Once the Baseball game ended, I walked out of the gated field and walked onto the sidewalks.
"Hey, flower." I heard a voice speak and I instantly knew who it was. I turned to see the one and only Bruce Yamada in front of me.
"I didn't know you would be at my game today." Bruce grinned softly.
"Flower? You're still calling me that." I pressed my lips together. A chuckle escaped Bruce's lips as his lips soon formed a smile.
"Of course," Bruce responded.
I walked into the doors of my new school.
I nervously looked down at the ground as I walked only to bump into someone a few seconds later.
"Oh, I'm so sorry." A voice let out, I assumed it was the person I bumped into.
"No, it's fine," I replied, calmly.
A few things dropped from my bag and the guy began to help me pick them up.
He grabbed my perfume and read the label.
"Flower breeze." The boy let out a smile.
"Nice perfume, flower." He teased and handed me the perfume bottle.
My cheeks flushed slightly as I took it from him.
"You look as beautiful as a flower you know that?" The boy smiled, this made me get even more flustered as I now began to get nervous.
The boy noticed and chuckled slightly.
"I'm Bruce. What's your name flower?" Bruce asked.
"I'm y/n," I answered with a nervous smile.
"Pretty name." Bruce complimented before continuing.
"I'll see you later, flower." Bruce smiled and walked away.
"Nice job on your game by the way." I smiled.
"Thanks," Bruce replied with a slight sigh.
"Why the sigh?" I asked as I tilted my head a bit.
"We almost lost, and if it wasn't for that last hit...we wouldn't have won." Bruce's smile faded slowly.

I frowned a bit and put my hand on his shoulder.
"Hey that should be a good thing, you were the whole reason you guys won." I comforted, he looked into my eyes before nodding.
We started to walk with no desired destination and continued to talk.
"You know, flower... if we hadn't met that day, I don't think I would've ever found someone I've ever liked as much." Bruce suddenly let out. My eyes widened as I shook my head not believing what he had said.
I hummed, questioning his saying.
He sighed deeply before stopping in his tracks, making me stop in mine.
"I like you y/n... and not just like, I like like you," Bruce emphasized as a noticeable blush creepy onto his cheeks.
"Are you sure? I mean no one has ever-" I started before Bruce's finger brushed against my lips shushing me.
"I've never been so sure in my lips y/n, he leaned in and grabbed my face gently, and placed a soft kiss against my lips.
My eyes widened but melted into the kiss as my arms wrapped around his neck.
We parted as I looked away nervously.
"I like you too," I muttered quietly.
I could see Bruce smile in the corner of my eye before he pulled me in for a tight hug.
I smiled passionately before hugging back.

Stranger than Fiction (Draft Edition)
Rewrite -> https://www.royalroad.com/fiction/55140/stranger-than-fiction 150k words of rewritten and new content, updating 3 times a day. Faith is like ice-cream. It comes in all flavors. Greek, Norse, Sumerian, Christian— just name it and it's there. Adventures, on the other hand, are like credit cards. The first taste is free, but the price only goes up from there. Family heirlooms, now those are true evil. You get burdened with them for sentimental reasons even if they’re icky. For Lukas Aguilar, it was a pendant. A small, weird metal nib with absolutely no vampiric tendencies. All he wanted was to finish the job at hand, and get on that book he had been postponing for a while now. Instead he got served with an apocalypse for breakfast, a cave full of eldritch monsters for the company and the whims of a ruined goddess for his To-Do list. Really, a simple NO from the universe would have sufficed. Acknowledgments Editor-in-Chief: Solo Starfish Artwork: Exodus
