《Another World Trip: Journey with My Cat and an Otaku Loli Goddess》Chapter 251 - Broken Laws

Still, he was not resigned to death. He was desperately trying to find a way out of his current predicament, but nothing came to mind.
Suddenly, a gentle voice echoed in his mind, ‘Use the deathdrink ghost chrysanthemum.’
****
Long Di looked all over but couldn’t find who spoke to him.
“The deathdrink ghost chrysanthemum?” he asked himself in confusion.
Suddenly, enlightenment dawned, “Hold on. Is that the flower I got from that broken realm?”
Long Di manipulated his physique to expel the flower. As soon as it appeared, an aura of death pervaded the surroundings.
The experts who experienced what happened earlier, and those who saw what happened to their acquaintances didn’t dare to look closely at this flower. As far as they were concerned, it was an omen of death.
“So that’s its name, huh? Deathdrink ghost chrysanthemum. Sounds ominous,” he whispered.
“Hmph! You think a mere spiritual herb will be able to help you!? That is wishful thinking!” Yaomu Qiang sneered from a distance.
In truth, a feeling of unease sprouted in Yaomu Qiang’s stomach. He and his group saw how terrifying that flower was and wondered just what Long Di planned to do with it.
Long Di wasn’t sure what to do with this deathdrink ghost chrysanthemum, but at the moment, he didn’t have any other method at hand to help him, so he could only rely on this.
But… how could he rely on it? That voice didn’t exactly give him steps 1-7 when it mysteriously hinted at a way it could save his life.
What was up with that, anyway? If you wanna be mysterious, fine, be mysterious. But, was it too much to ask to simply be specific or exact in your cryptic utterances?
What was a man to do?
Wing it?
To heck with it. He might as well wing it!
Whoosh!
Long Di’s spiritual force unfurled once more from him in waves to wrap around the deathdrink ghost chrysanthemum and the earth around him.
He didn’t excavate the entire plot of land that he gouged out from the broken realm. This time he took a small enough amount that just managed to cover the root of the deathdrink ghost chrysanthemum.
‘Up!’
Shu!
With a thought, his spiritual force sent the deathdrink ghost chrysanthemum shooting upwards.
As it ascended higher and higher, Long Di’s heart nearly stopped when a harrowing sight took place.

The ascension of the deathdrink ghost chrysanthemum was nearly paused before it stopped in its entirety.
D-D-Dum!
The Suppression character’s pressure was many times magnified by this point and as a result, it was able to stop the deathdrink ghost chrysanthemum from approaching it any further!
When everyone else saw this, they felt disappointed. They knew that the chances were slim but there was a feeling of them wanting Long Di to succeed. They wanted this underdog to not only stand up to this power that could shake the world but defeat it!
However, it seemed fated that such a miracle would not occur today.
Long Di, on the other hand, simply inhaled and exhaled as he adjusted his mental state. ‘Just a little bit more.’
Whoosh!
Another wave of spiritual force billowed out as it bolstered the already raging spiritual force that kept the deathdrink ghost chrysanthemum aloft!
“It rose!” an expert shouted excitedly when he saw the deathdrink ghost chrysanthemum rise a little higher.
“I thought it couldn’t go any higher due to the difference in realm. Is it stronger than the core formation realm?” a disciple from a regular sect was confused by what he saw.
A more sharp-sighted expert shook his head before explaining, “His spiritual force is knocking on the door of the core flame evocation realm sure, but it is still at the peak of the core formation realm at most.”
“To think his spiritual force is this strong! Lord Jixie, is there still a way to get our hands on the spiritual vein root?”
One of the puppeteers of the Divine Puppet Sect came up to Jixie Wudongyuzhong.
Jixie Wudongyuzhong’s expression was ugly when he saw how truly powerful Long Di was.
After a moment of hesitation, he responded, “It should still be fine. If he somehow survives this attack, there’s no way he can have enough strength to resist. We can thank him for weakening the Iron Body Forge Sect’s side. When that time comes, I’ll hold back Er Jinshu while you all surround him and take the spiritual vein root. It’s the only way for me to get my hands on that divine ore from the sect master to build an even stronger puppet that will allow me to dominate the entire younger generation of the ten great sects!”
“Yes, Lord Jixie!” The young puppeteer cupped his fist and stepped back to join the ranks of the other Divine Puppet Sect disciples.

