《Law of God (Book 1)》Chapter Thirty-Three

I went to take Mandy out on a date and we went to this county club where they offered to such awesome food.

Mandy had ordered a steak and I did, too. Mandy and I's steak looked so greasy, good, and delicious as soon as the waiter handed our food.

Our steak even came with a side of a giant loaded potato, with some sour cream, and sprinkled American cheese.

"I'm having a good time, how about you?" Mandy asked, smiling.

"Yeah, I'm having a great time, too," I answered back to Mandy, smiling.

I cut my steak with a steak knife, and I cut it in half; then into square pieces. I took a bite of my steak, and as soon as Mandy took a bite of her steak, we both could taste how amazing the steak tasted and how the flavor was so delicious.

"I don't know how long it's been since I had a real steak like this one," I said to Mandy.

"Yeah? I haven't had a steak in forever either," Mandy answered back.

I chuckled, smiling, and after we finished eating, Mandy and I decided to have a conversation that lasted for a couple of hours.

As I was holding Mandy's hand, we were both walking up to my car. As soon as we got to the car, Mandy and I were chatting about how much I loved her red long dress, and red high heels. Mandy had her hair up in a bun and was wearing some make up.

"You look absolutely stunning tonight," I said to Mandy.

Mandy chuckled, "Well you look like a million bucks, and I look forward to another date with you some time later."

I sighed, "I guess I do look good," I said, chuckling,, laughing, flirting and being funny to Mandy. Mandy laughed, and she and I kissed on the lips.

"Oh, that was a good kiss," I said to Mandy,

"Yeah?" Mandy asked, chuckling, "Well you're a great kisser," Mandy said to me, continuing to laugh..

"I guess you could say I am a good kisser, I haven't kissed a girl since my prom in high school," I said.

"Yeah? I guess the other girlfriend didn't have any idea what she was capable of doing with her dating life," Mandy said, chuckling once again.

I didn't know how to tell Mandy about my cancer's return. I didn't want Mandy to think I was going to die so soon. But I have to tell her, before it's too late. I have to tell Mandy the truth.

"Um, so you told me you had something to tell me," Mandy said, wondering.

"Um, yeah," I said, nodding my head.

"What is it?" Mandy asked.

I took a deep breath and sighed, I then started stuttering in anticipation of what I was going to say to Mandy.

"What's it you're going to tell me?" Mandy asked.

"Uh, um, I-I don't-I..." Mandy could tell something was off, and she took her finger as I was looking down and Mandy lifted my head, and I look straight at Mandy's face.

"What's wrong?" Mandy asked, softly.

I sighed once again, I looked away from Mandy for a little moment before I turned facing Mandy once again and I eventually told her I was sick.

"Oh, um, we can go ahead and go home, I don't mean to....." I interrupt Mandy.

"No, um, I–I went to see an oncologist not to far from where I live," I said to Mandy.

"What?"

I sighed, "I found out a month ago, and I-I didn't want to tell you because I didn't want you to think less of me and I didn't want you thinking that I was going to die of something bad so soon, because I have so much to live for."

Mandy chuckled, and she began to feel bad for me, "Ryan, oh my goodness, I am so sorry," Mandy said to me, softly.

"It's okay," I answered back.

"Are you in pain? What about the trial of your brother's?"

"I told my doctor that I am withholding treatment for a while. I need to focus on saving my own brother first, and I don't want Jacob to lose his life because of some thing I know he's not responsible for," I explained to Mandy.

Mandy nodded, understanding me, and Mandy looked upset, down and furious.

"I'm sorry, I don't mean to upset you, I really wanted to tell you, I just thought you might, I thought you might think less of me because I'm sick," I said.

"Ryan, you're amazing, and a wonderful boyfriend, and mentor. I don't think less of you because of your illness, I'm just-I'm just stunned, and I am so sorry you were feeling that way," Mandy said to me.

I took a deep breath, closing my eyes, and sighing, then I spoke to Mandy again, "I don't think I can go through something like this again, especially since Jacob's trial is coming up soon," I said to Mandy.

Mandy nodded her head once again, and she stroked my hair, sighing and looking at me furiously.

"I am here for you now and I'm here for you until we can beat this battle together, rather it's your brother's trial or your illness," Mandy said, softly smiling.

"Are you sure?"

Mandy nodded once again, and I understood Mandy who was agreeing to stay with me after I had told her about my cancer diagnosis.

I did tell Mandy my story when I had cancer at fourteen and went in remission at sixteen. Mandy was being very supportive of me, and that's why I love Mandy, she understands that I am very sick.

But Mandy didn't want to see me as a person who was sick, Mandy looked at me as a person who's a good brother, friend, son, and more.

I was appreciative of Mandy for being a great girlfriend. I wouldn't want to end up being with another woman, because Mandy was the one who I wanted to be with.

Mandy Rose Butler, the woman I think I want to marry. Mandy and I have been in a relationship for about five months now.

I think my relationship with Mandy was one of the best relationships I've ever had. Aside from the fact I been in a relationship before with other women, Mandy was the only woman who was treating me with love and affection.
