《A Tale of an Amalgam》Chapter 19: Escapade Leading to a Fortune Teller

I wore cream-colored dress and matching accessories commonly worn by wealthy commoners especially the daughters of merchants given by Makkun and we went out the palace with no escorts whatsoever.
"Where do you want to go first?" I shrugged my shoulders.
"Don't... know..." I replied in a whisper.
"Fine, I'll choose for you." He dragged me to a stall that sells okonomiyaki and squid balls. "Obaasan, I'll buy four squid balls garnished with sweet sauce."
The female vendor laughed teasingly.
"Fufu~ it's not everyday I'll find a young couple like you~" My face heated up at her words.
"Does it seem that way? Thank goodness." I glared at Makkun.
"Yep, you two look like a painting. See those around you?" We looked around and nodded. "They've been staring at you for quite a while now. Your otherworldy appearances paired with your warm pinkish atmosphere caught their attention. Even I'm jealous at how warmly he's looking at you." She added as she pointed at me.
What the heck?! We're not a couple!! Liking him is like being a shotacon by the way!! Mou, this is all Makkun's fault!!!
"Please no more obaasan, or she'll explode in embarrassment. I don't want anyone to see her pitiful but cute state."
"Fufufu~~"
This is driving me insane!!! If I could just flip something, I would've done it earlier! Why does he like playing with me?! Does he know that romantic relationships aren't meant for kids and thus, must not be taken lightly.
"You should see her blush, it was very entertaining."
"Ohohohoho..."
"Makkun. Hate." His amused expression diminished as soon as I dropped a bomb. "I'm going home now..." I pouted and was about to walk away when he grabbed my thin wrist and held it tightly. "Eh??"
"Sese-chan, no!" He stared at me with his eyes full of unwavering determination. "You willl not, under any circumstances, leave me just like that. You've captured my heart, so you have to take responsibility." I flinched at his words.

What does he mean by that? And what's with his tone full of authority, possessiveness and obsession?
Captured his heart, when? He's just a kid.
"Oh?" The vendor commented.
"What does that..?"
"Sese-chan, didn't you promise me that you'll be mine forever?"
"Eh..?"
"Don't tell me you forgot?" He coldly asked that I laughed ineptly.
"Ha... ha... haha..." I awkwardly laughed. "Of course not, hahaha..." His cold aura disappeared in a blink of an eye and was replaced by a warm one. "Eh?"
What just happened? The innocent Makkun had a cold aura? Was I mistaken? I wasn't, was I? Let's just brush it off for now.
I noticed a few drops of sweat forming on the vendor's temple. She was breathing heavily along with the rest of the crowd. I blinked and the previous heavy atmosphere turned back to how it was, being lively.
Suspicious, very suspicious...
"Here." She gave a plate of her product to Makkun; we said our thanks and goodbyes and left.
A sparkly sign atop a violet tent that says 'Thanos' Fortune Telling' greeted us and as curious as I was, dragged Makkun inside the fishy-looking establishment.
"Welcome... kids?"
"Hello." Makkun replied to the man who wore female clothes with some gems sewn in it. Heavy makeup were evident on his face that he looked like a clown back on Earth.
"Why are young'uns like you in this kind of place?" 'He' asked in suspicion.
"To know if a future with her is impossible." Makkun retorted and grabbed my waist. "It's already in my hand but I'm afraid that if I look away for just a second, it would find its way to another."
*bathump bathump
What is he saying? Is he talking about me? No way... he's just a kid, maybe he's talking about a toy he's really fond of... yes, he even referred his subject as 'it'.
"Right Sese-chan?"
*bathump bathump bathump

"Eh?"
"You're mine, like we agreed?"
"Hn." I reluctantly agreed so we took our seat opposite the she-looking man.
*ahem
He cleared his throat and started stroking the crystal ball in front of us. It glowed into a bright red color; the man closed his eyes and furrowed his eyebrows.
"Ah yes... I see... mhmm..."
"What is it?"
"Little boy, it seems that you won't be able to go to the next level of your relationship if the thorn won't be removed as soon as possible. There are also other trivialities that keep you in the same position. I advise you to try your hardest as to destroy all your obstacles.
You in the other hand," He pointed at me. "You must overcome a great obstacle by yourself. There's a large lump of negativity in your heart that causes you to lose faith in something so easily. My only advice is, be optimistic in life."
What does he mean by 'a great obstacle' and 'a large lump of negativity'? Why must I be optimistic if my only parents disapeared right after I isekai'd?
Blood suddenly splurted to our face and his head dropped to the now-bloodied table. My whole body trembled at the sight of the fresh corpse that I inched closer to Makkun.
"Who did that?!!" Makkun angrily inquired.
"Sorry, I didn't mean to kill that fraud." A nonchalant but deep voice of a man resonated inside the tent that I shuddered. "Wait, lemme show myself first."
A platinum blond-haired, amber-eyed man in his early 20s with a well-sculpted face, pointed nose and natural pink lips showed himself in front of us. I internally gasped when I saw how he closely resembled me.
If his hair was a little bluish and his eyes were more in the golden side, I would've mistaken him for my relative!
If not for seeing Makkun every second, I would've been affected by his thick pheromones spread inside the place.
"Who..?"
"Hello Seraphine-chan, I'm Arcturus.
Arcturus? I think I heard that somewhere before. A few months ago, in one of Centifolia-sama's chatters about her fellow gods in Ambrosia, she mentioned someone with the same name.
"That's right, Centifolia's bias, I am the god of war."
"And what is a famous god like yourself doing in a lowly place like this? Surely you're not conspiring with suspicious groups to create war for your personal entertainment, right?" Makkun said as he squinted his eyes.
"Haha, you saw right through me! As expected of 'his' reincarnation..."
"What are you saying?"
"I'm saying we were friends a long time ago!"
"Hm, I don't think so! Come on Sese-chan, we need to leave now. Arguing with a persistent god like him will lead us to nowhere." Before he could completely drag me away, I heard Arcturus-sama say some strange words.
"It's nice seeing you again Pyrrho..." He said in anguish.
Should I heed his words? Who's Pyrrho? He also said he was friends with Makkun in the past, was that true? If it is, who was he in his past life?
"Don't listen to him Sese-chan, he was just talking gibberish earlier so pay it no heed. Just think about what you wanna do now that we got out of your suffocating palace."
[Sorry Acchan, even I can't tell the whole truth about it. Arcturus is one of the oldest of the gods, he is only a few hundred years older than me.
About the name Pyrrho, I can't tell you who that person is... yet. Time is the only thing you lack right now so be patient. Aristophane-niisama told me not to meddle with you lesser beings' fate.]
What are you saying? Why don't you tell me right now?
[Acchan, do you know about the saying "Ignorance is a bliss"? It applies to this situation. If you know more than you need to, your mind can't take and it'll explode.]
I see... I understand...
