After the beam blew away Arcane, came a loud roar from the direction where the beam came from. And soon temperature started to fall as if the winter had come early and was harsher than ever before. As Alen felt the chill in the air and felt the conditions of his own body he only had one thing to say.

“….Damned winged lizards….”

And so were the final moments of Alen Drakewind.

[In A Dark Space With No Light]

Two eyes opened as they shined within the darkness and then came a heavy voice.

“Wake up….. Wake up…… I SAID WAKE UP….. ”

“You…… You are my last purpose kid…..” continued the voice “I…. I shall not loose you when I have only just awoken from my slumber, not when I have so much to tell you.”

After the words ended, slowly green light emitted from the entity as its body slowly became visible as it stood on his hind limbs, wings protruding from its back as it gave the feeling of majesty. It slowly inhaled one long breath and then came a loud roar. With the roar the in this space came light as it uncovered the shallow water on which the entity, the dragon, was standing.

What came into view was a beautiful scene of sky and shallow water as if the sky was mirrored at the horizon.

Alas it didn’t last. The sky soon became red, and water, from it sprouted saplings which quickly grew up to become trees but died as soon as they grew, as their leaves withered and fall off into the water which turned murky.

“You may have died, my prince but death is not always the ending. Until you can be capable enough to hold yourself on your own let me do it for you”.

As the dragon said this, he slammed his front limps on the ground, a moment later huge chains came out of the ground and flew to the sky, as if to chain the sky. More and more chains tying the sky and ground together.

As if the world fixing itself the sky slowly returned to the clear blue it had earlier but everything suddenly came to a standstill as another entity came into the sight of the dragon. It was a humanoid entity which wore a tattered cloak, it slowly started walking towards the dragon. Wherever it stepped it started to turn black, water became too dark as if it was corrupted.

“Xenos… or should I call you Death. Here to do your job, huh?” said the dragon.

“Yes, and I wouldn’t have to come if not for your intervention…. tell me why have you interrupted the cycle of life and death.” Asked Death.

“Sorry its personal, and isn’t it your fault that he died…. You know I am talking about Arcane the ‘dead’ Calamity Dragon.” Said the dragon.

“It’s due to my incompetency that I can’t keep Arcane still but this young dragon is supposed to die at the moment so, it’s not my fault.” Replied Death.

“Is that so… then what about me? Am I supposed to be this way? My body dead and my soul stuck in this child.” Questioned the dragon.

“It’s true that you were not supposed to die, the body at least but your soul is stuck because of your own self.” Answered Death.

“Then let’s make a deal mine lost life span for his completed one. I will accept my fate in exchange of you letting him live?” offered the dragon.

“And why should I accept this offer, Acel? I am supposed to be impartial you know.” Argued Death.

“Oh, are you really that impartiality?… Xenos….. You know that you are not truly impartial and also you are not supposed to have karma related to anyone or anything.” Spoke Acel.

“Yes, I am impartial….. Mostly curiosity is such a crime made by gods, it gets everyone. Curiosity is the irony of gods.” Said Death “and even if I clear my karma with you I would have new karma with him.”

“Not if I take it as my own. You agree or you don’t agree?” said Acel.

“…” pondered Death. “I agree. You have three months to solve the karma before I return and say your hellos and your final goodbye.”

[In the wreckage of the house in Elementia]

Alen slowly woke up.

He stood up with some efforts and walked out of the house. What came into the view was utter destruction. What was left of the town during Arcane attack was now only wreakage.

“Damn it…” muttered Alen.

“Enjoying the scene kid? It’s the reality let it get over you or get over it” came a voice from behind.

Alen turned around to find a 6-foot-tall man standing behind him.

“The name is Acel.” Spoke the person.
