《Emotionless Princess》Chapter 38

Gabriel wanted to meet Eurielle for once and have a serious talk with her.

He wanted to know why he was feeling that way towards her.

He actually didn't know what to feel about Eurielle. He was just bothered by her.

That's why he sent a letter to figure things out....

That was the plan.

Just when he was about to go near the clock tower, he saw Eurielle. At the perfect moment.

But in a different appearance.

She just fell from the sky.

Her body lay flat on the ground and her eyes were slowly closing. All the impact landed on her back.

Fresh blood started scattering mainly from her head.

"Eu-Eurielle-" He was too shocked to move an inch from where he was standing.

'This wasn't supposed to happen-'

How did she fall? Did she jump deliberately or someone pushed her?

Why?

"Your highness!"

Gabriel turned around and saw Abigail.

"Abigail-"

*Gasp* "What happened? Why is Lady Eurielle-"

'Ahhh, she finally died.' Abigail celebrated as she saw Eurielle's body. 'That knight did a great job.'

These were only her thoughts but her face wasn't showing it.

"I-Is she dead?" Her acting was pefect.

"I don't know. I was just about to meet her when suddenly, she just fell like that. It wasn't my fault. Abigail, it wasn't me-"

Abigail gave the prince a hug and comforted him.

"Shh, don't worry, your highness. It's not your fault."

"What do we do? What if somebody finds out-"

"It's alright, I'll take care of this, your highness."

"Y-You will?"

The prince was out of it. It was like he was manipulated completely by Abigail. Her magic was effective.

"Let us leave first."

'Everything is going perfect. This is an accident. I'll make sure it will seem that way.' Abigail restrained herself from jumping out of joy.

For now, she needed to calm her prince charming.

After all, she will have her happy ending soon.

'I will get that happy ending no matter what.' She glared.

The prince couldn't look at Eurielle anymore.

The incident when she fell kept replaying in his mind that he didn't know what to do.

"Let's go, your highness."

Abigail grabbed his hand and they walked speedily towards the imperial palace...

Suddenly, a presence that belonged to a high mage appeared.

Asterion showed up. Right after Abigail and the prince left.

Earlier...

Asterion was reading the background of few corrupt nobles.

Since he joined the plan to commit treason and make Eurielle the ruler, he was currently investigating about the other side of the noble's faction.

Suddenly, one ball from his bracelet cracked.

"!!!"

He already knew that one broken bead would mean that Eurielle is somehow in danger.

After the recent bracelet was broken by Eurielle, he gave her a new one and replaced it.

"!!!"

But why did all the beads break?

Immediately, he teleported to where Eurielle was.

But...

"Ha- what is this?" He clutched his hair.

Eurielle and blood.

He wished that he was just hallucinating right now.

This view was too much.

He walked towards her and slowly picked her up. He carried her in a bridal style.

Eurielle's left arm fell on the air, as if there was no strenght applied to it.

Asterion felt his hands getting wet from something red and sticky. The blood kept leaking from her head.

"Eurielle." He tried to wake her up.

But there was no response from her.

She was just sleeping peacefully. Just like the same view that Asterion always saw when he checked her every night.

He leaned his ear on her left chest to check if he could still hear some heartbeat.

*Thump*

*Thump*

But there was none. Asterion could only hear his very own heartbeat which was very loud.

It felt like he was falling in an endless abyss.

"No." He gasped.

He needed to save her.

She can't die.

No, he needs to make sure that she doesn't die at all. She needs to live. She must live.

But the question is,

Who the f'ck did this to her?

Asterion's bloodlust was all over the area.

As he turned around to see where the rustling sound came from, he saw the crazy dog.

Theo arrived.

The Grand Duke ordered him to look for Eurielle using his strong physical sense.

And he was able to know ehere Eurielle waa because he knew her scent way too much. Tracking her was an easy feat for him.

He was about to cuss as to why the slave bastard was there but his expression went bright as he saw Eurielle.

"Rie-!" Theo was about to greet her but when he saw blood on her dress, he halted his steps.

"Ri-Rielle?"

Not only that but he also saw a pool of blood not far from where Asterion was standing.

Theo's whole aura darkened.

He glared at Asterion.

Both Asterion and Theo shifted their attention to the voice who came from the clock tower.

The same knight who just pushed Eurielle just descended from the stairs and was holding a dagger.

When the knight saw Eurielle in Asterion's arms, he held the dagger with force and sprinted towards them. He was ready to kill her.

"Khaghck-"

But before it happened, Theo gripped the knight's neck. Just like how the knight choked Eurielle but only with one hand.

Theo used both of his hands to choke him and applied all the strength he had.

"GURGHK-"

"Ah, it broke." Theo mumbled as he looked at the blood in his hands.

The knight's neck blasted from the pressure. Theo did it as if it was a normal thing.

Now, the knight's head was separated from the body.

Theo turned around and shifted his attention back to Eurielle.

"Rielle, I punished him for you. Pat me?" He held her hand that was hanging on the air earlier.

Her hand was cold. The warmth that Theo felt from her a few days ago was suddenly gone.

*Drip* A tear eascaped his eye.

"Haha. Rielle, your hand is cold."

Theo's eyes landed on her blood and he felt his heart being wrinkled endlessly.

"Rielle, wake up." He kissed her hand.

"I'm bringing her to the tower. I will heal her." The light in Asterion's eyes was gone.

"Wait- bring me with you-"

"You tell the grand duke about this. I'm leaving."

Asterion left Theo alone. He didn't bother teleporting with him at all.

On the other hand, Theo was still standing in the same place where he held Eurielle's hand.

"No... Rielle." He wanted to see her.

He glanced at the blood that was splattered in the ground.

As he walked close towards it, he knew it from glance that she fell. From that tower.

And that knight he just killed, was the suspect.

But there was another thing that was currently ringing inside Theo's head.

"You need to die for Lady Abigail."

"....."

Theo stepped towards the knight's fallen head.

He kept stomping on the head till it was unrecognizable.

Next, he unsheathed his sword and chopped the body into pieces. Just like he was cutting a soft piece of meat.

Theo blankly looked at it as if it was dust.

He needed something to direct his anger at. An object for revenge.

He grinned.

That name was familiar.

The last time he heard it was when Eurielle fell in the lake.

To think that he let go of that matter just because he got swayed by Eurielle's lovely statement at the moment. He should've just ripped Abigail into pieces at that time.

He regretted not punishing Abigail early. It was a wrong move for him.

But everything changed.

Theo sheathed back his sword after he was satisfied with the cutting and all. He reeked of blood.
