Jun Yexuan on the other hand, had his guess verified. The atmosphere turned cold immediately.

“Oh? Qingqing doesn’t agree that she’s your girlfriend. How am I stealing anyone?” Jiang Huixun looked at Jun Yexuan, intrigued.

Jun Yexuan rested his arm on top of the couch as if he had Qiao Qing in his arms.

He then announced loudly, “She’ll be my girlfriend sooner or later! She’s only allowed to be my girlfriend!”

Qiao Qing’s lips pressed into a line.

She got up, “It’s almost time for class. Ms. Jiang, I’m going back.”

Jiang Huixun nodded with a grin. “Alright.”

After Qiao Qing left, Jun Yexuan had no reason to stay and got up to leave as well.

After those two departed, Jiang Huixun exclaimed, “I’ve never seen her behave like that. It looks like he really is bad luck.”

Then, she glanced over to Chu Qinghan and found him to be staring at the door, deep in thought. She couldn’t help but ask, “What’s wrong?”

Chu Qinghan retracted his gaze and said thoughtfully, “Nothing. I just feel like that man looks similar to someone I’ve met before, but their auras are differently.”

Jiang Huixun made herself a cup of tea and asked, “Why do you say that?”

“Mom, don’t you remember me telling you about the Bloody Night in the Capital City?”

Jiang Huixun nodded, “The time the mafia was destroyed?”

“Yes.” Chu Qinghan continued, “I was lucky and caught sight of the man behind the scene. He was like a poppy – beautiful, but also fatally dangerous, cold, and powerful. As he talked and joked, a pile of corpses would be formed and a river of blood would appear.”

As he spoke, Chu Qinghan recalled that bloody night and remembered that demonic laughter at midnight. At once, he trembled.

After some time, he finally chuckled, “That person shouldn’t be him. With his status and identity, there is no way he would be a tutor.”

Jiang Huixun shook her head, “You’re still too young.”

“I’m 29 already, mom.” Chu Qinghang argued helplessly, “I’m one generation older than that girl. How am I still considered young?”

“Then that means you have had no growth in your way of thinking. Your logic does not match your age.” Jiang Huixun placed the teacup on the table.

She changed the subject, “Then, what do you think of that girl?”

Chu Qinghan deliberated and said, “Other than a pretty face, I haven’t noticed much. I have heard some rumors about her though.”

Jiang Huixun, “Rotten!”

Chu Qinghan was stifled.

Jiang Huixun continued, “Then, how do you feel about her father, Qiao Zibo?”

Chu Qinghan replied, “Noble and handsome like a phoenix; gloriously talented.”

Jiang Huixun then said, “Then, you must not be aware that this woman has items and connections that are far more terrifying than her father’s. Even I have only witnessed the tip of the iceberg.”

Chu Qinghan was surprised, “Really?”

Jiang Huixun sighed, “You shouldn’t judge a book by its cover!”

That night.

Qiao Qing returned home, ate dinner, and came to her study room as per usual.

In order to fulfill his position as a “tutor”, Jun Yexuan followed.

On the mahogany desk, one person had a medical book in front of her, the other had a laptop.
