《the unwanted twin》chapter 49

It had been a few days since Emilia had come home, she wasn't in hospital for long but she was off school. The other 3 were back at school though.
Lexi had dumped the knife in a nearby river on a break, she was careful to not be caught.
Emilia was distant, she didn't leave her room. Everyone tried but they knew she needed time. They would sit with her and talk, she never anwsered, she barely nodded it shook her head and it worried them greatly.
It was just after dinner now, Alesandro, Damon and even Mason had taken it in turns on days they wouldn't work so someone was always around.
During dinner, Lexi continued her act, asking how Emilia was and so on.
Damon was quiet, deep in thought.
Alesandro was trying to cheer his kids up.
Mason ate quietly.
Matteo wasn't really hungry and was playing with his food.
Lexi asked about Emilia but are normally.
It was Dante's turn to eat with Emilia, they took turns, yesterday had been Alesandro.
They didn't want to overwhelm her so they only went in one at a time.
Dante told Emilia about his day as they ate, he kept pausing to encourage Emilia to eat a little more. He was concerned about her and he knew he would need to tell their dad about it.
Meanwhile Damon was frustrated, he was getting nowhere. No one suspious was seen on the school grounds. It was a member of staff or student. 10 classes were let out early. Roughly 150 students, and quite alot of staff as he had to take into account receptionists ect.
He then had the chance to see who had gone near that area, nothing suspicious only students walking past and teachers.
He determined whoever did it had walked past with the other students and teachers and waited in the blind spot.
He checked the camera in the other direction, again nothing suspicious, there was lots of students missing as they had gone up the stairs further onto the next floor where they had presumably gone to their lockers.Another blind spot.
No witnesses were there.
No weapon found.
Cameras didn't show anything. There was quite a few blind spots.
He had figured out what had happened, the person came out with others, waited and stabbed her, most likely pushing her down the stairs and waiting until students finished and left with the rest of the students.
This person was clever but he was a hell of alot smarter.
He was sat going over the names of students in the classes that had been let go early. He then noticed one in particular and a wicked grin appeared on his face.
He decided to go have a little chat with that person.

He knocked on Lexi's door, Lexi heard it and managed a few fake tears before opening the door.
"We have all been paying so much attention to Emilia that I forgot no one has asked about how you are" Damon asked playing the concerned brother.
"Oh..I'm okay, I just wish she would speak to me" Lexi anwsered, a little suprised he was asking her.
"Yeah me too. May I come in"
She nodded and let him in.
"It's terrible what happened, but you don't need to worry I'm close to catching the person who hurt your twin" Damon said looking at her carefully.
"Oh. How far are you" Lexi asked keeping a straight face.
"Well I've limited the list of people down, it turns out your class was one of 10 that got let out early. Funny that isn't it" he said like it was a casual conversation.
"Yeah it was" Lexi agreed.
"Lots of people heading home, I wonder why no one saw" Damon said, he knew the reason. Everyone was more interested in going home, it wasn't a corridor you would go through to go home.
"I don't know, what's your point to this anyway" Lexi asked.
Damon smiled, a vicious smile, he stepped closer to her until he was right in front of her. "Well I suppose it's a good job it didn't happen to you, however I should ask, did you see anything happen"
"No"
"That's a shame, oh well whoever did it can't hide from me, no matter how clever they think they are, I'm always two steps ahead. I'll find them so it doesn't really matter if you saw anyone" his words had a terrifying undertone to them. He smiled and he patted her arm which would be seen as comforting to anyone looking but in reality he had patted the arm which he had cut as a reminder.
"No one can hide from me, I may not have a name now but don't worry I'll find who did this to your sister and get revenge just for you"
He smirked. He may not have out right said it but she was a suspect as horrifying as it was. He needed to cover every possibility.
He never considered family relationships when he was pissed and he definitely was pissed.
"I do think the stabbing was a terrible job, it was rushed and sloppy, If I wanted to hurt someone I'd have personally stuck the knife in deeper and twisted it around a bit then I'd have dragged it through my victim and sliced them open"
He stopped himself from going to far but he had a pychotic grin on his face.
He was a twisted and psychotic man at times, it was obvious from his grin that he found pleasure in causing pain, and that he loved talking about it.

