothers though" Sophia exclaimed.
"Worse? Don't let them hear you say that. They are so much worse"
"I don't agree, at least we know her brothers won't hurt her. Luca might"
"What are you saying " Antonio asked
"I don't know. Luca is a player, what if he's using her "

Antonio didn't know how to respond to this, he didn't like that.
"Oh and don't think you're fooling anyone with the 'we are just friends' bullshit"
"We are though" Antonio defended.
"Yeah 'just friends' " Sophia said using air quotations around just friends.
Meanwhile Luca and Emilia were walking to class.
"So anyway i think we should go on a date" he out right asked her, not wasting anytime.
Emilia didn't even like Luca that much, she didn't even see him as a friend but despite this she wrote out a reply
Why
"Why not, despite how I come off, I'm actually a nice person"
Emilia did not trust Luca but he did see through Lexi's lies and he didn't appear to be a threat so she agreed.
Okay
"Great. How about tommorow night" he suggested.
Emilia nodded knowing asking Damon would be the best option.
At lunch, Luca didn't give her the chance to sit with her friends, he took her straight to his table. Emilia was uncomfortable and when she looked around she saw Dante glaring at her...well she presumed it was at her but Dante was glaring at Luca who sat right next to her with his arm around her shoulder.
Emilia wanted to go back to her friends but didn't want to upset Luca, he clearly wanted to spend time with her and he was being really nice, he introduced her to his friends and tried to involve her as much as he could with the conversation.
She looked at her friends, they all looked to be doing just fine without her, they talked and laughed amongst themselves, it made her feel stupid, she wanted them more then they wanted to be around her.
Luca saw an upset expression "you okay" he asked.
She nodded in response, she was being childish now and she knew that was a bad thing.
What she didn't know was her friends were missing her but they respected her decision to sit with Luca, although they did feel a bit betrayed.
"Do you think he asked her out" Evan asked looking over.
"Well his hand is over her shoulder and she's not sat with us, I'd say that was a pretty good guess" Lucy replied.
Luca pulled Emilia into a side hug at this point and Antonio suddenly got up. He wasn't going to do anything as he didn't want to come off the wrong way but he didn't like how he was hugging her. He walked out of the cafeteria in anger. What she saw in Luca was a mystery. He wasnt good for her.
Emilia noticed Antonio leave and decided no matter how much she didn't want to upset Luca, Antonio leaving was more important so she quickly wrote out

