《World Of Swords》Nirvana

"What are we guarding this place from, who would dare attack the Ming Clan?" mumbled a newly arrived Ming Clan guard as he looked at the secret realm in front of them,
"Don't worry kid, nothing has ever happened in the years I have been here, you have nothing to fear," said a much older guard as he patted the shoulder of the young guard and dragged him to the group.
"Don't be scared kiddo, nothing will happen, this is probably the safest position in the entirety of the clan," said another guard as the rest of the group let out a laugh.
"Then what is this weird feeling," thought the young guard as he suddenly felt a chill in his heart for some reason.
"Can you take over my post for a minute, I need to go relieve myself," said the young guard as he approached an older guard that was just walking by.
"Fine, but come back fast, I want to go to sleep," said the older guard as he impatiently waved his hand.
After this, the young guard began walking into a bush, before starting to run as fast as he can, completely uncaring about the fact that the Ming Clan could track him down.
Even as he ran further and further away, a feeling of dread began filling the young guard's eyes.
"I Chun Feng will not die here," said Chun Feng as he somehow managed to increase his speed far above what he could usually do.
...
"Does that kid have a problem with his bladder," mumbled the older guard, not even taking the chance that Chu Feng had betrayed them into consideration, as the kid had no reason to.
Suddenly, without any warning, the barrier protecting the Secret realm started fluctuating.

Immediately after that, the older guard took out a token from his spatial bag and crushed it.
"Why am I so unlucky," mumbled the older guard as he went to alert the other guards.
...
"Finally getting nervous," mumbled Ming Ling as he looked at the fluctuating formation with a smile on his face.
Soon after, several other members of the Ming Clan appeared next to Ming Ling and began looking the at the formation.
Without any hint or warning, the formation then disappeared.
"Something wrong," mumbled Ming Ling, when suddenly, a beautiful woman appeared in the sky in front of them.
Without saying anything, Ming Ling activated several formations that were previously placed here by the clan, and together with the three other Minor Trancendance cultivators and other clan members surrounded the woman.
"Ye Feng, although you have reached the Minor Trancendace Realm, the might of the Ming clan is not something you can challenge, if you surrender now the clan will be lenient to you and yo-"
Halfway through his speech, Ming Ling suddenly stopped talking, his body, alongside the bodies of the other Ming clan cultivators suddenly began burning, thankfully for them, they had only burned for a few moments before turning into ash alongside all of the formations and treasures surrounding her.
After a few moments, Ye Feng looked down at the cultivators that the Ming clan hired to watch over the formation and waved her hand, causing them to be erased from existence.
After this, Ye Feng looked into the distance and saw a cultivator had already run away some time ago, upon noticing that he was not from the Ming Clan, she did not bother giving chase.
"Hmm, safe, then I will go after the Ming Clan first," mumbled Ye Feng as she began flying in a certain direction.

...
As he continued running, Chu Feng suddenly felt the chill in his heart disappear as something seemingly looked at him for a moment.
"I need to go away from the area controlled by the Ming Clan," mumbled Chu Feng, unaware of the fact that the Ming Clan had a bigger problem on their hands at the moment.
...
A long time ago,
"Have I succeded?" asked Ye Feng as she wondered if her score in the trial was high enough.
"Normally not, but based on your injuries and your young age, your score is more than enough to pass the trial," said a little bird that appeared on Ye Feng's shoulder.
As soon as the bird said that, a drop of blood appeared in front of Ye Feng alongside a jade slip.
"You should take it, if not for the fact that the secret realm was suppressing your injuries, you would have already died, you don't want your injuries to cause you any problems with your future cultivation do you?" asked the bird as it looked at Ye Feng.
Without hesitating any longer, Ye Feng swallowed the drop of blood.
"Umm, the willpower is enough," mumbled the bird as she watched as flames began engulfing Ye Feng.
Suddenly, two orange flaming wings suddenly sprouted from Ye Feng's back, causing flesh, blood and bones to be sent flying from it.
As soon as that happened, the flames seemed to sink into the place where Ye Feng's flesh once stood, replacing it.
"What a pity, to reach this state with only one drop of essence blood, if only my main body was still alive, this little girl maybe could have achieved bloodline ativism," mumbled the bird as it watched Ye Feng begin to peacefully sleep in a ball of fire, causing a shocked expression to appear on it's face.
"Was this little girl a Pheonix in it's past life?" mumbled the little bird as it watched Ye Feng with amazed eyes.
Suddenly determination filled the bird's eyes.
"Goodbye little girl," mumbled the bird as all of its body and soul transformed itself into a golden drop of blood before flying into Ye Feng.
A few minutes after that happened, a sad Pheonix cry somehow came out of Ye Feng's human mouth, this was the last thing that happened before Ye Feng began her final transformation into a small bird.
"Goodbye old bird," thought Ye Feng before both her body and soul transformed into flames.

