"What's your plan"
"Well you have just pulled me away to talk, let's have an argument"
"And what exactly are we argueing about and how will that help" Damon said as he brought out two more glasses and began pouring alcohol into them, he only filled them halfway.
"Well if we let her think you are blaming me for it all, we can show her what you are capable of"
"I rather show her personally what I'm capable of" he handed Dante the second glass.
"So would I but it would be good to leave her wondering, let her imagination run wild"
"I wonder how many bones are in a body" Damon mumbled as he took a drink.
"Surely your genius iq knows that" Dante rolled his eyes.
"You know I always get confused whether it's 206 or 207, I might need to relearn it" Damon said like it was a casual discussion.
"You know Damon Im sure it's 208" Dante replied.
"Oh, I suppose we both need to relearn it" Damon had a wicked smirk.
They both thought about it for a few minutes before getting serious again. They couldn't do that.
"So dad will be back soon, we convince him to spend time with Emilia, he will love that. Once she's out of the house the fun will begin" Damon said.
"Yeah it would be best if they are both out of the way, we don't want Em knowing and fearing us or dad stopping us" Dante added.
"Exactly" Damon replied and finished his drink.
"Now let's go out onto the hallway "
Dante nodded.
Dante left his glass but Damon brought his.
"No hard feelings" Damon muttered.
"As long as we make them suffer we're all good" Dante replied quietly.
Damon nodded. He was already pissed so it didn't take much.
Damon threw the glass at the wall, it may have seemed like he mistakingly missed out of anger but he was very careful when throwing it as he didn't want to hurt Dante. It got everyone's attention though.
"Go to your room, I'll deal with you later. How fucking dare you. You better be grateful I don't have as knife on me or I would be skinning you alive right now" Damon yelled in a dark tone.
Dante smirked "or what? What are you going to do, you don't have a knife on you"
"You have no idea what I'm capable of Dante, I suggest you leave now. I suggest you don't even look at Emilia from now on, what you have done is completely unacceptable "

Dante decided not to go further so he left to his room.
Damon stalked his way to Emilia who was watching in fear. "My office Emilia" he said darkly.
Emilia followed in fear.
Once the door was completely shut, Damon's persona changed. "I'm sorry, Dante didn't do anything either" she whispered.
"No Emilia, I am so so sorry. What you just saw was nothing serious, I'm not angry with him. We came up to talk about his attitude, we are on good terms now but he wanted to make a dramatic exit and because I haven't been fair to him I agreed and he told me we should argue. Personally I think he just wants attention and sympathy, you know what an idiot he can be at times" Damon explained hoping she would believe him.
"You can even go and ask him, he's completely fine" he added.
"So you're not going to skin him alive " she whispered.
"No! Of course not! I'm not that bad" Damon said. I'm worse
"You really do portray a serial killer sometimes " she muttered.
"Hey!"
"Hi"
Damon smiled at this "you're spending way to much time around Dante" he muttered. She was turning into him, a more tolerable one but the same attitude and mannerisms.
"I heard you spoke to dad last night" Damon said.
"I said one word, it's hardly speaking to him" she replied.
"True but it made him so happy, he's at work now but he gets back soon. How about you both go spend time with each other, get more comfortable and you might be able to say more words"
"What if he doesn't want to" Emilia asked.
"Trust me, it's probably all he wants to do. He was so happy last night"
"What about Lexi "
Just hearing her name made Damon want to kill the bitch.
"What about her" he forced out.
"Won't he prefer to spend his time with her"
That hurt him. He didn't like her thoughts.
"No. I'm pretty sure he would rather bond with you"
"Oh okay"
Like Damon said, Alesandro was eager to spend some time with Emilia, and Damon casually slipped in that the boys would only want to join so he gladly took her out.
Damon smirked. They were finally gone. It was a Sunday so Mason was most likely reading and Matteo was obviously gaming.
He quickly got out his phone. Dante was still in his room but Damon knew he was probably doing something productive or gaming.
Damon:
Dad's just left, any update on the emails

