before i begin the review, make sure to go follow and check out this story for yourself!
alright, let's get started with the ratings.
- cover & blurb: 10/10
- plot & character development: 10/10
- dialogue & description: 10/10
- grammar: 10/10
- creativity: 10/10
first of all, i'm almost ANGRY that the very first review is a complete 50/50. i was envisioning all the ways i would be harshly grading these books and it just so happens that the very first book in the queue is an absolute gem. how dare you.
but in all seriousness, i honestly had completely different expectations going into this one. it's an unfortunate habit of mine to dismiss the #1 advice for readers and judge books by their covers anyway, (fatal flaw, i know) and this one was just so random that i forced myself to read before scoring your cover. but i'm glad i did because now i realize that it's supposed to make zero sense.
obviously, humor/comedy books aren't going to be for everyone. i didn't expect to like it because of that, but the satirical, ridiculous kind of humor that is completely embedded into your story is just so addicting. both the plot and character development are very fast-paced, which would usually turn me off, but i feel that it suits the style of your book very well. i love the number of plot twists in just the first five chapters, along with the immediate vibes we get from your characters. plus, the chapter length is perfect—engaging, entertaining, and exciting.
it's a solid book, really.
the dialogue, both internal and spoken, has such well-crafted comedic timing it's almost unbelievable. the way the characters interact with each other so organically, yet still so ironically to be made genuinely hilarious, is truly an art. there is such a perfect balance between comedy, content, and substantial description and i love it. not to mention i physically laughed out loud multiple times because of the pure absurdity; i really enjoyed the first five chapters of this book and i would love to keep reading.

amazing job! i have no real constructive comments for you outside of maybe some minor grammatical errors, but all that needs is some simple proofreading and you're all good.
it was an honor to review My Mate is a Greek God!
