Volume 1 Chapter 20 The Prospector’s battle
The prospector was running.
The action of running is such a basic thing for humans or beasts to do. However, today he would be running for his life.
The whole thing was a trap, he had been schemed against by the ones known as the Twin Star Wings of Hovium.
Needless to say that he wasn’t in a good position, his defenses had been breached two times since the start of the battle.
As a Bala-level Pathseeker himself, Alexander clearly understood the bad position he was in, the two of them were in the same realm as him.
While he was stronger than them individually when they teamed up his loss was almost certain,as the saying goes two fists cannot defeat four palms.
While hiding behind a bear-sized rock, the prospector started reviewing his possibilities. At the Bala level, most Pathseekers would have researched or created three to four unique spells and could have bought or two spells from large organizations.
The problem was, Alexander Crisk had always been a loner seen by other Pathseekers as an evil one, he had often been labeled as a demonic pathseeker.
He hadn’t been able to find a righteous organization that had been willing to sell him any spells.
From the few principles he had been able to understand, he had been able to create three spells. But among those spells only one was high-tier.
His other two spells were considered middle-tier, maybe upper middle-tier under the right circumstances.
The reason he had attracted the rage of the Twin Star Wing was because he had been caught during one of his attempts at strengthening his trump card.
Alexander then started looking at the current state of his body; he had been hit by a magical projectile in the back and had received an axe hit on his forearm, fortunately his defensive spell had lessened the damage taken.
His sweet time of peace did not last long, soon after looking at his injuries, he heard Cloven Keith of the Twin Star calling him out.

Cloven said: “We know you are behind that boulder, you have almost no friends and you have no way to call the few you have , you are injured and famished”.
His brother Roy took over: “We don’t want to kill you Alexander but you stole something precious from us.”
Seeing the Prospector's lack of response, he continued: “Listen, I believe we can find a middle ground. How about that, you leave the Inglom Crystal to us and in exchange we let you go?”.
The Prospector however knew that the only reason the two brothers weren’t attacking was because they were wary of his trump card.
The three spells he had weren’t enough to deter those two but if he chose to attack without any restrain he had a chance at pushing them back.
However he couldn’t allow himself to hand over the small amount of Inglom he had been able to get after so much blood and sweat.
So he chose to fight his possible last fight, he reused his defensive spell to refresh his defense and got ready for the battle that was to come.
-Alex.C. : Rocky Battle Skin
At a fairly rapid pace his skin grew a layer of rock on top of it, turning from human flesh to a rock hard exterior.
The Prospector jumped out of his hiding hole and sent his own offensive spell toward Roy Keith.
-Alex. C. : Pebble Spear
As his Chus gathered and transformed under the use of his principles, the two brothers started their own offensive.
Roy bended the string of his bow while sending his own Chus to form a projectile. While Cloven placed himself in front of his brother.
The half meter-long rocky spear that Alexander had created was sent flying toward the Keith twins.
-Cloven Keith Star Spell: Astral Axe Blade
With superhuman precision Cloven swung his axe toward the javelin barely before being hit.
The two spells met a few centimeters of Cloven’s face.
Cloven’s spell had an axe acting as a support greatly strengthening its power, the moment he struck the chances of Alexander’s spells causing significant damage fell to barely ten percent.

The spear broke under the starlight of Cloven’s axe, meanwhile Roy had finished loading his bow and unloaded two projectiles in a few breaths of time.
-Roy Keith Star Spell: Stellar Arrow
-Roy Keith Star Spell: Stellar Homing Arrow
While one of the two projectiles forced the Prospector to move, the second was sent with the intent to hit him.
Alexander dodged the first arrow by half a dozen centimeters before running away from the second.
While doing twists and turns between the rocks of the quarry they were in, the arrow continued to relentlessly pursue him.
Dodging around when there was only one threat was less difficult than dodging around multiple threats.
-Roy Keith Star Spell: Stellar Homing Arrow
-Roy Keith Star Spell: Stellar Homing Arrow
With three dangers lurking near him, he wasn’t able to dodge correctly and got hit once.
Crack!
The arrow hit his left cheek, chipping away the entire defense of the bottom half of his face.
He turned around and hit one of the two arrows with his pickaxe, destroying it. This action saved his life, destroying one of the two dead omen was a good choice.
Crack!
The second arrow hit his chest; the area right in front of his heart no longer had any defenses.
Very quickly, Cloven arrived behind Alexander’s back and attacked with all of his strength.
-Cloven Keith Star Spell: Starry Sky Replicative Axe
Large amount of light started coming out of Cloven’s axe, and a myriad of flashes were created and dissipated in a blink.
Crack!!!
The entirety of the Prospector back was injured, his defenses weren’t enough to stop Cloven’s strongest method.
The veins on his back had all exploded, his back was entirely drenched in blood.
He turned around and tried to hit Cloven with his pickaxe but the Star Path user had already backed out enough not to get hit.
Volley of arrows started raining down on Alexander forcing him to move far from Cloven. While retreating the two of them took the time to refresh their defenses.
-Alex.C. : Rocky Battle Skin
-Cloven Keith Star Spell: “Broken Star Veil”
Rage filled the Prospector’s mind, the trump card he could only use once a month, he was going to use it in this fight.
He rushed toward Cloven without minding the few arrows that hit his legs and shoulders.
He swung his pickaxe in a frenzy while Cloven tried his best to dodge.
The two of them hit each other a few times, breaking down the defense of the other with each strike.
From time to time an arrow would be sent toward Alexander from the rear.
The distance between the Prospector and Cloven was barely a quarter of a meter.
Without much thought, Alexander activated the power hidden in his pickaxe.
The souls of the dead could be heard, trapped in a pickaxe after death. They were mourning their terrible fate.
Their howl of pain resonated in the quarry.
The energy produced by their souls, activated a spell that had been left in the magical artefact.
-Hitting Souls away like Iron
With all the strength he could gather, Alexander landed a mind shattering hit on Cloven’s chest.
Crack! Crack! Crack!
Every layer of defense that Cloven had set up was destroyed one after the other. His right ribs crooked inward as he was sent flying.
-Roy Keith Star Spell: Broken Star Shard
As he was about to retreat, Alexander received a fully charged arrow in the thigh.
The two sides had suffered enormous damage and both had decided to retreat.
The Prospector looked at his thigh with Chus infused eyes and could see a compacted and highly corrosive Chus slowly spreading in his body.
Meanwhile, Roy started moving his unconscious brother away from the quarry.
None of the two sides got what they wanted, the Prospector wanted to leave unscratched and the Twin Star Wings wanted their Inglom back.

