《Law of God (Book 1)》Chapter One

I marched my way into Jacob's bedroom. Jacob is my little brother. Jacob was having trouble getting up, "Hey Jacob, it's time for school," I said, opening the curtains. I explained to Jacob about how exciting school can be. Jacob moaned.
Jacob and I get along well. Jacob and I have always gotten along. I love him like he is my own son. I promised my parents that I would take good care of Jacob if anything bad happens.
I can think back to the day when Jacob and I's parents used to be alive. Now I am raising Jacob as my own. It's frustrating sometimes to raise an autistic person.
People don't understand what it's like to raise a kid with autism. Jacob is autistic.
I walked into the closet, figuring out an outfit for Jacob. I grabbed a pair of jeans, a t-shirt with Jacob's favorite sports logo on it, some underwear, socks and shoes.
I had taken all the items with me, and Jacob was being so good about patience.
Jacob is hyperactive, but a very smart kid. I sighed, Jacob went inside the bathroom and started the shower. Jacob is very sensitive when it comes to smells.
Jacob somewhat knows how to take care of himself. I don't usually have to deal with Jacob most of the time. Jacob is always good about making his bed, after showering and getting dressed.
Jacob is fourteen, almost fifteen, I look forward to seeing Jacob living a normal life as he gets older.
As I was outside waiting for the school bus, Jacob was going through another hyperactive phase.
I was being patient with Jacob, at least that is what I was taught in a parent training class for parents with autistic children.
The school bus has arrived, and I told Jacob to have a good first day. Jacob does pretty well with riding the school bus on his own. Jacob does tend to get nervous, and people pick on my brother due to his learning disability.

It makes me sad that people aren't careful with Jacob sometimes because he's very sensitive due to his autism.
I sighed, walking my way back to the house and I started to prepare for work.
I had to prepare myself on how I can manage to take care of Jacob and go to work at the same time.
I have days when I'm exhausted, and I just wished I had a day where I can just have some time for myself.
I then realized that I have a child to take care of, and Jacob comes first before anything else.
Izza Miller and David Matthews are Jacob's two best friends.
Izza and David understands when it comes to Jacob's autism.
Izza and David promised to take care of Jacob like he's their brother. It made me feel so good how David and Izza were understanding about Jacob's condition.
I yawned on my way out of the house, I marched to my car, and unlocked it with my keys.
Jacob was heading to class, along with David and Izza. Jacob's favorite teacher was his special education teacher, Mrs. Joanna.
Before I met Mrs. Joanna when Jacob had started kindergarten, Jacob was diagnosed with autism around pre- school.
Joanna has always been supportive of Jacob, and Mrs. Joanna understands what it's like to raise a child with a learning disability. Mrs. Joanna has a daughter with autism. Her daughter's name is Tessa.
Jacob seemed pretty happy about starting his first day of high school. Jacob was excited and Jacob loves to learn.
Jacob's favorite subject is history because he thinks that it's very unique. Jacob has an IEP, also known as Individualized Education Program.
It's a struggle for Jacob to get through school. That is why I got Jacob a nanny named Mrs. Baker, who helps Jacob with his homework.
Mrs. Baker is from Illinois. Mrs. Baker has been a nanny for ten years. I appreciate everything Mrs. Baker does for Jacob and I. I feel the same way about Mrs. Joanna.

She was running out of breath, but that didn't matter, all that mattered was getting away from him and proving him wrong. Branches scraped her face and her arms, her body burning hot; but cold from her sweat as the wind blew over her skin. Her pants soaked from running through the streams, her shirt ripped to shreds around her stomach from very low hanging branches. Her hair, a tumbling fiery mess of tangles, and waves slipping through the ponytail she had quickly fastened trying to tame her wild hair. Running and crawling on the ground through the forest floor, trying to get back to the camp grounds so Whhooossshhhh! All of a sudden a giant gust of wind flew past her nearly lifting her off the ground and throwing her into a tree. Where in the world did that wind come from? She thought, but she kept running like it had never happened. She jumped over a fallen log, ignoring the fact that she almost fell in the process. She zoomed past all the trees and sprinted over the roots coming out of the ground. She rounded another tree coming to a sudden halt at seeing him standing there with a drink in his hand laughing and joking. She stood there wondering how in the world he could have beaten her here; He looked at her then, He looked, well, handsome, his faced was clean shaven and his button up shirt was all unbuttoned minus the three at the bottom. She could still visibly see his bronze chest and the top of his ripped-hard abs. He walked over to her and smiled, showing all of his teeth, the smile reaching his eyes. His eyes were dark and stormy, their color was usually a nice honey brown but now his eyes looked mid-night black. They looked like they could kill a man at eighty paces, but could sweep a woman off her feet at the same time.

A/N: I was like 19 when I wrote this book. It's not my best work. 😭 Genesis Carter and Jeremiah "East" Wright thought that they had life all figured out until they met each other. Their romance was slow but sure, bringing a world of chaos along with it. Will they defy the odds and hold each other down? Or will unfortunate circumstances break them apart?
