《the unwanted twin》chapter 17

Lexi enjoyed the attention and she smirked to herself when she remembered how Dante was made to apologize. She had their father and Damon on her side, no doubt Matteo and probably Mason too.
She was bored and wanted to do something. She then decided she could try ask Matteo to bring her with him. She used to go to parties a few times a week but here she hadn't been and they had already been for a week.
She knocked on his door and to her suprise, Dante opened it.
"If it's Damon changing his mind tell him no take backs" Dante called.
"It's Alexia" Dante replied coldly.
"Oh Lexi. My favourite sibling well besides Emilia but hey, come in. Dante let her in"
Lexi grinned smugly as she entered.
"What can I do for you" Matteo asked.
"I'm bored Matty, can I please come with you"
Dante cringed as he watched the scene play out.
"I'm sorry Lexi but Damon wouldn't like it. The party is for my year group too" Matteo said sadly.
"Pleaseeee Matty" Lexi fluttered her eyes at him.
"Oh baby I wish I could, maybe if we sneak you out" Matteo started thinking.
Dante's eyes widened slightly hearing his little brother talk about that. "No absolutely not Matteo, she can't go with you. If Damon was to find out he wouldn't be happy" Dante wasn't letting him take her.
"But she's bored and all alone' Matteo said.
"I don't care. Do you not want to go to another party because Damon will put a stop to them, per non parlare di quanto sarà arrabbiato"
(
Matteo nodded "Sorry Lexi, Dante's right, we can do something tommorow though"
"Fine" Lexi said a little dissapointed she couldn't go.
When Matteo finally left, Dante was about to make sure he didn't take Lexi with him. He knew Damon would blame Matteo and that wouldn't be good so he kept an eye on her until Matteo was out of the gates.
"You could always go spend some time with Damon" Dante suggested, thinking the more time Damon spent with her the more he would see she was up to something.

Lexi nodded, she thought Dante was finally seeing her side."do you know where he will be"
"His office most likely" Dante said and walked away.
Lexi quickly went to Damon's office, she wasn't used to knocking so she just walked out.
"Leave and try that again" Damon said not bothering to look up from his computer.
"But why, isn't that wasting time" Lexi asked.
"You didn't knock and I find it rude entering without my permission now go back and wait to be invited in" he said.
Lexi did as she was told, she needed Damon on her side.
Damon smirked as he heard her knock "enter" he called.
He hid the smirk and put on a cold emotionless expression. "How can I help you"
"Well Matteo is at a party, Mason is out and it's kinda lonely" Lexi said, she was a little intimidated by his gaze.
"What about Emilia, you could do something with her" Damon asked.
Ew I would never do something with that brat, Lexi kept her thoughts to herself.
"She's busy with father" Lexi stated, she knew it helped when she called Alesandro her father but he never would be.
"And so I guess that leaves me" Damon said, he knew Dante and Lexi didn't get on well so he didn't suggest Dante. He would only hurt her feelings.
"Yeah but I guess you're busy" Lexi said.
Damon sighed "what would you like to do" he shut his computer off.
"Oh I didn't expect you to agree do easily, we can do whatever, maybe we could just watch TV"
Damon nodded at her request. "Ok let's go"
Meanwhile (this happens from the moment Dante walked away)
Dante walked away from Lexi not wanting to be in her presence any longer. He was about to go to his room when he heard his name being called.
He turned and saw Alesandro behind him, Emilia stood but she looked nervous.
"Yes father?" Dante replied.
"stai bene"
(
Sì Perché"
)
"Basta controllare figlio, non sei ancora te stesso. Non prestare molta attenzione a Damon, ha sbagliato a farlo. Che ne dici di venire con noi, stiamo andando a fare una passeggiata intorno al giardino"

"Non lasciare che ti catturi dicendo che"

Alesandro rolled his eyes "Io sono al comando da queste parti, quello che dico va, damon lo sa anche lui"
(
And what he said was true. Alessandro had had words with Damon for a good hour and he was still extremely pissed at him.
"Thank you , I think we should switch back to English, Em looks confused" Dante said smiling. He was greatful for how his father reacted. He expected him to agree with Damon, he usually did but this time Alesandro wasn't having it and he made that known to Damon.
"So are you coming" Alesandro asked. Emilia had been in the garden but their home was huge so the gardens were massive.
"Sure" Dante agreed, knowing if he didn't, he would only have his father in his room giving him a talk on feelings and shit like that. Dante was fine though.
He didn't regret the walk though, Alessandro explained to his two children about the garden. It may have seemed boring but for Emilia is was nice to have someone not shouting at her, to just talk to her about little stuff. Dante couldn't care less about his father's words, they were pointless but Emilia's smile made it worth hearing them.
After the wall, Emilia was exhausted, the garden was huge, they didn't even cover it all on their walk.
"How about you kids go watch TV and I'll make you both some hot chocolate" Alessandro suggested.
Emilia had never had it but it sounded nice so she nodded.
"Thank you father" Dante replied. Emilia nodded to this as well showing her thanks.
"Great. You two go ahead" he said sending them off to the living room.
Both of their smiles fell when they saw Lexi. Dante knew he should make an effort with her but there was something he didn't like about her.
Emilia saw how close she was with Damon, Damon was probably falling for her lies by now. She was slightly nervous and scared about sitting down especially with hot chocolate. Lexi wouldn't be happy.
"Hey tesoro where have you been" Damon asked when he noticed his siblings.
Lexi hated how much more gently he spoke with her.
"We went around the garden with father" Dante replied knowing Emilia couldn't.
"That's great, I hope you liked our garden tesoro. Why don't you come join us" Damon acknowledged Dante's reply but spoke to Emilia.
"There is another room we can go to if you want " Dante whispered when he saw fear in her eyes.
Damon seemed to see this too as he was in front of her in seconds.
"What's wrong" he asked her.
They were on good terms, she obviously trusted him enough to insult him so he didn't get her reaction.
Emilia simply shook her head.
"Ok you don't want to talk about it, I understand. Come here tesoro" Damon said softly and opened his arms.
Emilia stepped forward and was in his open arms. Damon smiled and hugged her.
"You are okay" Damon whispered.
Dante didn't like both of the twins when they first came. He still didn't like Lexi but he was starting to warm up to Emilia, after she covered for him he made an effort and she was alright to be around.
He couldn't help his expression turned cold when he saw how Damon hugged her, he did it with so much care and love that you would never suspect he was the Mafia boss.
Damon and Emilia had a bond that no one could get in the way of, not even Lexi.
"Oh I didn't think you two would be here as well" Alesandro said when he saw his other two kids in the living room.
Dante and Emilia had been convinced to sit down, well Emilia had and Dante just joined.
Alesandro handed Dante his hot chocolate and ruffled his hair.
"For mia bambina" Alessandro said handing Emilia the cup.
"Can I have one too" Lexi spoke up. Emilia needed to go. She didn't like how she was taking up his time.
"Sure but Damon will have to make it" he paused then turned to Emilia and Dante "I need to go out will you be okay" although it seemed mostly directed at Emilia, Alesandro was just as concerned about his son.
"Great. All of you enjoy your evening"
