《How I Became A Jarl》Hunt For Blessing pt. 3

The wheel started to spin. It was loud and I could feel how great this thing was. With every spin, my whole body felt the vibrations. After a while, the arrow pointed at “Rare and lesser.”
[ Eric ]
“What does it mean?” I asked.
[ Loki ]
“It’s simple. Now you’ll spin two wheels, one with a rare ability that I wouldn’t even think to give you for that simple quest. And the second wheel will be with abilities that were going to be your reward.”
Luck is on my side! Now I’ll get normal skill and something cool! Both wheels were as big as me and there were less than sixty possibilities. First was the normal skill. It stopped on “Lucky Throw” and after that was “Fire Breathing” which sounded cool but I can’t complain… On the wheel with rare abilities, an arrow pointed at “False Fear”.
[ Eric ]
“So… What are those skills?”
[ Loki ]
“You can guess what ‘Lucky Throw’ is by its name. It gives you a ten percent chance of doing double damage by throwing. There is a chance that if you throw an ax it will be like you threw two at once.”
[ Eric ]
“Hmm… That’s cool… I guess…”
[ Loki ]
“And False Fear is a skill that changes your presence for everyone. Even stronger people than you will feel like a god is standing in front of them. But it doesn’t work on monsters…”
[ Eric ]
“Still good. I guess… See you next time?”
[ Loki ]
“Not like I want that… but… with your luck…”
When I opened my eyes I was in a cave again. My back and my chest didn’t hurt anymore and I didn’t have a taste of blood in my mouth. I was completely healed. I looked around. Beside me was a dead bear and further away… was Tae… His arm was still shattered. I ran toward him. He was still bleeding. I held him close to me.

[ Eric ]
“Frejr! Please! Help the one you blessed! Do you don’t care?” I was going to cry but then Tae started to move again.
[ Tae ]
“What are you doing?”
[ Eric ]
I just simply dropped him and said “I was checking if you had any coins on you…”
[ Tae ]
“Ouch! WHAT?!”
[ Eric ]
“Anyway… Now that you’re awake… You can help me with digging the way out!” I said as I threw a pickaxe at him. He just answered me with a disappointed chuckle...
While we were digging I noticed that Tae’s arm wasn’t completely healed. I could see that with every swing of the pickaxe he was flinching. The longer I was looking the more annoyed I was.
[ Eric ]
“Isn’t your arm healed?” I asked.
[ Tae ]
“It was but since I didn’t complete any quest like you I couldn’t get a better reward.”
[ Eric ]
“So why did Frejr reward you?”
[ Tae ]
“For helping a comrade.”
After around twenty minutes of digging, we finally had a way out. Pickaxes were completely wracked so we left them but I couldn’t leave without any trophy. Since the bear was dead he couldn’t use magic and he had no armor on him. I slowly chopped off his head with my small ax.
[ Tae ]
“You’re taking its head? Why?” Asked Tae.
[ Eric ]
“First to show people that we killed it… and second… For money!!!”
[ Tae ]
“I should’ve known…”
The head was too heavy but I didn’t like the idea of dragging it because I might damage the head. We all know that damaged goods are worth less than they would in a perfect state. I took off Tae's cloak and placed the head on it. Now I won’t damage it and I can drag it.

[ Tae ]
“What are you doing with my cloak?!”
[ Eric ]
“Using it?”
[ Tae ]
“But why mine?!”
[ Eric ]
“I’ll buy you a new one so shut up…”
When we arrived at the village once again we got everyone's attention. We went to Galmar’s stand since I’m on good terms with him. Before he said anything he just sat there in shock.
[ Galmar ]
“Is that what I think it is?”
[ Eric ]
“Yup… It’s Rock Bear’s head.”
[ Galmar ]
“It can’t… How much do you want?”
[ Eric ]
“For how much will you sell it?”
[ Galmar ]
“It can be sold for fifty… no, sixty silver coins”
[ Eric ]
“Then I’ll sell it to you for twenty five. How is that?”
[ Galmar ]
“No, I can’t… It’s worth much more…”
[ Eric ]
“I’ll sell it for twenty five and you’ll help me take the rest of the body.”
[ Galmar ]
“You said… rest of the body? It’ll be worth a gold coin if not two!”
[ Eric ]
“Great! Then I’ll sell everything for sixty silver coins.”
[ Galmar ]
“Are you sure?”
[ Eric ]
“Yup. I already got so much for killing it.”
[ Galmar ]
“What do you mean?”
[ Eric ]
“I would show you but… It might be too much for you… Let’s just say I have new powers.”
After our discussions, me, Galmar, and Tae took the rest of the body to the village. This time more people gathered to see it. We were even welcomed with applause. Also, Jarl came to see it, and like always he thanked on his knees for killing the monster.
He is too polite for a Viking…