Delve
Summary – Level 1: Delve is an isekai litrpg that follows an average guy who just happened to wake up in a forest one day. He wasn’t summoned to defeat the demon lord or to save the world or anything like that, at least as far as he can tell. The only creature there to greet him was a regular old squirrel. Soon enough, he meets other people, only to discover that he can’t speak the language, and that not everybody immediately trusts random pajama-wearing strangers they met in the middle of the wilderness. Things generally go downhill from there, at least until the blue boxes start appearing. Delve is a story about finding your way in a new, strange, and dangerous world. It’s about avoiding death, figuring out what the heck is going on, and trying to make some friends along the way. It’s not about getting home, so much as finding a new one. Did I mention that there will be math? Summary – Level 2: Okay, but what are you in for, really? Well, this story is supposed to be realistic, or at least, as realistic as a fantasy litrpg can be. The main character doesn’t instantly become an all-powerful god and murder-hobo his way across the universe. Delve is, at its heart, a progression fantasy, but that progression is meant to feel earned. The numbers in this story actually mean something. Everything is calculated, and if you find a rounding error, I expect you to tell me about it. That said, if math isn’t your cup of tea, there is plenty more that the story has to offer. Characters are meant to feel real, and progression isn’t only about personal power; it’s also about allies, connections, and above all, knowledge. Figuring out how the system works is a significant theme. ... What, you want more details? Okay, fine, but this is going to get a bit spoiler-y. Are you sure? Yes! Really sure? I mean, this summary is practically half as long as the first chap– Now! Okay, okay! The main character becomes a magic user, but he takes a route that is not very popular in adventurer culture, namely that of a support. There is a full magic system with various spells, skills, and abilities, but our MC decides that aura magic is the way to go, and that the only stat worth investing in is mana regeneration. Most people at the Adventurer’s Guild think that this makes him a bit of a dumbass, but he’s playing the long game. We’ll see how that works out for him, won’t we? Because of his build, the MC levels up fast, at least compared to normal people. There are no cheats, though, and he is limited in other ways. There are some clear and pretty obvious downsides to his build. That’s what makes it fun, no? Morals? Our MC has them. Again, we’ll see how that works out for him. Realism, remember? Would you be okay with killing someone and looting their body? I sure hope not. POV? The focus is on the main character, but there will be occasional varying perspectives from people around him, or involved in the events related to the main plot. It isn’t going to jump all over the place. Tech is standard medieval stasis. No smartphones, but the MC does have a technical background. Computers and their programming might be involved. There might even be a bit of uplifting down the road, who knows? Anyway, it isn’t the focus. He isn’t going to invent the gun in chapter 1 and change the face of warfare. Romance is not a major focus. Friendships are more the name of the game, though there will be some characters in romantic relationships. There is exploration, though not as much of the geographical nature as you might expect. It is more about exploration of the system and the culture. The pace is slow and detailed, sometimes verging on slice-of-life. The action is meant to be realistic and grounded in the numbers, and it is intended to have meaning beyond simply punching things until they stop moving. The general tone of the story is grey, and some parts can get quite dark. People die. Sometimes, people with names, but not anywhere near GoT level. There is plenty of light, too, though, to balance the darkness. The world is dangerous, but overcoming that danger is why we’re all here, isn’t it? Anyway, if you’ve made it this far through the summary, you clearly like words. I hope you enjoy the story! Cover by Miha Brumec Summary Updated: 2020-06-14

The Normal Dungeon Core: Lethe
Just a normal, standard, no extra frills or gills, dungeon core LitRPG novel in a fantastical world. And as usual, a system exists! Prologue: You know all those stories about reincarnation? Where our beloved (or hated) protagonists are transferred to a new world to conquer, defeat the demon lord, rescue the princess. or are made into mythical gems of power with control over Monsters and Men (psst..a dungeon core)? Where they get a cheat-like ability, are special, granted privileges, or have knowledge from another world? Well, I read about them too in my spare time before I came here. At least, I think I did. Now, you might be asking, where is 'here' ? To answer your somewhat specific, yet vague, question my dear audience...I don't know! But what I do know is that...well nothing other than I had a past life...I think... Anyway...You are correct in assuming that I was indeed reincarnated into a dungeon core! But... ..I have no idea who I was. ...I don't seem to have any special powers or skills or cheats. ....And I was specifically told by Mr. S that I am not, and never will be, "special." Now, if you are confused, then I'm doing a great job, because you probably have no idea what I'm talking about, I haven't given you a background story, or taken you through the last few hours of my new existence. We will get to that! I promise! The main reason I am telling you this absurd and completely delusional preface, is to introduce to you the idea that I, as in me, the new dungeon core, am not "special".............. With that out of the way, how about we rewind time a bit to when I...developed my consciousness? Yes? Great! Lets goooooo! ---------
