3 days ago, in the morning at south of Magnus Forest; the location that Ilario got help from elves.

There are the broken carriage and the dead bodies of mercenaries. The knights checked the situation and surveyed the location around.

“The mercenaries were all died but we did not find the young lord, sir,” said a knight.

“Did you already checked the area nearby?” said a knight who was superior, mid-forties age, big, high muscle, dark brown hair, neat hairstyle and circle beard, brown eyes wearing knight armour.

“We were checking and will be report back, sir,” a knight said and left

“Did you find him?” asked a noble man, elite, late twenties age, handsome, tall, black and neat hair, light blue eyes, wearing noble cloth, he look serious worried.

“Not yet, the mercenaries were all died but still could not find body of Ilario.” said a superior knight.

“Uncle, please help find him, I could not detect his magic around here, I’m really worry, he still young,” said a noble man.

They were finding Ilario since morning until evening and found nothing even body. They felt hopeless but kept finding continually…

Back to present, in the elves’ village.

“Start from tomorrow, we will teach you the theory of magic including practice lesson. In the afternoon, you need the physical training and learning the combat fight including hunting without using magic power. The young elves, Lyra and Oliver would be in charge of training you,” said Queen Agnes, and explained more while walking back.

“First generation of young elves were born by elders magic, the men elves were born from apple trees, the women elves were born from flowers which absorbed magic energy from world tree in this field, that why the women elves had more magical power than the men elves. — We need young elves to be representatives when we have to meet humans outside the village, I casted strong barrier protection magic, no other races allowed to get into our village without my permission. They would not find the village entrance, the magic makes them go other ways, like they walked in the maze.”

“The young women elves are excellent in element magics and anchor, they are the warriors that have duty to protect our village and Magnus forest. The young men elves are excellent in crafting and hunting, they are responses for trading with human outside. — Young elves could be ageing but their life span much longer than human race. They also have more magic power than humans.”

Queen Agnes and Ilario reached to The Queen’s Treehouse, Ms. Carina was waiting for Ilario, she was really kind and taken care Ilario really well.

“Please come here tomorrow morning. Mr. Mercury, will teach you for basic knowledge and magic theory,” said Queen Agnes and left.

“Did you get all of answers that you would like to know?” Ms. Carina asked kindly.

“Yes, thank you for always taking care of me. Err...I just knew my name, I’m Ilario and I think that I have to stay here for a while. If you have anything that I could help, please let me know. I would like to be some help for you,” said Ilario.

“It’s very kind of you. You have more important duties to do. I was really glad to support and take care of you. Please do not worry.” Ms. Carina answered and smiled kindly.

After finished lunch, Ilario was finding the books to read. Mostly were related to natural, agriculture, herbs, and crafting, Ilario presumed that the elves were the race that lives and maintains the natural themselves, nothing much related to human races in this bookshelf. Ilario picked a book name, The History of Magnus Forest, it would better for him to know more in details because he has to stay here for a while, he thought that the boy’s family might be worrying but for the future sake, he needed to stay here and make himself stronger.

‘The History of Magnus Forest’

‘Magnus Forest’ was a great forest of the South world, rules by Queen Agnes, the queen of elves, to manage and balance the natural of the South world.

‘Magnus Forest’ has been around since the beginning of this world, Queen Agnes set boundaries area for human race since the ancient time, they could develop the villages and the cities by themselves without touching the center of ‘Magnus Forest’ and the village of elves. After set boundaries for human race ‘Magnus Forest’ was remained area which surrounding the North and east part of human cities at south world.

‘Magnus Forest’ has plenty of trees, especially Olive Trees and Apple Trees. It was the land that could plants any kind of trees and good for agriculture. There was long river which never dry.

There were 4 seasons, winter, summer, spring and autumn. It was rather warm weather due to the South world was connect to “Meridiem Sea” at the South part.

The elves have responsibility to protect Magnus Forest, to keep natural cycles and protect the Forest from any invasions of any races, especially the village area. Magnus Forest was the source of lives and magic energy, without it, the world could be easily destroyed. The strict protection needs to process continually.

There were plenty of herbs in Magnus Forest, some was useful for making medicine, some was poison. The more description was written on the book name “The herbal knowledge”

“There was nothing much related to humans, I presumed that the elves were special race that compatible with natural. By the way, I could understand them because most of humans were selfish and greedy, if they knew the plenty of this Forest, they surely make it to their profit,” thought Ilario.