I need to go
Luca had seen Antonio leave and didn't like how much the boy effected her. He wasn't going to tell her that though. He didn't want to be that type of person. "Ok sure, give me your number though" he said.
Emilia quickly wrote down her number and ripped the page out for him before hurrying off to find Antonio.
Dante and Matteo could finally stop their constant glaring. Instead it was just hateful glances.
Dante wanted to go after Emilia but Matteo stopped him "you saw how happy she was around him yesterday, let it go" Dante reluctantly agreed, he hated to admit it but the smile on Emilia's face as she laughed with Antonio yesterday made him almost approve of their friendship.
Key word being almost.
The corridors were empty when Emilia caught up to Antonio who was taking out books for the next classes.
"Antonio" she quietly said to get his attention.
Antonio slammed the locker shut as he turned to her. "What is it Emilia" he asked a little impatiently.
"I just wanted to check to see if you were okay" she whispered.
Antonio really didn't want to be possessive or controlling but he couldn't help the next words that came out of his mouth "really? Because you didn't seem to care when you went and sat with him without telling us"
"I'm sorry but he asked me out and I said yeah and he wants to talk and he was making an effort" Emilia whispered, she didn't like how Antonio was at the moment.
Hearing these words, Antonio didn't know how to feel. He cared a lot more than he should. They were just friends so he shouldn't care...just friends.
"Then why are you stood asking me how I am when you should be with your new boyfriend"
"He's not my boyfriend "
"Not yet give it a few days and you will be, you won't even come near us I bet"
"It's not like you guys will even notice, you all didn't seem to care"
"Oh is that how you see it. You're our friend Emilia, of course we care but we respect your decision to sit with your stupid boyfriend "
"He's not stupid and he is not my boyfriend" Emilia defended getting annoyed with Antonio
"No he's just using you, like he does every girl" Antonio said
"he's not"
"Oh but he is. You don't belong with him Emilia " Antonio regretted saying it because he came across as controlling now but he just wanted her safe.
"It's just a date" Emilia didn't seem the harm in it, growing up, since highschool started, she had seen Lexi go on tons of dates and nothing came of most of them.
"Yeah now it's just a date, it won't be for long"
"Why do you care" Emilia asked more harshly.
Antonio paused. Why did he care? They were just friends.
"Because you're sitting with him, you didn't tell us, you won't even acknowledge us soon" Antonio said with a little anger , what he didn't say was how he hated it, how he hated seeing them that close.
"What? No!" Emilia said.
"I'm gonna go tell him I don't want this date, I don't want to loose you guys over a stupid date" she added turning to leave.
Antonio gently grabbed her arm to stop her and turned her back around "you can't do that. I don't want you not going on a date just because of this. You deserve to be happy, you should go on this date" he said softly, he had calmed down now that he had said what he had done but he really did calm down fully when he saw he had upset Emilia.
"But I don't want to loose you" she whispered, her voice cracking slightly.
Antonio pulled her into a hug "you never will" he whispered.
Emilia held onto him tighter. He meant so much to her, Emilia couldn't loose Antonio. Her friends were great, she had never had friends before so she was still figuring it out but they were so kind and supportive especially Sophia who had quickly become her best friend.
Antonio though, she couldn't loose him. He calmed her even when he would just hold her hand , he made her feel safe, he was fun to be around and she felt comfortable enough to talk to him.
"I'm sorry Emilia, Forgive me?" Antonio quietly whispered as they hugged.
Emilia nodded and buried her head in his chest. She hated how they argued but she easily forgave him because she saw it was done because he was concerned.
"I really am sorry" he mumbled.
Eventually they parted from the hug. It was almost end of lunch by now "hey we should we go get your books from your locker before the hallways get busy" he asked knowing she hated getting books when it was crowded. Emilia nodded in response.
Antonio picked up his bag that had been laid on the floor and put it over his shoulders before taking hold of Emilia's hand "ok so let me tell you what happened in class, our friends are weirdos" Antonio said as they began walking.
And just like that they were back to normal and the argument was forgotten.

8 164To Blunt The Sharpest Claw
The Velvet Paw of Asquith Novels are a series of New Fable genre novels that involve cats and dogs and high adventure and romance and espionage and food-fights and hotels and explosions and car chases. With large casts, exotic locations and an absurdity only possible in the absence of human characters, the Velvet Paw of Asquith Novels blend Wind in the Willows with James Bond, though with more cafes and fewer badgers. This submission is the third title in its Morigan Trilogy, beginning two-thirds of the way through the series' longest adventure yet. Here's a quick recount of what's happened so far: When Oscar Teabag-Dooven, a Velvet Paw of Asquith, is ordered to investigate how a mysterious poet, the Ar'dath-Irr, is able to travel instantaneously around the world, two very bad things happen. Firstly, he meets Lydia, an insane librarian who punches everyone in the face, and secondly, the Ar'dath-Irr reveals he is intent on taking over the world. Although this second thing might be considered worse than the first, Oscar feels differently following Lydia’s destruction of a cafe, a library and his face in one afternoon. In comparison, thwarting world domination just seems easier. Along with Binklemitre, a fellow Velvet Paw of Asquith, and Lydia, Oscar infiltrates the Ar’dath-Irr’s realm of dark poetry to discover the dog not only intends wrenching the world apart but has no intention of cleaning up afterwards. As a result, Oscar decides it’s all too hard and goes home to have a bath. After lots of arguing and the sort of food fight that posh restaurants were invented for, Lydia and Binklemitre convince him that they must stop the Ar’dath-Irr for several reasons, one of them quite serious. A vibrant cast of characters collide as Oscar, Lydia and Binklemitre battle the Ar’dath-Irr and his disciples in an adventure involving exploding cafés and appalling hotels, car chases and inadvertent surgery, dreadful poetry, lots of arguments and at least one temper-tantrum, all of which draw the three into dark and convoluted corners of a world they weren’t aware existed. Moreover, any chance of sitting down and discussing things over some buns disappears when Lydia punches the Ar’dath-Irr in the face. This results in her having a psychotic episode and Oscar getting run over by an ambulance. Although Binklemitre suffers neither, he witnesses both, which is almost as dreadful, though not nearly so messy. An enormous battle ensues, followed by a dinner party and then everything explodes.
