《the unwanted twin》chapter 72

Emilia struggled to get it off since she only had one arm so she eventually gave up.
All she could think about was the gun.
There was a big difference between playing games and an actual gun. She didn't want to go near him.
There was a knock at her door. She reluctantly told the person to come in.
Mason entered looking dreadful "sorry about before, let's try get it off yeah" he said calmly.
"Why does he have a gun mason " Emilia asked.
"I think it's best he explains it but to put your mind at ease, he has that gun legally "
Mason had chosen his words carefully, the gun he carried around with him during the day he owned legally as Damon realized if he was some how stopped by the police or if someone saw him carrying a gun and reported him, he would get in trouble so he got himself a gun licence so he had no issues carrying one.
Since he was extremely smart, he always covered his tracks, there was the occasional rumour he was the Mafia don but no one could ever prove it he had no criminal record suprisingly. He played the roll of a cold hearted businessman well during the day.
"Has he ever used it" she asked.
"Im not sure Emilia" Mason didn't want to anwser that.
"Now let's get that thing off"
Mason took her downstairs to the kitchen and grabbed a first aid kit. "Why does he hate it so much "
"He just does Emilia. I know you want anwsers but some things are best that you don't know" Mason said taking out some rubbing alcohol.
He took her arm and gently began rubbing it in the gang tattoo. "Back to school tomorrow, how are you feeling?" He asked making conversation.
"Honestly I'm scared"
He wasn't expecting that. "Why Lia? Is someone bothering you?" He was concerned for her now.
"It's just I'm not used to the whole talking thing. I know I need to but once I start I won't be able to use a notebook and I'll be expected to talk in front of everyone" she said. She wasn't worried about Brittany as she could handle her.

Mason pulled her into a hug "you never have to talk if you don't want too"
"I do. It's just I'm scared to talk"
"How come"
"I wasn't allowed to talk, I'm scared someone will turn around and do something bad if I talk"
"No Emilia. No one will ever do anything bad like that again " he said firmly and tightened his hug.
"Besides if they do you can tell one of us and we will definitely be letting them know that you can talk" Mason added.
"I'm sorry for getting you in trouble today" Emilia whispered.
"Oh it's fine, I have gotten in worse trouble" he said.
"Like what, you seem like someone who rarely if ever gets in trouble" Emilia asked genuinely interested.
"Well when I was 17, I went to this party. It sounds normal right, only thing was, Matteo snuck out and hid in my car, he wanted to know what a party was like. Anyway I don't realise until im playing beer pong that my 13 year old brother is wandering around the party and has had a few drinks. He thought the punch was fruit juice or some shit. I got in so much trouble from dad that night" Mason told her as he continued to remove the tattoo.
Emilia couldn't help laugh. It didn't seem like something he would do but she realised he probably wasn't as good as he made out to be.
"Yeah you laugh now but dad was going crazy, he thought Matteo had been kidnapped, he was ready to get the police involved"
"But couldn't he have called you and asked"
"He did but I never anwsered. Dad was big on safety and after what happened with you and Lexi...well he feared the worst thinking Alice had gotten Matteo too"
"I'm sorry you had to go through all that stuff because of her" Emilia said, she felt sorry for them all since they all suffered.
"It wasn't your fault Emilia, you were just a toddler. An annoying one at that"
"How come I was annoying "
"As soon as you learnt to walk all you did was follow Damon around. Never wanted to spend time with me, it was Damon or dad "

