Others nodded in agreement silently. That was true. It was the old man’s birthday today, not this kid’s.

Then, she removed the silk cloth that covered the gift and revealed the Go box underneath.

Everyone at the scene gasped.

The Go box was completely golden – it was obvious that it was made out of pure gold. Outside, it was decorated with different jewels, looking absolutely blinding!

The box itself was already precious!

Qin Yongmei sensed everyone’s reaction and she proudly lifted the corner of her lips.

She opened up the box, showing everyone the content inside.

The Go stone bowls were open, showing the round and smooth stones inside.

“These stones are yunzi infused with high quality ores. These have a jadeite content over 90%. Not only are these comfortable to use, they can also nourish the body. Though these are a little expensive, Niannian said that her grandpa deserved the best!”

A lot of normal people also have yunzi. However, theirs are normally fashioned with amber, or agate.

There were people who had jade infused yunzi. But those normally only have 0.1% of jadeite.

Yet the set of stones before them had a jadeite content as high as 90%!

Meng Chunhua checked out this luxurious looking set of Go pieces and couldn’t help but exclaim, “Niannian sure knows how to pick out gifts! Even I feel happy looking at this!”

Qiao Zhizhuo nodded as well, “You really put in effort for this.”

Qin Yongmei was dancing on the inside. She put the lid back onto the box and then gave He Wanqing a look.

“What did my sister-in-law and Qingqing prepare for father? Take it out and show everyone.”

He Wanqing acted calm but her hands were covered with sweat.

When Qin Yongmei announced that her gift was a Go set, He Wanqing’s heart clattered.

After Qin Yongmei had showed everyone, He Wanqing wanted to crawl into the ground.

She regretted she hadn’t sent Chen Ming to go and buy a new gift.

Even if the gift came late, it would be better than that broken set.
