《Unexpected Reincarnation》Chapter 93: Fragile(3)

“Ma’am, I hope you aren’t too angry at this not-so-shocking secret,” Sol laughed. He quickly whipped out his wand and cast ‘Incendio Tria’ at her. A massive pillar of flames shot at her from his wand dyeing everything in orange.
The red-haired woman waved her wand in front of herself and defended herself with ‘Protego.’ Sol’s flames bounced off her translucent shield. However, Sol did not stop his onslaught of spells. He cast more spells at her, including ‘Confringo,’ ‘Bombarda,’ ‘Flipendo Tria,’ ‘Glacius,’ and ‘Petrificus Totalus.’ Every single one of them was successfully deflected by the woman, but it left her unable to retaliate. With a seemingly endless supply of magic power, Sol kept attacking, which made the woman gnash her teeth in frustration.
“Stop. Attacking. You. Insignificant. Rat!” she spoke through gritted teeth and tried to use ‘Flippendo Tria’ to break through, but another ‘Incendio’ stopped her in her tracks. The barrage of spells was slowly backing her into the carriage door. Sol kept advancing, pressuring her.
“Hahah! This feels good!” Sol seemed ecstatic at this turn of events. Grunting in frustration, the red-haired woman raised her right arm slowly while using her left hand to hold her wand and cast spells. Her right hand had a ring on it -which despite there being no sunlight- twinkled.
Sol had a bad premonition and instantly cast ‘Protego’ towards the train window. In a tenth of the second, a deafening explosion roared in front of him, splintering the carriage wall. Despite Protego saving him from the explosion and splinters, it did not save him from the knockback. His body flew into the open carriage next to him and slammed into the wall.
Sol coughed as he felt a dull pain in his back. He stumbled and staggered as he hastily got up to his feet. “Jesus Christ, what the fuck?” he looked out of the carriage to see the hole blown out on the side of the train. A figure climbed aboard from this hole. He had long silver hair with a side part and a hideous burn scar on the left side of his face. Unlike a certain popular comic at that time, his scar was very asymmetrical.

“Jeez, Patricia, you got your ass handed to you by this imp?” his voice was gravelly, annoyingly so. Like Donald Duck, but it sounded like two sandpaper rubbing against each other.
“He turned out to be…more than I could handle,” the red-haired woman, Patricia, admitted. “No doubt, he’s the one who successfully cleared the vaults.”
“And the key?” the scarred man asked, “Does he have it?”
“No, Alto, he doesn’t.”
“Yes, yes, tell me your guys’ names so I can specifically look for you guys for revenge,” Sol said between coughs.
“Kid,” the scarred man, Alto, laughed. It was very annoying. “Why are you so sure you’ll be alive for that?” He cast another ‘Bombarda’ at him. Sol quickly sidestepped and used ‘Protego,’ but the knockback sent him flying through the walls and into another carriage.
As he lay on the ground, he could hear Patricia and Alto talk about something, but he could care less about it. He had a big grin on his face. It had gotten to the point where he was so angry he could do nothing but laugh at this situation.
Suddenly, he heard something shifting near him. He turned his head around and saw a girl huddled under one of the seats. He understood that this was the friend of the student who ran away.
“Oi, girl!” he beckoned her. The girl, who was hugging her knees, peeked at him. Seeing a familiar face, he tried to recall her name, “Wait, you’re in Gryffindor! What’s your name…? Just what was it? Right, Romilda. Romilda Vane. That’s you, right?”
The girl, Romilda, slowly nodded her head. Sol grinned, “You know who I am, right? Your senior – Sol? Well, it doesn’t matter if you know me or not. I need you to leave here. There are two very scary guys in the next carriage. And I need to fight them. I’ll buy you some time while you escape. Can you do that?”
She quickly nodded. Sol heard the two ‘R’ members banter ending. He quickly said, “When I say ‘go,’ you make a run for it. Got it?”