Emilia smiled at this.
"Actually do you want to know your first two words "
Emilia nodded. She didn't regret getting that tattoo because she doubted she would have had this conversation.
"Papà was your first word"
"Dad" Emilia said.
"Yes. You would walk down the hallways shouting for dad, he would obviously come as soon as he heard you. One time, when you learnt more words, I remember you were upset because Damon was busy with me so you cried and went to dad, we obviously followed you. And when dad picked you up, you pointed at me and basically said 'dad, he stole damon' well that's the rough translation I guess"
Emilia laughed at this story. It was certainly amusing for Mason too.
"What was my second word"
Mason laughed at this question "demon" he stated.
"What do you mean" Emilia questioned.
"You mixed up Damon's name, you called him demon"
This really had them both laughing this time.
"So little you would run down the hallways shouting demon. Or even crying 'Papà ha rubato demon' which translates to dad he stole demon"
Emilia smiled, she wished Alice didn't take her, living with them sounded fun and she knew from the past month it was also full of love.
"It's all off now. Would you like to watch TV before" Mason said once the laughter had died.
"Okay"
The next morning.
Emilia was in a hurry to get ready, she ignored the pain in her head. It was just a headache, it would go soon. She went downstairs to see everyone eating. "Sleep well Emilia?" Alesandro asked when she took her seat. "Yeah it was okay" she anwsered.
She glanced over at Damon who was quietly eating, he had a permenant glare on his face. She remembered the gun and she shivered. Mason said he had it legally though, so it wasn't like he had a dark reason, right?
She remembered her conversation with mason last night. How he told her she used to call him demon.
She couldn't help but laugh.
It probably seemed weird but looking at Damon, she could see the resemblance, he was scary as hell and had serious anger issues.
Mason saw she was glancing at Damon and knew exactly why she was laughing and couldn't help but laugh too.
"Are you both okay" Alesandro asked his children.
"Sorry yeah it's just...." Emilia said but couldn't bring herself to finish due to laughter, mason was making it worse.
"I might have mentioned a little of what she was like as a toddler" Mason finally said.
Alesandro smiled fondly "ah yes I always did find your behaviour adorable"
Even Damon had a smile as he remembered his sister. He had been closer to Emilia simply because he was closer to Alesandro rather than Alice. He was his dad's double. And because Alice didn't want Emilia, Alesandro mainly took care of her which meant Damon grew more close than he was with Lexi.
After breakfast, Matteo and Dante decided they should get to school so Emilia quickly got her bag. She gave mason a hug and said goodbye, she even managed to give Alesandro a hug.
She couldn't with Damon yet. She was still scared and couldn't forgive him just yet for his actions. However despite this she waved goodbye "bye demon"
Damon coughed as he had been drinking coffee at the time. He smiled remembering the nickname "brat" he muttered.
He smiled as he watched her leave, clearly amused.
"You told her" he said to mason once they three youngest left.
"Yeah i also mentioned how she claimed I stole you" mason replied.
"It was adorable" Alesandro said, he had laughed himself when she called him demon.
"Fine. I need to get to work. I have a very important business meeting "
Alesandro and Mason were confused. He was going to his legal business but he had a grin like he was going to do illegal work.
"What meeting "
"A meeting with a girl in Emilia's class parents. I want Brittney out of that school, by the time I'm done with them, they will be ready to declare bankruptcy"
Damon left after he spoke. His intention was to break his deals with Brittneys parent's, they would then have no income and be forced to sell their business, sure they would have a bit of money but they wouldn't be able to afford to send their daughter to that school anymore.
He only had Emilia's word so he had punished her but he also didn't want Brittney around her so he wanted her gone.

Kingdom of Tyr (Original)
This fiction has been concluded as of the end of Book 1, the portion of the story posted here. There will be a complete rewrite as a separate fiction in the future to make the system more consistent and add more to the world while expanding on the events within this fiction. This rewrite will begin eventually, posted as a separate story. Colt, twelve, is walking home from school when he's approached by another boy dressed oddly, who asks him - theoretically - about living in another world. After asking some information about the theoretical other world, Colt says he'd probably prefer to live there, to get away from the problems he has on Earth. Once Colt confirms that, he finds himself in an abandoned city, the other boy revealing himself to be a god, who then offers to train Colt until he can stand on his own and live by himself. After a couple of months, the god sends Colt off for greater training, to learn to use both Aura and Mana, with his only instructions being to return every now and then to visit, and to make friends and have lots of fun. This story follows Colt, a boy named Tyler he meets in the new city, and their journey to growing stronger, having fun, and striving to beat each other. Note: this story is not intended to be professional-quality, and it does draw inspiration from many sources. That said, it is its own story, in its own world. It has never been and never will be edited. It will also have multiple PoV's, starting somewhere after Chapter 8.
