AUTHOR'S NOTES

Well, hello-hello, and thank you so much for reading this far!
Not sure if this is as effective as simply writing an A/N on the sections of every chapter, but I prefer to do something like this to keep the story flowing.
First things first, I really have to give thanks to the guys helping me with the writing and advising regarding military tactics, terminology, and other things a civilian like me would screw up (as I very much did the first time I wrote this). Nighthawk, Cpl. Isaac, and several others who've given suggestions and just great overall assistance in bringing this story to life. Also, big thanks to Mashiroarts for the art. He's helped bring the work to life in a way I never expected to even a year ago.
So for those wondering, yes, this is a very similar concept to a certain anime series and was originally a fanfiction for said anime. However, I always felt a bit constrained when it was written as a fanfiction and decided to try to expand on it as an original work. The idea of two eras clashing, while not necessarily new, is one I don't really see done as often, and I wanted to try my hand at presenting an interesting story within this scenario, perhaps mixed in with a bit of Alternate History and Cold War drama because... well, who doesn't like a bit of Cold War drama?
Anyway, I hope you all enjoyed this first volume. I generally like to give my thoughts on every chapter, but I do think this format works a bit better. If not, feel free to let me know. Really, let me know about any issues, grammatical or plot-related that you may have had with the story so far. Characters from Orville to Hilaire, or Octavious to Thule, the combat, the politics, I want to hear your feedback both to deliver a better story and to improve my writing so, again, do let me know!

With that said, I think that would be it for this volume which... hmm, I wanted to release in full over the course of ten or so weeks originally, but let's just say life finds a way to mess with that.
When is volume 2 coming out?
Hopefully, the wait isn't too long. It needs some reworking, and I prefer not to give a date on something I can't guarantee, but I promise I am going to continue this, and I hope to get some nice art to go with it.
I really hope this story is as enjoyable to read as it's been so far to write, and I thank you all so much for reading!
Until the next update,
DFMR (Frank)!

Daybreak Palace: Legends of the Guiding Threads
It is said that the universe is a tapestry, woven by hundreds of thousands of tiny threads. Among those threads there are those that affect the fate of the entire tapestry. They are known as the Guiding Threads. Wherever that thread may go, others are destined to follow. This is the legend of a single Guiding Thread. On the night before her twentieth birthday, Tianna discovers a secret about herself that had been kept from her since the day she was born. She was the heir to the throne of Althaedor and the Queen was patiently awaiting her arrival. The problem was those who were not patiently waiting. The select few among the members of the Queen’s Council that were aware of Tianna’s existence jumped at the opportunity to raise a naive princess themselves before she reached her mother’s side. Thus she sets out on a journey to meet the Queen and find the truth before she is caught by her greedy pursuers. (Cover photo by Louis Maniquet)

Book 1: The Forgotten Fighter
Follow a collection of chance encounters turned potential allies as numerous forces work to tear through the fabric of reality. Viamarr, a continent in the world of Rinterria, holds host to our tale and to the city of High Morr, which sits snugly on its frozen island in the middle of a great frostbitten lagoon. When High Morr is suddenly crippled by a series of mysterious sinkholes, our heroes do what they do best. Try to run. Keep up with them to find out where they end up and what exactly is chasing them in return. I hope to publish a new chapter 3 times a week. This is reduced from my previous number, hopefully temporarily, due to an increased workload outside of Royal Road. I welcome any and all feedback to improve my writing, so thank you for taking the time to check out my page.

South of Guadarrama
A novel set in Cordoba X century during the Umayyad dynasty. Among historical figures such as Al-Mansur, and the Sultana Subh or Aurora, using her Latin name, mingle fictional characters interwoven with historical facts, that will make you go through loves, betrayals, emotions, and the dangers of Muslim splendor of time during the Islamic conquest of Hispania in century X. Two plots run in parallel; the first involving the attempt to rescue the power to Hisham II, overshadowed by Al-Mansur ambition and the second in the intricacies of the famous Al-Zahara Palace Library, when the discovery of a manuscript of the Koran can change the destiny of Islam and of its faithful. The Sierra de Guadarrama is a mountain range of Central System (mountain range of the center of the Iberian Peninsula) and was south of this chain of mountains that stood the Muslims domains based in Cordoba. As the Wattpad does not allow automatic inclusion of footnotes, I have informed at the end of each chapter the explanation of a typical ancient expression or personage that can generate doubts. Check the end of each chapter to see if your doubt is explained there.Classified as an adult, according to WattPad rules, because it involves one sex scene, not described in an explicit way, and contains episodes of violence. It does not contain pornography. Cover art by Camila Rodrigues (https://www.wattpad.com/user/CapistaCamila)

Blurred Childhood
DISCLAIMER: I wrote this story before the Fazbear Fright books came out, more or less confirming that Foxy Bro is Michael Afton. I took this story down for a little while because I wasn't sure what else to do with it, but I decided to put it back up because I worked for a long time on it but I would like you to have this little PSA in mind. Thank you. :)Now for the synopsis:Michael quite literally wakes up to impaired memory and a distant family who he thinks might be willing to help him get his memory back. Soon enough, he learns about the many dead people he's been close to and the mystery surrounding them. Michael then starts sticking his nose in places he doesn't belong, getting himself in trouble, all the while his family seems to be falling apart.