"Anyway you don't need to worry, you didn't see anything"
And with that he left like nothing happened. Like he hadn't subtly threatened to stick a knife in her. Like he hadn't just told her what he's capable of.
He went back and decided he would work downstairs instead of his office, just so If Lexi dared come down he would see her.
He also decided to do his job and anwser several emails that he needed to reply to. He had put all his meetings on hold but he still needed to keep up with his legal businesses.
What he didn't expect was time to pass so quickly. No one bothered him knowing he had alot of work to do.
Well that was until Alesandro entered. "She's still not talking, Dante says she's not eating well either" Alesandro said walking in. He shut the door behind them so they could talk privately. It was late so everyone was in bed.
"Yes well we just need to give her time" Damon said.
"Yes I know that, I just want that person found. I have spoken to the principal, we can rule out teachers, most were in the staff room if they weren't teaching, the others in the offices" Alesandro explained.
"Okay that narrows it down slightly" Damon said.
"Yes and I have some even better news"
"What" Damon wasn't in the mood.
"I contacted the prison to find out the visiting schedule, they are only there on drug charges so who knows they might be out soon. We will be going once Emilia is better"
Damons mood changed and he smiled as he planned out their murder.
"Fantastic. I can't wait to talk to them" Damon smirked.
"Oh I know, I can finally stop being so calm. I'm definitely going to have some fun"
"Married to that bitch for 14 years and I didn't fucking realize she was a abusive psycho"
"Bet you regret getting together now. Maybe you could start dating again after all this is over" Damon stated, he did feel sorry for his dad though, he needed to get back out there and start dating now that they were all older.
"I don't think so and she was a bitch but I got you guys thanks to her so I don't regret it"
"How weirdly cringey" Damon muttered
"Shut up" Alesandro snapped
"Nah, your actually a softy" Damon continued
"Says the big bad mafia boss who likes to cuddle" Alesandro teased.
Damon smiled slightly thinking back to the times he had with her. The moment she had said she loved him and the moment she called him her favourite were the best for him.
"Will we get her back" Damon asked, he didn't mean to come off as vunerable but he was worried sick about her.
"Yes of course, how about we discuss a strategy, it will help take your mind of things"
They then spoke quietly about what they would do to them, and how much progress had been made.
The conversation suddenly died when the door opened. They expected it to be one of the boys but in walked Emilia, she didn't say anything, instead she sat down next to Damon and leaned onto him. Damon was taken back but he lifted his arm slightly and she got herself comfy, he placed his arm back down stroking her hair.
It was her first time out since they got back.
"Hey how are you doing? Are you okay?" Damon asked, he expected a little nod.
"Nightmare " she whispered to them both
Damon was too shocked to speak.
"Mia bambina, how dare that nightmare, Ill have words and tell the nightmare never to bother you again" Alesandro said hoping for a smile out of her.
She smiled.
"Just remember bambina those nightmares may or may not have happened and we will always be here if you want to talk about them but remember you won't ever have to go through what they put you through again " Alesandro said becoming serious.
"He's right. What happened with them and at the school should never have happened and I swear it will never happen again " Damon finally spoke.
"Thank you both for being so understanding and patient"
"Of course, we always will be" Alesandro told her.
"I hope so. Henry was suppose to be a father but he hurt me so bad, it's hard to trust" Emilia whispered.
She had finally said the words. It felt odd but she was okay with that. They knew anyone, there was no point hiding it.
"Emilia can you come here" Alesandro asked in a gentle but somewhat authoritive tone.
Emilia reluctantly got up, Damon was even more reluctant as he didn't want her to go.
She sat next to him.
Alesandro turned to face her and spoke "Emilia I completely understand why you are hesitant to trust us, and at a guess, especially me but Emilia I need you to know I will never be like him, he was suppose to be a father figure to you but he wasn't, I however am your father and I will never stop proving you can trust me. You mean so much to me Emilia, more then you probably know but I love you so very much. I rather loose my hand then raise it to you"
By the end of his little speech Emilia was crying, she didn't say much she just launched into a hug, crying further as he wrapped his arms around her.

The Egg Guardian
First and foremost, I must apologize as this story is currently on an indefinite hiatus. School, my main project, and writer's block have gotten in the way. I was rather unprepared when I began posting this and kind of just did it on a whim. Thus, I shall ensure I am thoroughly prepared before posting anything else, but I plan to return to this someday to conitnue it. What better retirement plan for a scumbag than to become a demon? Whether he likes it or not, that's Berrick's only choice. Heaven thinks hell is getting a little lukewarm and Berrick is just the guy to heat things up again. Follow Berrick as he works for home and hell as one of the few Egg Guardians. Author's note: Are you looking for bad writing, terrible dialogue, short chapters, and slow releases? Then you've come to the right place! This is honestly just something I'm writing for fun and figured I'd publish while I'm working on my main project, but I always appreciate constructive criticism so I can improve. Picture obtained on google.