How the Stars Turned Red
Announcement as of 05 July 2022: I've been diagnosed with some pretty severe nerve damage in my left arm, rendering me unable to write effectively, and as such this story is on hold until it is healed. I am so sorry, and I promise to get back to writing as soon as possible. In the latter half of the 3rd millennium CE, humanity has spread across the stars, inhabiting close to five-hundred worlds across the Orion Arm. Earth has become irrelevant, a historical has-been. The galactic map is dominated by two mega-factions, both controlling vast amounts of territories either through direct control or through their many allies and treaty signatories. The Kingdom of Aurora is the political and economic hegemon despite consisting of only seven inhabited worlds; their strength lies in the Royal Union, an interstellar commonwealth composing an internal market and a common defence pact. These member worlds are myriad and varied, culturally as well as politically, but they all flock to the same banner. The Independent Systems Alliance, spearheaded by the Republic of Elysium, is the ascendant challenger to Aurora and the Union. A pseudo-federal multi-system polity, the Alliance economy and military is rapidly expanding, but at the cost of effective democratic and meritocratic involvement by its people. However, with two superpowers as this, chafing along a common border, and with a constant clamour of polemics, both sides have become convinced the other is constantly preparing for war and are on the look-out for any perceived weakness in their opponent. The predictable result is a huge arms race and a cold war spreading across the stars, requiring only a spark to set the galaxy aflame. Drawn into this game of high stakes are ordinary men and women, their peaceful lives, hopes, and aspirations swallowed by the vortex of conflict and distrust. This is their story. Cover art by Rhodex Designs (FB). Hope you like long chapters and adjectives. Note: English is not my first language. Another story set in the same universe, written by a good friend

Trial of Champions
It all began with a family trip to an amusement park. How were any of us to expect being transported from Earth to participate in some "Trial of Champions," whatever that was supposed to be? Given only an hour to choose the Classes that would come to define our strengths, we were almost immediately torn away from one another and thrust into a deadly game of survival. It wasn't all bad, though, as terrifying as it could be from time to time. The supernatural and magical powers of the Classes were like something out of an RPG, complete with leveling up by killing monsters and completing so-called "Sub-Trials." And despite the juicy Experience to be gained from killing other Champion Contestants, not all of the participants were bloodthirsty murderers; some could be allied with, or even befriended. Even if it seemed like everyone who had been chosen for this Trial, no matter what universe they came from, was at least a little bit crazy. I would survive this till the end, and I'd make sure that my siblings and parents did as well, no matter how many times we were separated from one another. No matter how long it took. No matter what I had to do. --- A first-person litRPG incorporating classes inspired by D&D and other sources. If you like blue boxes but don't need to have huge lists of numbers to scratch your itch, you should be satisfied on that front. Each chapter is, in my word processing document, seven pages long (approximately 3300-3900 words). The Traumatizing Content warning is there because of discussions of certain topics. Nothing that I think deserves the warning actually happens in the story.

The Devil's Bride
"I am not sleepy so why don't we tell each other a story?" Her voice was low and raspy and fuck, I'd been lying if I say I wasn't turned the fuck on. "Like what?" I ask swallowing my pride and probably my sense of direction. Her skin was on top of mine, in contact, burning. "I don't know." She says taking her time to adjust herself on my lap. I had to grip the chair for support feeling all my breath vanish from my lungs. "Maybe a short bio about yourself." She advocates placing one of her hands on my chest. I feel the contact through my shirt, my eyes trained on every movement of hers. The worst of it all was that she is unaware of what she was doing to me. "Uh-" I feel my words shorten. On impulse, I grab her by her waist for support instead. Leaning back painfully on the single chair. "You're so cute when you're confused!" She giggles going ahead to move slightly on my lap. I blow out a groan feeling my erection harden.
