Never in my wildest dreams did i ever dare to dream of Charlie asking me to go on a date with him, especially not after a more than heated make out session on his plush king sized bed.

Never did I think this blossoming affair would be in our cards of fate.

But I never thought I'd be in a position where I'd say yes.

But I did.

With a quickness too.

It was actually quite sad how little I hesitated, so much so that it made him smile his sweet smile.

So now I'm faced with the issue of choosing something to wear, Charlie wouldn't give anything away and the more I thought about what we could possibly be doing for our date, the more it dawned on me that our previous little outings are activities that anyone else would consider dates.

Dinner, beaches, late night drives.

I wonder what stops he'll pull out this time.

Charlie has always been one to make both small and grand gestures, always making them special and sincere.

He's set the bar quite high for himself, bless him.

I had never really paid attention to what I wore around Charlie before, whether it was a skimpy bikini, an old, stained and oversized t-shirt or something i stole from his closet, but now I feel as though I need to pay closer attention and probably care a bit more.

I've searched through my wardrobe and draws and by now half of its on the floor and the only thing I've managed it pick out is what underwear I'm going to wear.

I had already asked Charlie if there's anything that i should wear for the occasion and he told me to dress however I want, which isn't exactly helpful.

After a little while longer I had finally chosen possibly the smallest black dress that I own, the bra cup portion is black lace and the rest is a soft fabric.

I don't even remember when I got the dress.

I do my hair in a spiky bun up do, with simple makeup, i really hope this is appropriate enough for whatever Charlie has planned.

It wasn't long until Charlie picked me up, not spilling a single detail of what he has in store for myself.

"Are you sure you can't tell me?" I ask for what's probably the fourth time in ten minutes.

"Positive" he smiles his infamous smile before resting his hand on the top of my thigh, digging his fingers in slightly to give it a squeeze.

Shortly after we arrived at one of the tallest buildings in the city, I'd never been to it before and that's probably because eighty percent of the building's space is just office space so right now I was feeling a little confused as to why Charlie bought us here.

He must've noticed the look on my face as he said "just trust me" as he held out his hand for me to take.

I entwined our fingers together and followed his lead through the grand doors of the building, he gave a small nod to one of the doormen, which i also gave a small smile to before we got in the elevator.

Charlie pushed the button for the top floor, floor fifty seven and the doors closed.

"Should i be worried?" I asked with a small laugh.

"Now when would I ever put you in danger darling?" He replied with a smirk.

He wouldn't.

It wasn't long until the doors of the elevator opened and Charlie was pulling me along a corridor of floor to ceilings windows before we reached a fire escape door which led to a dark staircase.

"This seems illegal" i say.

"It might be" he shrugs his shoulders before heading up the stair case.

If you hang out with Charlie enough you learn quickly that theres always a possibility of whatever you're doing being illegal.

Or at least highly frowned upon.

And i loved it.

I trailed closely behind him, when we came to a door, Charlie paused before saying "ladies first" and pushed it open for me.

I stepped out cautiously onto the roof top, stunned by what i was seeing.

In the corner of the roof top there was a small table and chairs set up, a singular red rose on the table, which itself was surrounded by candles on the floor. On the table was two silver domes which i imagined covered our food.

I was speechless for god knows how long, before managing to say "holy shit" in a whisper, practically running over to the table.

I heard Charlie chuckle from behind me and i turned to look at him.

He nervously brushed a hand through his dark hair before asking "is it enough?"

"Charlie you literally could've taken me to McDonalds and it would've been more than enough" i started, "this, this is everything and more" i say, gesturing to the table with a sincere smile on my face.

He smiles once more, a look of relief as he lets out a breath that he didn't know he was holding.

If i didn't know any better, I'd say he's nervous, more than I am.

The Charlie King nervous on a date? Who would've thought.

Charlie pulled my chair out for me, which i took a seat on before he tucked it back in again.

"So, what's for dinner Mr King?" I ask, propping my chin up on my hand.

"So, I got the kitchen staff to make you your favourites" he starts.

He lifts up the silver domes to reveal prawn linguine, garlic bread, a side of garlic mushrooms and another side of sautéed greens.

I look at it in awe, i don't even think my own mom knows what my favourites are.

"Did i tell you how gorgeous you look right now?" He asks, pouring us both a drink of the champagne that he he had here.

I could feel my cheeks tinge pink, but hopefully I was wearing enough makeup so he wouldn't notice.

"I don't think so" I retorted

"Well, i'll tell you again just to make up for it, you look amazing"

"You look quite handsome yourself King" I smile

It was true, Charlie was wearing all black, black jeans, a crewneck and a pair of all black vans as well as his usual gold chain.

Dinner went well, a part of me thought it would be awkward since Charlie and I had always been just friends but it actually felt quite natural being romantic with him.

I had just finished eating my pasta when Charlie said "here, you have something just there" and he lent in and wiped off something off my lip with his finger before putting it into his own mouth.

We were only inches away from one another now and I decided to be bold, making the first move for once.

Alcohol really is liquid courage.

Our lips connected and Charlie instantly cupped the side of my face to pull me in deeper, i reciprocated his action by biting down on his lip, hard enough to get a light moan from him but gentle enough to not draw any blood.

We continued like this for a few moments more before pulling away.

"I'll never get tired of that" he says with a dazed smile and slightly swollen bottom lip from where I had bit it.

Of course it wouldn't be a night out with the two of us without a lil' trip to the tracks.

Charlie didn't want to go at first, something about 'ruining the mood' but apparently saying please only twice was pretty convincing for him.

Not only that but he and Harvey finally got his car fixed up, they finished yesterday and it looked better than ever.

We're almost positive that it's quicker than prior to the incident, so I've basically bullied Charlie into coming here so we could test that theory out.

Once we had pulled up at the tracks, Connor had given me his sweatshirt to wear but despite being mid November, it was far too warm to wear it, so i just held it in my arms instead.

Charlie and I were walking towards Harvey when I said "i'll meet you with Harvey, i need to pee quickly"

"I'll come with you" Charlie replied in an instance, obviously not the biggest fan of me being alone here.

"Don't be silly, i'll only be a minute" i look up into his stupidly blue eyes, they looked like the most beautiful shade of cerulean i had ever seen.

Damn.

"Are you sure" he said, looking torn, his eyes glancing between myself and the toilets, which for the record were quite far away from us, in a far back corner where the ground was more sludge and mud than grass.

"Positive" i pull my hand out of his clasp and give him a small smile which he returns with his own, but I can tell he's still concerned.

I turn on my heel and make my way through the crowd of people, a bonus to being short, you can weave your way through people, very easily.

Although I couldn't really see the toilets right now due to everyone around me, I knew i was near because the ground was turning slippy.

Honestly more people should be concerned that the reason why the ground around the toilets is slippy is because it's wet with other peoples piss who can't hold it in for a few more minutes.

And I thought the people here were somewhat civilised.

Whilst I knew the tracks weren't the safest places, and that theres always some drama around here, it never really occurred to me that I would ever be the one in danger.

Maybe that was because Charlie stuck with me like glue.

Once I was done in the toilets, i stepped back out of the cement block into the quickly disappearing daylight only to be shoved up against the wall of the toilets block.

My head was thrown backwards against the cold wall so hard that it made my vision blur and instantly made me feel nauseous.

"You have no idea how long I've waited to do this"

AN:

This chapter was supposed to be longer but I thought this would be a good cliff hanger.

I honestly love using authors notes as a way to rant about my silly little life and update the small percentage of those who read these.

So this time I've made some guy fall in love with me? Don't even ask how and secondly I've almost finished all my Christmas shopping.