Legends of Balarel - A Leisurely LitRPG
Glenn Redwood has longed to become an Adventurer since he was a young boy, and has focused every waking moment on that goal since turning 14. Answering the challenge of the Gods of Balarel, he has fought Monsters, Leveled, and grown stronger. Yet the day before his 16th birthday, the day he will earn his dream or lose it forever ... the Gods have made a wager. And no mere mortal wishes to draw the attention of the Gods. ***** This is my crack at writing a leisurely LitRPG. My focus is more on telling interesting stories set in a world where people live under a MMORPG-like ruleset enforced by the Gods, and less on writing another story where the MC gets massive stat boosts every chapter before heading off to wreck the world. There will be plenty of blue tables (it’s LitRPG!) but my Adventurers are just starting out. This fic is about the journey, not the destination, so expect everyone to Level ... leisurely. Updates: M-T-W-Th. I’ll post 3000-4000 words a day, or 12000-15000 words a week. If this posting pace ends up being too much for me, I reserve the right to slow posts down a bit. Inspirations: Blessed Time (Royal Road) Is It Wrong To Try To Pick Up Girls In a Dungeon? (Anime) Trails in the Sky (JRPG Series) MC: My MC is a genuinely good person who’s both a talented warrior and tactically savvy. He prefers to solve problems without violence but will resort to force if necessary to protect his friends or innocent people. I’m tired of stories starring anti-hero MCs facing endless doom and gloom, so I wanted to write a nice guy with an adventurous spirit who helps people in a thriving fantasy world. That’s all.

Raven: The Beginning
'What's the worst that could happen'? is what I thought to myself as I entered the World of the Veil with a new, experimental machine that the company created. I was originally excited to participate in their alpha test, and now, looking back, I was just a naive little girl that didn't know what it was like to truly suffer. Sarah was one of the world's best assassin players, but she wasn't prepared for getting stuck as a low-level player in a new game. Suddenly she has to struggle just to survive against the monsters of the world, while also keeping her secret from the authorities. What happens when the killing, and the consequences, are just too real? Author's Note (and a Warning): This book is about a normal person that is forced into a fantasy / medieval environment. What could possibly go wrong with our heroine? This novel is a sort of, legacy. I wanted to at least put it out there before I passed away due to a combination of financial difficulty, homelessness, job loss, and my last interview taking up the last of my savings (which I did not get the job). If by some miracle, and I get a job that can give me a pay advance by next week (4/8) and I survive this turbulent time, I will edit this - and the formating of the book). If you are so willing, please donate on my patreon page. Regards, Dave

Rampaging Biology
It is the year 2199, the end of the 22nd century. Due to a biopocalypse unleashed by a certain genetic engineer, all life on the planet evolved at incredible speeds, but humans couldn't keep up so they built walled cities. The story follows a certain clone trying to find its place. The first 90ish chapters aren't those that I am proud of, but if you like the premise, stick around, it gets better in the 100s. Five chapters per week Mon-Fri

incomprehensible thoughts
This is just the weird & random shit it my mind, for when I can remember them and when I have time to put those thoughts & feelings into words, IF I can even do that. Writing is one of the things that I couldn't live without, and it's weird because it's something that bloomed from some things that I now hate. Anygays, enjoy the show.
