《Law of God (Book 1)》Chapter Seven

I eventually spoke with Benjamin later this week. The cold weather was beginning to affect the whole state of North Dakota.
Benjamin explained to me how he was gonna have to work with Jacob's case. I had explained to Benjamin about Jacob being a suspect of a crime.
"I am so sorry about your brother," those were the exact words coming from Benjamin, feeling sorry for me and Jacob. I guess it felt good to have someone understand what I was going through.
The whole town of West Fargo, a city in Cass County, North Dakota, United States were staring at Jacob and I when we head into town. West Fargo is the fifth largest city in the state of North Dakota with a population of 38,626, and it is one of the state's fastest growing cities.
It makes Jacob uncomfortable for people to stare at him. I would be more concerned if Jacob was being beaten up by someone who only see Jacob as a killer.
Mr. and Mrs. Miller were not even speaking to me anymore. I felt like my world was being lost.
Sometimes going to places, rather it's a grocery store, a public restaurant, a mall, or wherever, people constantly talk behind our backs, and I never thought in a million years I would be the parent of a child who's convinced of a murder.
I sighed, as I entered this library to pick up an important book I wanted to read. The librarian woman was looking at me, and so were other people. I just ignored them, and I went searching for a book called The Tale Of Two Cities.
The Tale Of Two Cities is one of Jacob's favorite books to read. Jacob needed the book for an assignment for English class, and I went to the library to pick up the book for him.

It felt hard to breathe and catch my breathe as people were staring. I felt like I was being watched. I wanted to hide so bad. The whole town knew who I was, since I am one of the best attorneys in town of West Fargo.
I was also on the billboard.
As soon as I marched down the street after leaving the library myself, I had the book in my hand. The book was to be returned on October 10th. I got into my car, and I was in a rush to go back home, I don't work on Saturday's.
Mrs. Baker was Jacob's nanny, and she was watching Jacob for the day. It is her job to come over every weekend to help with Jacob with his homework. I sighed, walking my way back inside the house, and it was cold outside. I took off my sweater, and I was wearing some comfy clothes. I had on a pair of black sweatpants, a college t-shirt underneath my sweater, and a pair of Adidas tennis shoes.
"Ryan, is that you?" Mrs. Baker asked, wondering. Mrs..Baker was in the dining room sitting at the table, and Jacob was working on a math assignment.
"Yeah, I am here," I said, as I walked into the dining room, and I handed the book to Jacob.
Jacob thanked me, grabbing the book from me. "You're welcome," I answered back. Jacob smiled, and I asked Mrs. Baker how Jacob was doing so far with his homework.
"Oh, he's doing wonderful, I barely don't have to help with anything anymore," Mrs. Baker said.
I sighed, and understood shaking my head. I had something else on my mind. Mrs. Baker looked at me weirdly, and I looked at Mrs. Baker like she knew I had something on my mind.

"Are you okay?" Mrs. Baker asked.
"Yeah, I am good," I said, before walking my way into the kitchen.
Mrs. Baker stood up from the chair, and she started walking up to me. I was leaning over the sink, and I been thinking about Jacob's trial. I was scared for Jacob, and Mrs. Baker doesn't know about Jacob's trial.
Mrs. Baker stood next to me, and she laid a hand on my shoulder. "What's going on? I know there is something you are willing to talk about," Mrs. Baker said.
I took a deep breath and sighed, I looked at Mrs. Baker and I told her it was nothing. Mrs. Baker just looked at me like I did have something to talk about. I scoffed, and rolled my eyes, and I turned facing Jacob as I leaned backwards against the sink, crossing my arms.
Mrs. Baker was waiting for me to say something. I didn't know how to explain to Mrs. Baker about Jacob's situation.
"What is going on, my love?" Mrs. Baker asked.
I kept on thinking on how to explain to Mrs. Baker about Jacob being accused of a crime. I told Mrs. Baker, eventually. Mrs. Baker deserved to know.
"Oh, honey, I am so sorry," Mrs. Baker said, furiously.
I sighed, stroking my hair.
"Is there anything I can do?" Mrs. Baker asked.
"No, you have done so much for me and Jacob. I don't want you feeling like you're responsible for everything that we are experiencing," I said to Mrs. Baker.
"I am willing to help, if you need me to," Mrs. Baker said.
"Thank you, I appreciate it, but no, I am sorry," I answered back.
Mrs. Baker sighed, and she asked me if Jacob was being accused of what happened to Izza.
I shook my head, "Yeah," I said, softly. Mrs. Baker understood. "Oh my goodness, poor Jacob. Ugh, I just can't even imagine how hard it must be for you."
"It's very hard, ya know?"
"Yeah," Mrs. Butler said, softly smiling at me.
"I don't know what I am going to do. I have to wait to see what my private investigator says," I said, facing back the window of my kitchen sink.
"I'll be praying for you," Mrs. Butler said.
"Thanks," I answered back.

Long Island
Long Island was not the first virtual reality game or to say a VRMMORPG. Not the one which changed the world and became a legend. No, it was made when there were lots (quite a few) of virtual reality games already on the market. Each game had its own unique AI feature, its own unique adventure, promising everyone a chance to become King, if not a God. In such a time Long Island was made. Just a little different, just a little unique. A normal guy was starting his own adventure, in life and in game.Note - Adding a cover made by someone I connected through wattpad: @DameCarnelian. Just a warning, it is not an accurate representation. The ship is not Raka's ship so avoid any confusion in that regard.
