No matter how angry he was. Xan knew that in his current position, he would be unable to do anything to Blorg. Not only was he physically stronger than Xan, but he also had the backing of the Yellow Blood Family.
In that situation, Xan could only lay low and slowly gather power until he could get revenge.
Before he continued cultivating, he decided to write a note that he put on the kitchen table. Rad had told him that he would come back in a few days, and if he planned to cultivate for a long time, he better leave a note for him just in case he decided to come.
After writing down that Rad could interrupt his cultivation when he arrived, Xan returned to his bed before sitting crosslegged again.
At this point, Xan could effortlessly cultivate for an hour without needing to rest. After that time, he would start to feel tired, and his efficiency would decrease over time, so he took that as a sign that he should rest.
When he opened his eyes, the first thing he realized was that Rad had not appeared. As he didn't know if he may still occur, Xan decided to prepare food and rest for a while before returning to cultivate.
Before he realized it, he was back to spending most of his time cultivating locked in his room.
Like that, twenty-four hours passed in a blink.
Xan would need to spit some black liquid from time to time when cultivating. According to Rad, those were the impurities blocking his dantian, which he purged from his body.
In the last few hours of cultivation, Xan felt the amount of black liquid had decreased considerably compared to the beginning, which meant that he was getting near to cleaning his dantian.

After those twenty-four hours, Xan felt something change while cultivating. Suddenly, the energy characteristics changed utterly, becoming colder than before.
Not knowing what was happening, Xan opened his eyes, only to find Rad in front of him.
"I see that you've been cultivating hard, kid." Rad said, surprised."But I told you not to cultivate endlessly. You should take rests and do other things than cultivating."
"I took a walk around the second area yesterday," Xan announced proudly.
"You should do something more. Please find a new hobby or something, but you shouldn't make cultivation the only aspect of your life, or else it will be much worse when you reach your first threshold. Also, doing other things helps you see your cultivation problems from different perspectives, which might help you solve them." Rad explained.
"That makes sense. I will try to find something to spend my time on then." Xan replied. "Oh, and how did you do that with the energy?"
"You mean the thing I did to let you know my arrival? I just sent some ice-energy toward you."
"Ice-energy? Is there more than one energy?"
Hearing those words, Rad realized there were still a lot of topics about which Xan didn't know anything.
"Right now, you can't perceive it as you can't use your dantian, but there are many types of energy. Usually, the types of energy are balanced, so you will not be able to discern any of them, but there are some places where some kinds are more abundant than others. We will discuss this more deeply once you finish your dantian's cleanse." Rad said." Anything else?"
"I may have found a way to get out of the fortress at night," Xan replied, smiling.

Seeing Rad's curious face, Xan began explaining all the details about the mushrooms' mission.
"Not a bad idea if it weren't for a small detail."
"Which is?"
"Your age. You are too young to accept those missions. It would be different if you were a fully functional cultivator, but now you are not even as dangerous as a commoner with a stick." Rad explained.
"What can I do then?" Xan asked, realizing his plan might not be as good as it seemed.
"Wait until you have cleaned your dantian. Once that has happened, you will see how your physical capacities have increased significantly, and you will be able to use some techniques to improve your destructive power." Rad said.
"I should continue focussing on cultivating then."
"Yes, it seems like it. Do you have any other questions?" the old man asked.
"I don't think so."
"Well, we can call it a day already, then. Remember, tomorrow we will celebrate another public class in the courtyard, so it would be great if you came."
"I will be there," Xan replied.
"Great, I will take my leave already then. See you tomorrow." Rad said as he turned toward the door and left.
Seeing how he was alone again, Xan couldn't think about one thing.
'Let's continue cultivating then.' Xan thought.
