《A Tale of an Amalgam》Chapter 14: An Event Never Mentioned in the Game

Hestia's POV
The draconic princess? His fiancée is her, which was never mentioned in the game?! Mou, how can that be? I never did anything different from the original Hestia except loving my family genuinely, but that's just a minor thing!
Is it possible... no, it can't be... is she isekai'd like me? That's the most possible explanation. But how could they meet?
It was also known in the game that the Crown Prince was abused by his father, the Emperor, so his uncle, the Emperor's twin brother and the Grand Duke, took him in. After a few years, the Prince's custody was transferred to a Countess with secret origins.
When he turned 14, he enrolled in Centifolia Academy which is the main stage of 'Hey Milord, Lemme Capture Your Heart!!'. There, he became the Student Council President while I, his fiancée, flaunted my power to lower noble children and even abused it.
But why is he saying that he's gonna be engaged with a mob character instead of me, the villainess like in the game, or the heroine?!
"Ahem Your Imperial Highness, I beg your pardon?" I tried regaining my composure.
"I repeat, I'm gonna be engaged with the only princess of Daemonorops. Is there something you need to clarify about my statement?" I jolted from my seat.
H-How could this be?! Why did she dare to change the game's plot before it even started?! Isn't she afraid of the so-called plot armor?! What the hell did she do to catch this two-faced prince's attention?!
Let's calm down for now or he'll think I'm strange...
"May I know her name and appearance, Maxentius-ouji? I'm just curious because you immediately broke our engagement." He blinked twice then opened his mouth.
"Her name's Seraphine, but I call her 'Sese-chan'. She has silver hair and golden eyes, a fairy don't you think so?" He replied with a proud expression that dazed me.

Wha, it seems this prince has fallen already. But that name, Seraphine was it? I think I heard that somewhere before...
Ah, I remember!! It's the heroine of the otome game's sequel!!
What was her name again?! Ah, right!!! It's Seraphine Arcana Beatrice Oleifaera lei Dracaena!! She was somehow related to the original Heroine based on 'NyankoBig816', the game developer's spoilers. It was also seen in the CG scene posted in the net about how she and the draconic Prime Minister's sole heir meet.
There were three capture targets and two hidden capture targets based on what NyankoBig816 said in an interview. Well, it was quite a popular game among young girls so they'd look forward to it naturally.
I don't even know what came to the developer's mind that he, or even she, decided to name the Heroine that ridiculously. Seriously, how can her name be that long?! Is he (or she) still in his (her) right mind?!
"May you give me the honor of meeting her, Your Highness? I suddenly have urge to be acquainted with such a fascinating person given that the future son of the Empire is interested in her."
"Why, of course Hestia-ojou. But I'm not sure if she'd like it. After all, I could barely make her talk, much less let her meet a complete stranger."
*chuckle
"Haha, I didn't know you were that attached to that girl, Your Highness. If your vassals could hear you know, they'd think she's the luckiest girl in Walpurgis."
"Yes, she's really cute."
What's with this fondness?! How could the Heroine from the game's sequel catch the attention of the main capture target of the prequel?! What would this result to, I wonder?
But... how did they meet?
"Pay it no heed if you don't want to reply Maxentius-sama, but where did you get acquainted with the said princess?"

"At Countess Hydrange's manor, of course."
"What?!!"
This wasn't mentioned in the game either!!! The Crown Prince spent five years there to hide from the ruthless Emperor who wanted to kill him, his meeting with her was not included in his childhood.
"Is there something wrong?" I flailed my arms around in panic.
"None at all, Maxentius-sama..!" I stammered and sat down once again. "I wish you happiness Your Highness as I strive to find mine."
The Crown Prince is a very obsessive person, or what they call yandere, so I'll only light a candle for the Heroine for catching his attention.
His obsession... it's more likely to grow in the future. Just thinking about it gives me the creeps. In the game, it was quite romantic and cute but witnessing it in real life scares me for some reason. I guess I have to find other potential marriage candidates.
Good luck Seraphine, I hope you won't find his 'love' for you suffocating, or the people of Walpurgis will suffer. Because if you end up with someone else, the world will--
"Hestia-ojou, are you still there?"
"Ah, yes..!"
"If I get the chance, I'll surely introduce you to her. After all, she needs a friend and a guardian with a strong backing as to have an invisible shield against some annoying bugs!" He grimaced.
Oh shit, he's already possessive of her!! I'll light a candle for you~
"You can count on me." I placed my gloved hand on my chest. "I, Hestia Ceres Mantissa, will fully devote myself on fending off annoying males from her!" I declared that he wore a satisfied grin.
Somehow, I kinda agree of the original Hestia's affection towards the Crown Prince. He's really handsome when he smiles just like earlier!
But I shouldn't get swayed, it'll lead directly to my downfall if I fell and harrass his true beloved.
"Very reassuring Hestia-ojou, I'll make sure to find a fitting fiancé for you. What do you think about the son of the draconic Prime Minister?" I choked on my own saliva.
*pfft
"Pardon?"
"I'll ask Duke Mantissa to engage you with Caedmon Julius Cretaceae."
*boom
I heard an explosion inside my brain.
What the--?! Isn't that the main male lead of the sequel?! Why am I getting more and more tangled up with destruction flags?! Can't I live my life in peace?! Just why, Kami-sama?!
[... hush, Hestia-chan.]
Who are you, obaasan?
[It won't matter for now, but please don't blame us. You were brought here for a certain reason, and that is to ensure the Amalgam's safety. Understood?]