“Ugh…” strain appeared on Long Di’s face as his spiritual force was at the absolute limit of the core formation realm!
The strain came from keeping at such low levels.
Any more and he would be releasing power equivalent to that of a core flame evocation realm expert.
However, this was the limit it seemed. The deathdrink ghost chrysanthemum refused to budge anymore.
“It seems I had too much hope in him,” the Noble Attendant sighed in spite of herself.
“A little bit more…” sweat beaded down Long Di’s inexpressive face as he forced a little more spiritual force into his efforts.
The flower shuddered ever so slightly, providing a much-needed boon to Long Di’s morale.
“That’s it… a little more… a liiiiittle more… a teensy weensy eensy bit mo-”
Shing!
‘Crap!’
Whoosh!
A tsunamic surge of spiritual force erupted from Long Di, sending rippling energy all over!
The spiritual force came out full force with its peak nine-star-core energy. Its silvery shimmering brilliance was on full display to everyone present.
“What kind of spiritual force is that!?” The Noble Attendant was no longer able to keep herself calm in the face of this.
Spiritual force was supposed to be invisible, just like mental energy. This was something that everyone knew. So what was this!?
It felt like spiritual force, yet not like spiritual force. It was almost alien in nature with a near divine-like quality to it.
D-Du-Dum!
“Oh no! The laws of the realm are going to-”
Whoosh!
The Noble Attendant almost choked on her next words as she realised that Long Di was still fine despite him obviously exercising a level of power far beyond what the realm allowed.
Nothing made sense here!
“How is this possible?” She looked all over for answers until she looked skyward and a theory came to mind.
‘So that’s it…’ she thought to herself. She then looked back at Long Di who was faring far better now. ‘This boy is either the luckiest person I have ever met. Or fate is going to use him for something massive. I can see why they want to kill him.’
“N-Noble Attendant!” A shout roused her from her rumination. She looked over to see Jixie Wudongyuzhong on his puppet with his fist cupped, looking at her.
Seeing that she noticed his presence, he asked her, “Can you explain to us what’s happening?”
He truly had no idea what this development entailed. He had a few guesses, but the established rules subverted these thoughts. So he had to thicken his face and ask the Noble Attendant for enlightenment.
As soon as he asked this, not to mention the regular experts, even the other Sacred Celestics opened their ears since even they were lost at the moment.
Realising that everyone was looking towards her for answers, she directed her gaze on the massive cracks in the void left by the Imperial Divine Edict’s descent. “This is only my guess, but… when the Edict appeared, it was approved and bolstered by the laws of the heavens. This, in turn, broke down the laws of the Spiritual Bingqi realm, allowing for the appearance of powers that would normally not be allowed here.”
Er Jinshu’s blood ran cold when he heard this, “T-Then, do you mean to say that t-this boy…”
The Noble Attendant nodded as if she knew what he was about to ask. “This boy’s spiritual force is above the martial adept level. That said, it wouldn’t be outside of the realm of possibility for his true cultivation to be at the core flame evocation realm!”
Tsssss!
Before anyone else could truly digest what the Noble Attendant just said, a burning sound assaulted their senses down to the spiritual level!
Closing off their six senses wasn’t enough to block it out.
They looked over to see the deathdrink ghost chrysanthemum touching the Imperial Divine Edict and releasing what could only be described as a miasma of thick stygian energy!
Parts of the Imperial Divine Edict were being corroded at an insane rate.
The potent death energy within the deathdrink ghost chrysanthemum was actually able to break down the Edict’s manifestation!
“The deathdrink ghost chrysanthemum in his hands must have absorbed an ungodly amount of death energy for it to be able to affect the Imperial Divine Edict,” she said at last.
Long Di, on the other hand, wasn’t paying to what anyone else was saying.
He didn’t know why, but he realised that he now had full access to his strength. So he paused the circulation of the Foundation Forge Body Tempering Art and switched over to his spiritual cultivation technique!
Crack!
The seal on his spiritual base broke under his will, releasing his full power.
Boom!

This is my first story to ever be posted. As I am an amateur writer, there shall be mistakes. More so with the fact that English is not my first language. This story is a re-write, and its original version was a request by a dear friend of mine. Though hopefully this version would be far better.. As the original version was a very cringe worthy thing. Many thanks to certain friends that have convinced me to post this. I shall do my best to at least update frequently, without sacrificing the.. quality of chapters. Tags will be added as the story goes on. || Disclaimer: Much of the chapters before Chapter Twelve are of poorer quality in terms of Grammar. So do forgive me for them, by Chapter Twelve and beyond however, the quality of the chapters should have had improved. I'm hopefully gonna fix most of the earlier chapters when I hit Chapter Twenty or Thirty.
