Lexi stared down at her unconcious sister with a smile. She was now out of the way. She slipped into the school toilets and waited for the bell, she would be able to come out and blend in with everyone.

The bell rung and students hurriedly left, eager to get home. Suddenly there was a shout.

"Oh god is she okay"

"Obviously not"

"Isn't she a Russo"

"Fuck"

Throughout the talking between students, teachers had arrived and we're dealing with it, they had called for an ambulance, and sent someone to find Dante and Matteo.

Lexi knew she had to act like she had no clue what had happened.

So she played the part of an emotional sister and ran for her crying. "Emilia, oh god what happened? what had happened to her? Why is she unconcious?"

Meanwhile

Dante and Matteo had no clue what was going on inside the building, Matteo was walking out laughing and talking with his friends and Dante was talking to a group of girls.

A teacher came out and her nerves got the best of her but she managed to put them aside.

"You boys need to come with me" she stated.

"Now why would we do that. School is over" Dante snapped not liking that he was interrupted.

"It's your sister, Emilia. There has been an inncident, please follow me " the woman rushed out.

Dante pushed the girl off him but she only complained and tried to stop him "touch me again and I will shoot you in the fucking face" he snapped.

The brothers followed the teacher.

Dante was impatient and didn't know what to expect. He thought she had a headache or wasn't feeling well or at worst she had been bullied. But never this. He spotted her unconcious and ran to her. Blood dropped out of her side, teachers had sent the students home so she was laid around the teachers. Two of them were holding the wound, one was on the phone to the ambulance, another was monitoring her heart rate.

"Emilia" he dropped his bag in shock and raced over with Matteo quickly following.

"What happened" Matteo asked with tears in his eyes.

"We are not sure, students found her like this.the Ambulance is a few minutes away" one of the teachers said.

"Well clearly it wasn't an accident " Dante said darkly, missing out the part where he threatened to kill whoever was responsible.

"We tried getting hold of your father but he's not answering" a teacher said coming up to them.

Dantes face dropped. Damon was back and he was going to be angry. He had seen Damon angry, he had seen what Damon did to his victims, he had seen what Damon was capable of but he knew that when Damon found out, he would be more angry than he's ever been before. Being still in school meant their dad and Damon didn't like them doing mafia stuff but when Damon let them join in, well Dante saw how cruel and sadistic Damon truly was.

"He's away on business, our eldest brother is acting guardian" Matteo explained.

"I'll call him, it's best he heard it from me" Dante muttered. Matteo was in no shape to talk, he was trying to be strong and kept wiping the tears that gathered in his eyes.

He noticed Lexi was sat holding her hand, she looked upset?

He excused himself and walked a little down the corridor but he still made sure Emilia was visible, he couldn't let her out of his sight.

Damon picked up after a few seconds.

How to tell him?

"Damon there is no easy way to say this but you should meet us at the hospital"

Damon did not expect that, he was curious as to why "what happened " he asked.

"We don't know, Emilia is unconcious and has been stabbed" Dante knew it was probably best to be blunt about it, Damon wouldn't take it well either way.

Damon did not take it well at all.

"What the fuck do you mean she's been stabbed" he snapped already walking out to the garage. There was nothing but anger in his voice.

"Stabbed, she has a knife wound, bleeding, likely pushed down the stairs. The ambulance is here now, I'm going to go with her so I have to go but please hurry"

Damon had been relaxed, he had nothing to be angry about until that phone call. He was now fuming...no fuming wasn't the right word. There was no word to describe how angry he was. He would find out who did this and make them pay. That was a promise.

He suddenly remembered mason and quickly called him. "What is it you can't come tell me" Mason was in his room at the moment.

"Come down right now, we are going to the hospital" he said and hung up.

Mason was quick to go downstairs.

The paramedics got down the details and lifted her onto a stretchers.

"Can I come with you, she's my twin" Lexi cried.

"No. You will go with Matteo and I'll be going with her" Dante said.

Dante handed his keys to Matteo and left with the paramedics.

She was rushed into emergency room as they entered the hospital. Dante never left her side until they wheeled her past the doors and into surgery.

"Where is she" Damon called as he entered the waiting room, he had been driving way over the speed limit and had managed to get here quick.

"Surgery, they need to close the wound"

"Fuck. I want to know exactly what happened. I want the bastard found" Damon was logical, there was nothing he could do for his sister right now but he could certainly catch the person responsible for it.

"The corridor she was found in, there was no cameras in that section"

"Do you think some stupid camera is going to stop me finding out who did this. No I will find out and when I do that person will pay"

Just as he said this, Matteo, Mason and Lexi came in. Lexi gulped but she had covered her tracks.

She had stabbed her sister but taken the knife out not wanting her finger prints to be found. They wouldn't be able to look at footprints as she was at the scene comforting her sister, there was no CCTV, whilst in the bathroom she had washed the knife and any fingerprints on the knife were cleaned off. She couldn't let the knife be found so she had it in her bag but she would dispose of it in the river or something later tonight.

"How is she" Matteo asked.

"She's in surgery" Dante replied. Damon was too out of it to even acknowledge his brothers.

"Dad knows" Mason mumbled.

"How" Dante asked thinking the teachers couldn't reach him.

"Whilst waiting for mason and Lexi in the lobby I managed to get hold of him, he's almost as pissed as Damon but he's flying back as soon as he can" Mason explained.

"Good, I've never seen Damon this angry" Dante observed.

"Can you blame him? He has always been overly protective of her, even when she was a baby, he insisted to always be there. Didn't trust us holding her alone, granted I was only 5 but still he was super protective. We are all pissed and I can assure you Damon is not the only one who will see to it that whoever did this will most likely be dead soon" Mason said the last bit so darkly it suprised Dante.

Mason was the calm one of the family but make no mistake, he could be ruthless if someone hurt his family.

"Is she okay" Mason asked changing the topic and looking at Lexi. He had no idea on anything she had done.

She was fooling them so far, with her tears.

Damon heard this and walked back to his family. He had a sinister grin on his face. Lexi was sat in one of the chairs, crying hard.

Damon knelt down so he was level with her "boys leave" he said.

"Why does she get to stay, what if something happens" Matteo said not wanting to leave in case the doctor came back out.

"You will all leave because I want a private conversation with Lexi, it is her twin after all"

Once the boys left, Damon's expression grew darker.

"Now Lexi why so sad, didn't you dislike your sister"

"Of course I do but she's still my sister I would never want her injured like this, what if she dies? I can't bare to live without her, she's my twin, my other half"

And Damon believed her. He didn't want to but at the end of the day he didn't know what Lexi was truly capable and she seemed genuine, after all she might dislike her but attempting to kill her seemed too far. Despite this he still gave her a warning.

"I hope you're telling me the truth because if I find out you lied I will skin you alive, I don't care if we are family, I will end your pathetic life"

And just for added effect he patted her arm, to anyone it would look like he was comforting her and telling her it would be okay but Damon was really patting the place were he had cut her slightly at the beggining of the week.

A reminder not to mess with him.

He stood back up and smiled like nothing had happened, before he could go tell his brothers it was okay to come back. A doctor came out.

"Are you here for Emilia Russo"

"Yes" Damon replied quickly. His full attention on the doctor.

"We need to speak to her guardian"

"Ok out father is away but I am her eldest brother and acting guardian" Damon told her.

"Ok well I'm afraid I have some bad news, there is no easy way to say this..."