The sun was set, Ms. Carina prepared dinner for Ilario as usual. He ate it as much as he could because he needs his body to grow up fast. He felt exited for the lesson tomorrow and went to bed early after bathed.

The next day, Ilario went to Queen Agnes’s treehouse as the schedule. He saw a high elf waiting for him, he guessed that his name was Mr. Mercury. Actually, Ilario could not remember his name if Queen Agnes did not tell him yesterday, all of high elves have the same face, just slightly different.

“Good morning,” said Ilario.

“Hello, we met yesterday. My name is Mercury. If you could not separate us, you could see the magic symbol of our hands, I have wing symbol on my hand,” smiled Mr. Mercury while showing his hand.

“Thank you for your kindness,” said Ilario, he thought that Mr. Mercury might have ability to read his mind.

“Today I will teach you the basic of magic theory. As you might know, the magic power was the special power given by Athena Goddess, we called ‘Magic Core’. There is also natural energy, we called ‘Magic Energy’ it was occurring from natural and circulating around us. The people who can use magic power, we called them ‘Magus’. The people who can use both of magic power and combat skill, we called them ‘Bellator’ they use magic power with weapon for fighting. The magic theory would be based on Magus because there were more details than Bellator.” said Mr. Mercury and explained more.

“Magus that got Magic Core from Athena Goddess directly or Magus that inherited Magic Core from their ancestors could activate magic power; Magic Energy are the energy that could help for power boost up. In one principle; no magic core, the magic power could not activate even there are Magic Energy around. The people who have no Magic Core, we called them ‘Ordinarius’”

“The basic of Magic Core were 4 elements, water, wind, earth, fire; it compatible to Magic Energy in the same element. For example, The Magus who have Wind Magic Core; when they stay in the area that have high energy of Wind, they could increasing their magic power up to 25% of their Magic Core, meanwhile, when they stay in area that have low energy of wind or the area that have other energy against its power, in this case, the area that had plenty of earth; their Magic Core still effective but it could not against the stronger of earth magic core or the area that have high density of earth.”

“Normally, The Magus of human race; men could handle one of fire, wind or earth Magic Core but women could handle both of wind and water Magic Core because the physical body of women were more compatible with natural than men, meanwhile, the races that handle more than one of element; they could mix power and activate new type of magic power. For example, The Magus who have Magic Core of Water and Wind, they could activate Ice and storm magic power; they could mix it like natural law but need to practice. The more elements, the more magic power that could mix and create.”

“The light and dark Magic Power were rare, no pure human race could handle the power, it was powerful type of magic and special gift which given by Gods or Goddesses. For example, you who are descendant of Helius that had high power of light Magic Core from the beginning and you also inherited the light Magic Core and the strong physical body; it means that you could you handle light magic power which using against the dark magic power; the dark magic power mostly belongs to evils, devils and monsters.”

“Magic Core is power source, the higher power of Magic Core, the higher magic power that could be activated.”

“Power of Magic Core gathered in heart and circulating in parallel of blood vessel of physical body. The Magus could release magic out of body when using; the physical stamina was one factor to handle Magic Core, weak body could not handle high power of Magic Core, it could cause the life damage to death. More importantly, Magus that had high power of Magic Core, need to practice and control their power to not be explode from over power; the more power the more damage.”

“Do you have any question?” asked Mr. Mercury.

“Cloud you please explain more of healing and time magic power?” asked Ilario curiously.

“Healing, Holy and Time magic power were special gift from Goddess, there is no natural energy support and Its power were unique. For example, the Healing Magic Power; ‘Instant Heal’ its ability that heal all injured of physical body, there were also other power related; ‘Recover’, its abilities were recover from sickness, poison, or others that damage from other factors to physical body; ‘Regenerate’, its ability that regenerate body that has been destroyed or cut off; ‘Resistant’, its abilities were increasing resistant from any damages and poisons; ‘Inactivate’ its ability was inactivate or cancel magic power, it was advance ability and need a lot of practice. There were 5 main abilities of Healing Magic Power but you could adapt more abilities which base on the main abilities.” Mr. Mercury explained.

“Any question? If not, we will finish today class, you might need some rest before physical training this afternoon. Please read this book when you have free time.” said Mr. Mercury while handed a book to Ilario, the book name “How to kill the monsters”

“Thank you. Sir,” Ilario answered shortly, he understood for basic theory explanation but it was better to be practice.
