Two Warriors

Rasen’s part (lvl 155, Sigil Knight Commander U)

We wake up from a good night’s sleep and start traveling again. During the night, I got the message that the battle is over, so instead of going through the tundra, I decided to go around most of it. Catie seems a little fatigued by yesterday’s journey, but is reluctant to delay any minute by halting. Soon we will cross the Runaenian-North Sentinel border. Our destination for today is Sencalaria, a city 80 km south from Sentria (Capital of North Sentinel Republic). It’s a relatively safe place with a lot of inns. It’s famous for its beautiful mountains and natural waterfalls.

“Oh, I see a flag there!” Catie exclaims.

“It must be a border to the North Sentinel Republic.” I reply.

Border between Runaenia and the North Sentinel Republic is not well guarded, as both countries are sort of whatever and aren't that dangerous. We can easily pass after just saying our names and reasons. As we get close to the guards near the border, one of the guards asks

“What is your name, and why are you going to the North Sentinel Republic?”

“I am Rasen Lolrena, and this is Catie Shanspire. We are going to Lolrena, and are just passing through.” I say as I point to Catie at my left side. Which makes the guard have a curious face. She starts to say something with a cheerful voice.

“Whoa, Rasen, very honored to see you. I gotta warn you though, FGU has closed the border between it and Lolrena due to the recent Tal invasion in Liria, you gotta go to FGU’s capital and get a special permit to enter Liria. Or you could forcefully enter seeing your Rasen, but that would create unnecessary tension between Lolrena and FGU.”

“Alright guess I will go to Royal Wood tomorrow.” I answer with a curt nod.

Then, all of a sudden she says something very unexpected, “Okay, great. Can I come too?”

“Mmm… why do you even want to come to a battlefield?”

“Cause I love adventures! I want to fight the Tal empire too.”

“You know that you might even die… right?”

“Yes, but I probably won’t because I am so overpowered.”

“What class even are you?”

She starts smirking, which makes me more curious. Couple seconds later she opens her mouth and says,

“I am a Fire specialized Sigil ultra class.”

Wait, wait a second. Fire specialized Sigil? Really?

“Wait… then you must be at least level 81… since it requires you to max warrior base and sigil super, then get at least 25 levels in fire elemental super class.”

“Yes, that’s correct, I am level 113.”

“How did you get level 113 while being a border guard?”

“Border guard is what I just do to find adventures. Adventuring alone is boring, you know. I am vice leader of the North Sentinel border guard, but the leader does most of the managing work, and I just go adventuring when I can.”

“Who’s the leader?” I ask my last question.

“Jenan Shanspire”

As soon as she says this, Catie exclaims and shouts.

“Whoa, my parents are part of house Shanspire.”

“I can guess, this is why I was surprised to hear that you are Catie Shanspire.”

This was very interesting, and all. However I forgot to ask the most important question. So I asked my REAL last question.

“Okay, this is actually my final question.”

“Bring it on!”

“What is your name?”

“REALLY, THAT is your LAST QUESTION?”

Catie’s part (lvl 7 inventorial S)

We had a talk with a border guard, she said her name is Flame Tail. I have read about a house Tail in a history book. House Tail played an important role in the formation in the Sentrian Republic (1536 ~ 1661), however after its demise, it has been the middle size house since. It happens that the Flame Tail is actually the Deputy of the house Tail. Also consider that she is vice leader of the North Sentinel border army, she must be good at being second in command, or maybe she just doesn’t care about all those things and the only reason she has those titles is because she is strong, and she likes those titles.

