AUTHOR'S NOTES

Well, hello-hello, and thank you so much for reading this far!
Not sure if this is as effective as simply writing an A/N on the sections of every chapter, but I prefer to do something like this to keep the story flowing.
First things first, I really have to give thanks to the guys helping me with the writing and advising regarding military tactics, terminology, and other things a civilian like me would screw up (as I very much did the first time I wrote this). Nighthawk, Cpl. Isaac, and several others who've given suggestions and just great overall assistance in bringing this story to life. Also, big thanks to Mashiroarts for the art. He's helped bring the work to life in a way I never expected to even a year ago.
So for those wondering, yes, this is a very similar concept to a certain anime series and was originally a fanfiction for said anime. However, I always felt a bit constrained when it was written as a fanfiction and decided to try to expand on it as an original work. The idea of two eras clashing, while not necessarily new, is one I don't really see done as often, and I wanted to try my hand at presenting an interesting story within this scenario, perhaps mixed in with a bit of Alternate History and Cold War drama because... well, who doesn't like a bit of Cold War drama?
Anyway, I hope you all enjoyed this first volume. I generally like to give my thoughts on every chapter, but I do think this format works a bit better. If not, feel free to let me know. Really, let me know about any issues, grammatical or plot-related that you may have had with the story so far. Characters from Orville to Hilaire, or Octavious to Thule, the combat, the politics, I want to hear your feedback both to deliver a better story and to improve my writing so, again, do let me know!

With that said, I think that would be it for this volume which... hmm, I wanted to release in full over the course of ten or so weeks originally, but let's just say life finds a way to mess with that.
When is volume 2 coming out?
Hopefully, the wait isn't too long. It needs some reworking, and I prefer not to give a date on something I can't guarantee, but I promise I am going to continue this, and I hope to get some nice art to go with it.
I really hope this story is as enjoyable to read as it's been so far to write, and I thank you all so much for reading!
Until the next update,
DFMR (Frank)!

Puranae
In 2021, an inexplicable global shockwave wreaked havoc upon the modern world, now a shadow of its former self. Less than 1% of the population survived and was forced into urban shelters amidst all of the destruction. Since the fateful day, children began to develop exceptional abilities, to which one could refer as magic. Four years later, Ken and his younger sister Charlotte live in Nataran, one of the most thriving shelters known for its resource expeditions which he is a part of. Lord of cauldrons
A man reincarnated to a world where cultivation ruled supreme. One were even practices like human cauldrons and dual cultivation was commonplace and a part of the culture. What was not commonplace was treating these cauldrons with any ounce of respect or affection. These cauldrons were like pills or potions to be used and consumed or thrown away. They were often just a stepping stone in one's immortal path. One man thought, "What if they were my immortal path." --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- My chinese knowledge is limited to wuxia/xianxia books and cultivator games and I will only follow it loosely, I have my own cultivation system which will be basis for this story The reason I am writing this is because I have yet to find a dual cultivation story that has something I really wanted to read. Using the 'cauldrons' like Pokémon and the 'cauldrons' being the main source of power. I will update this at a minimum of once per week.

Tanka and Haiku
Overview TankaThe tanka poem is very similar to haiku but tanka poems have more syllables and it uses simile, metaphor and personifacation. There are five lines in a Tanka poem. Tanka poems are written about nature, seasons, love, sadness and other strong emotions. This form of poetry dates back almost 1200 years ago.HaikuHaiku poetry hails from Japan and uses strict syllable guidelines rather than focusing on meter or rhyme. Because the poem is short only three lines with 17 total syllables writers must choose words carefully to create meaning. Haiku poetry is typically simplistic, but its meaning can have great depth. Source : Wikipedia You can share my poem but dont copy, Piglarism is a crime. Enjoy reading po. 💕😊💕Ms. Eryl
