These are the first chapters of Book One in the FIRE series.

This is my first attempt at writing in this form.
It has been - and still is - a constant process of addition,
subtraction, revision, reflection, revelation and self education.

The opening of the story is set within the historical shipwreck
of the S.S. Loch Ard. The Loch Ard Peacock is on display at
the Flagstaff Hill Museum in Warrnabool, Victoria Australia.

The problem is when you're a necromancer not too many of the living want to hang out. She's on a trek across the stars looking for her brother and that isn't cheap either. The Valraiths are in the habit of pressganging anyone they run across to man their ships, and that's just what happened to him. It was either work in the reactor room or take a plasma blast to the head. Karla doesn't know where the space pirates went, but she doesn't need to interrogate them. Once they're dead, they'll tell her everything she needs to know. Now she just has to follow the trail of broken ships and looted bodies floating through space. The only problem is the one thing people like less than pirates are necromancers

The Unlucky Third
James is an unlucky third. More of a mistake then a plan. For 12 years, since the day he was born, he has done nothing but remain hidden from anyone and everyone. Only 4 people know that James even exists and those people are his parents and elder brothers. The law of the state has declared James as a taboo, something forbidden and not allowed. When his sanctuary is destroyed, he turns to other things to keep himself occupied when one day he catches a glimpse of something that may not change his life but at least understand him and keep him company. For ever he had thought he was the only one. Maybe he isn’t? ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- English is not my first language so please try to go easy on the grammar and the punctuation. 3-4 chapters will be uploaded per week. This will be a somewhat short story. I intent to write story that I can at least complete. I hope you may enjoy my work.