“G-Got it!”
“Alright,” Sol quickly stood up and saw the two ‘R’ members approaching him. Alto grinned at this sight, his burned, lipless side split open, “Hey, you’re still alive. You’re a durable bloke, ain’t ya?”
“Well, you got to have a body like mine to deal with bastards like you,” Sol sighed. “Alright, let’s start round 2!” He waved his wand at them and cast ‘Galcius.’ A beam of frost attacked them, which they easily blocked with ‘Protego.’
“Go!” Sol commanded, and Romilda scurried off from underneath the seats and made a run for it.
“Hey, look at you! You’re quite heroic!” Alto commented.
“Mate, it won’t matter unless I take you guys down.”
“That’s quite right. But if you plan to stop us, this won’t cut it.”
“Alright, let’s turn up the heat! Incendio Tria!” the frost was replaced by a torrent of flames that charred everything in its path.
“Why the hell is this so strong?” both Alto and Patricia had begun sweating.
“This rat bastard is weird; all of his spells are too strong!” Patricia replied to Alto.
“I can see that, you nitwit!” it was becoming taxing to keep chanting ‘Protego,’ the two ‘R’ members needed to do something. As the flames kept spewing from Sol’s wand, he aimed it above their heads and cast ‘Bombarda.’ The spell hit the wooden ceiling above them and collapsed on their heads. It didn’t crush them since the explosion had splintered the wood, but it was enough to cause a distraction.
Sol quickly used ‘Wingardium Leviosa’ on the pieces of the wooden wall he had crashed through and flung it towards them. Caught unawares, the two ‘R’ members were unable to react in time and cast ‘Protego’ a bit too late.
Alto knelt on the ground. A piece of jagged wood dug into his chest, and his robes became dyed in blood. With great difficulty, he looked up and saw Sol shake his head at him. With a manic grin, the latter said, “Brute force isn’t everything.”
Alto fell to the ground, the wood digging further into his chest as blood began pooling underneath. Patricia was doing much better than him. Only small splinters had dug into her legs and arms, while the bigger ones had missed her. Well, no harm, no foul. He was aiming for Alto mostly.
Patricia was looking at Alto with a pale face. It took only a single moment for the tables to turn against them. She looked at Sol and took a step back. Sol raised his index finger and counted, “One.”
Sol raised his wand and cast a spell, “Petrifi-” However, the train suddenly jerked, and he staggered, interrupting his spell. He looked up at Patricia after regaining his balance, only to see a small spiral closing off.
“Fuck, she disapparated!” Sol cursed in his mind. “How the hell did she disapparate inside the train? I thought you couldn’t do that?”
He looked outside the window and saw the scenery going past him. “Wait, the train’s moving-” before he could complete that thought, he heard a thud above his head followed by footsteps.
He looked up and sighed, “Don’t tell me…. This is going to be straight from the movies.”
He quickly ran towards the hole Alto had made on the side of the train and grabbed onto the roof of the carriage after pocketing his wand. Pulling himself up, he saw Patricia running from one carriage to the other, heading towards the engine.
“Man, her hair is really eye-catching!” he quickly pulled himself up and, without rest, ran after her.
“Oi, you muppet! What the bloody hell are you doing!?” he screamed after her. Faintly hearing him, Patricia turned around and aimed her wand at him. The train was moving at a moderate speed but was slowly picking up speed.
“Fuck, here starts round 3,” Sol quietly took his wand out. This fight had been going on for too long.

8 191Petmaster Evolutions
This is a story about an ordinary earthling that sees the impossible and because of that gets kidnapped and introduced the the system called Odyssey which infects planets with mana to create monsters. This story will follow his journey through his trials. I do not believe in overpowered so I will not allow the MC to get to god mode. Since I started writing, the story has evolved some from chapter 1 on through as some stuff just did not make sense and in my mind the story has become clearer. Eventually I will have to go back and edit the beginning chapters to match the rest of the story but I do not have time at the moment. I will update as often as possible but I work full time, school full time, and have a 18 month old and an infant. I make no promises on time between new chapters. Honestly I did not expect people to follow the story and I just wanted to write for the fun of it and to see how the story that was running around in my head came out. I appreciate all of you who take the time to read my story and help me make it better by pointing out any mistakes I make. The only editing and proofreading I manage to do is the word app Grammarly so I miss things sometimes.