Dante:
Not yet. How are we doing this.
Damon:
How the hell should I know. This is your plan remember, I'm just going along with what you say. We are doing my plan next though.
Dante:
Ooo you have a plan, what is it?
Damon:
Doesn't matter, we just need dad and Emilia to be out though.
Dante:
Are we doing it today.
Damon:
No. Tommorow though?
Dante:
Great. I have a feeling Emmy is going to want to hang out with her friends after school.
Damon:
And I have a feeling dad will be pulled into an emergency meeting.
Dante:
Wish I'd have told you sooner, it's fun scheming with you.
Damon:
Whats the plan?
Dante:
Come yell at me. Then ill go complain to Lexi.
Damon sighed. He didn't like this plan, he didn't want to scold his brother for Lexi's mistakes but Dante insisted so he put on an emotionless expression and went upstairs.
20 minutes later.
Damon sighed as he helped his brother up off the floor. "You're stupid you know that" he muttered.
"It's not my fault, if the ball wasn't in the way then it wouldn't have happened"
"You're just a clumsy idiot" Damon smirked, it had been funny to watch his brother trip over a football and fall. He had been in the middle of shouting when Dante had tripped.
"Are we done yet" Damon asked.
"Your hand" Dante exclaimed ignoring Damon's comment.
"Huh? What are you on about "
"It's all bruised" Dante pointed out.
"Well can you blame me, I went down to the gym. We might need several new pieces of equipment"
"Perfect, we can use that"
"Youre fucked up" Damon said. He wasn't willing to play anymore so he walked out.
Dante took this as they were down so he slowly left.
He went downstairs and poured himself some water, he even forced himself to cry as he sat down.
It didn't take long for Lexi to come in.
"I'm so so sorry Lexi" Dante hated saying it but he was putting on the performance of his life.
"Oh it's okay" Lexi managed not to show her happiness.
"It's just after Damon. I realized my error. God I was stupid to go against him"
"What happened" she couldn't help ask.
"He was vicious, he was a monster, he said and did things, god I'm so stupid. I hate you still make no mistake on that but Lexi please never anger him, he's like the devil. Imagine the worst pain possible, he's so much worse than that. I thought he was going to kill me at one point. He was so angry. And you know why? All because I insulted Emilia, god imagine if I actually hurt her, he would not hesitate to kill me I bet. I don't wish to ever be someone who hurts her"
Lexi went pale "I'm sorry he did that' she said sincerely.
"Sorry for ranting to you, it's just he's terrifying, he did so many things, I can't even begin to explain how bad he is when he's angry
Lexi paled further.
Dante hoped Damon would walk in and he would have texted him but he didn't want to get caught.
It was a coincidence that Damon decided now was the right time to go the kitchen. He almost slit Lexi's throat when he saw her.
Dante smirked when he saw Lexi flinch away from Damon.
"Never upset Emilia, I said one bad thing and this is what he did" Dante warned.
Lexi nodded and ran off.
"Perfect timing, she's terrified of you, I bet she's up there wondering what you're capable off"
"Care to explain why we just did that. I get you want to scare her but was all that really necessary, I don't feel good about doing it considering you haven't done anything wrong " Damon said after shutting the kitchen door.
"Sure there was easier ways but she knows I hate her so I had to make myself vunerable, she knows we constantly argue so if I backed down it would also trigger her to worry more. She knows your scary when angry but I mentioned you were angry because of a insult. Now she is upstairs thinking of all the stuff you could do to someone who actually hurt her. We are always argueing but for me to back down and considering I warned her even though I hate her. Her mind I'd going to be filled with ideas"
"Fine whatever, go check your laptop, I want to know if your stupid plan worked.
It wasn't long before Dante got a notification for a email. He read through it, pleased with the result and sent a picture of the email for Dante to read.
Damon received the picture attachment, he read through it and smirked. He quickly replied to his brothers.
Damon:
Your stupid plan worked, by the time we have finished we will have her scared of her own shadow. Tommorow we start on mine and I tell you now it's a whole lot better than yours.

Disclaimers: Chapter Frequency: I aim for one chapter a week. Chapter Length: I try to keep chapters between 3000 and 6000 words. Binge Preference: I plan for 30 chapters per arc. If you want to binge a complete arc, then that is the number to wait for. I will also add a line to chapters indicating the beginning and end of an arc. Advanced Access: I have created a patreon page with early access to four chapters for patrons. What to Expect: Progression fantasy with a western fantasy setting and with eastern fantasy elements. A main character that is forced to explore a very narrow path of magic due to a permanent condition. A main character that is a part of a larger cast. A main character that is growing but won't become the strongest around anytime soon. A story following a single main character but with introduction or theme setting scenes without the main character. What Not to Expect: Edgy grimdark characters – I will never write a sexual violence scene or gory descriptions of torture. I hate reading it and I would hate writing it even more. Romance – romantic relationships will never be the focus of the story and only appear in the background. The main character is preoccupied with other stuff. Other forms of relationships (family, friends, companions) play a bigger role. Cover: The cover art was commisioned from redditor Linh-Nguyen87. The font is alita brush by Inovatype Typefoundry.