Houses aside, I know that she is famous in the North Sentinel Society if not very important. Maybe she is sort of like a celebrity. I saw her in a visual transmitter show before, it was a show about solving challenges and going through obstacles. Many representatives from many countries competed against each other, and Flame Tail actually got 2nd place in the show. That show was a big hit, and since then Flame Tail was everywhere in the North Sentinel’s online community. It is true I am Kalanian, and use the Kalanian online community the most, but I also hang out in the North Sentinel’s online society. Whenever I went to the roguecord servers based on North Sentinel, everybody would talk about how cool, cute, brave, strong, and amazing Flame Tail were. Flame Tail, a natural seen stealer became a national celebrity about a year ago. She is still famous, but not as much as a year ago. Mainly because she doesn’t show up in the visual transmitter most of the time due to constant adventures she is having. At least she has a Connecta channel where she posts her adventure video logs. She has 3 million subscribers, which makes her the most popular rogiter in the North Sentinel Republic. Obviously, the 3 million subscribers aren’t only from the North Sentinel Republic, Flame Tail’s channel is well known throughout the whole continent. However, this channel didn’t go unnoticed by other progressors. Some of the progressors didn’t want their progression secrets to be released to the world, they started to hate Flame Tail. However this didn’t stop Flame Tail from making adventure videos, due to this now Flame Tail has not only a lot of fans but also some enemies. She couldn’t care less about it though.

“What are you thinking about?” Flame suddenly says.

“Huh?”

“You seemed to be deep in thought.”

“Oh mmm… nothing.”

“Alright. Just ask me if you have any questions.”

We are traveling to the Royal Wood now, the route to North Sentinel - FGU border was pretty safe, so we aren’t in a tight mood. Flame seems cheery about the new adventure, even after me and Rasen told her that she can’t record this adventure due to security reasons.

Suddenly Flame shouts,

“I can’t believe it! An adventure with the great Rasen! I am so sad that I can’t record this!” in a voice that seemed as far away as possible from sadness.

“Well, actually, rethinking about it, you can record it, but we will have to go through the videos before you post them in Rogity.”

“YESSSS THANK YOU RASEN!!!”

She takes out her camera while saying this. She attached one to her front head, and then she took out another camera. As soon as she throws it into the air, it disappears.

This… is so so surprising, so I ask her.

“Where did the camera go?”

“It’s recording me and my backside, it’s a magical camera so it is invisible and it can fly.”

“That’s so cool! How much does it cost?”

“30000 silvers.”

“Mmm… okay that is so expensive;;; I definitely can’t buy it. Even if I save my allowance for 100 years.”

“Why do you want one?” Flame asks in a curious voice.

“I want to take adventure videos like you and post them on Rogity.”

“Hmm… Alright, if this adventure video gets 100 million views, I will buy it for you.”

“That is impossible!”

100 million views is an insane amount of views. Most popular video of Flame has 38 million views now. It was a video about traveling to the lawlessland of Coastal Republic and surviving there for a week. It was a 6 hour long video, and it got many views because many people were curious about the lawlessland of Coastal Republic. I saw that video 20 times, obviously not the whole video each time, but only the important parts. Flame fought 38 people and won all of them during the week. She jailed 10 people, and almost died twice. The best part though, wasn’t related to battles. She explored the dangerous coastal cave full of monsters, and found a Dragon’s gift box. Her expression when she found the Dragon’s gift box was unforgettable. That became a meme and went around the internet everywhere more than once.

“It is possible!” Flame starts to argue then adds, “This adventure is much better than the lawlessland one. Many of the Rogity watchers hate Tal empire, this video is going to be so VIRAL!”

I hope it goes viral. I think to myself.

“Wait, something’s off! Something’s wrong.” Rasen hisses in a whisper.

“What? What is wrong?” I say in panic.

“Don’t be loud.” Rasen whispers to me.

“Don’t worry, they won’t dare to attack me.” Flame reassures us.

Soon, I find out that she is right. People who were waiting to attack us just come out of the hiding and bow their heads to Flame after they realized it is her walking by our side.

“Dang, you must be very honored around here.” I say in a surprised voice.

“It’s not being honored, it’s being feared.” she replies with a harsh tone. Then she adds with a voice I never heard before in her rogity videos.

“World is a dangerous place, Catie. There are so many people who praise me in front but will do anything to cause my demise in my back.”

“I will remember that Flame.”

Glancing to my right, Rasen seems to be thinking to himself about what Flame said just now. Suddenly I became aware of what kind of company I have on this trip. To my right, there is Rasen, a sworn brother of Raven the protector of Lolrena. To my left, there is Flame, an adventure Rogiter with more popularity than I can even comprehend.

“I hope this isn’t a dream.” I murmur to myself as I start walking a little faster. Soon, I see 2 important figures at each side increasing their speed to match mine.
