《A Tale of the Ages: Gods, Monster, and Heros》Where I have been.

Hi, Some of you, or maybe none of you, might be curious where I have been. Short answer, I've been stuck with a bad case of writers block for this story.
Long answer.
After posting the last chapter you all read, I spent a long while writing extremely rough drafts for what's to come next, and no matter how I messed with events, or how I tweaked conversations, it wasn't coming out in a manner that was up to my standards. Or, more accurately, It felt like the events where just point on a board, and I'd somehow lost where I wanted the events to go.
while that was going on, I got a new job, and for some reason, despite the job being easy, literally the type of job that anyone with working legs hands and arms could do, I found that it was stressing me out more than I thought it should. And that stress redoubled on my writers block to make it worse.
I never stepped thinking about my fiction, in fact I literally spent a good 30 or so minutes fantasising up a scene just before sitting down to type this. But that scene doesn't fit where the story is currently. In fact, I don't know when/if I'd ever get the chance to write that scene down. Remmeber I said that this story literally shifts under my fingers as characters personalities become more consistent in my head, and backstories become more relevant to what I"m doing. So by the time the relevant plot point shows up, I may end up writing something different.
All that said, I didn't want to just shove out chapters that amounted purely to narrated plot points, and I was, and still am facing difficulties with the current scenes. So I tried taking a break, and stopped typing anything all together.

But I don't think that was the correct choice.
I don't feel ready to resume. But I'm nowhere near ready to give up on this story.
Still, that might fall on deaf ears considering Web Novels authors do tend to write these types of messages, then literally vanish entirely never to be seen again. So as a show of good faith, I'm giving you all a chapter.
I wrote it in an attempt to give you all something that was relevant, but not a direct continuation of the previous scenes.
Do I know if it's good? Not at all.
Hell, it might literally be the worst chapter I've ever written, but it's something.
I'm gonna look into ways to improve my writing, and I'll try to keep you all in the loop better.
by the by, my house still isn't rebuilt from that fire, so that never helped anything.
expect that chapter within the week, I'm gonna look over it one more time, and schedule it for a quick release.

A Dearth of Choice (Dungeon Core)
A young dungeon core forms next to a lovely village, full of lovely people who would likely understand its plight of not wanting to murder them all if only it had a mouth with which to speak. Instead, everything goes horribly, terribly wrong. Its literally a crystal, it can't be having a panic attack, can it? This is the story about a village, a dungeon, its desire to provide light and laughter and life. It tries to choose the talents and perks to bolster its life-mana alignment every time, to further its cause. So how is it that it wound up with an undead army and some insane boosts to death-aligned mana? How did everything go so wrong? [participant in the Royal Road Writathon challenge]

Some mortals see dungeons as a plague to destroy. Some mortals see dungeons as a resource to manage and harvest. Some mortals see dungeons as a place to train and advance. However, all of them agree on something. Dungeons are unnatural and deadly. Places where death stalks every corner and monsters thrive. What mortals forget, in their hubris of tools and civilizations, is that Mother Nature is often the deadliest of all. Feel free to write any comment, suggestion, or criticism. I read and appreciate every single one! Releases are on Mondays and Thursdays. With occasional bonus chapters on Saturdays. Have a nice day ^^

Also available on Audible! After centuries of endless wars, the three greatest nations of the continent have come together in peace. As a symbol of their cooperation, they have worked together to establish the Grand Academy of Spiritual, Martial, and Arcane Arts, a place where the best and brightest of each nation can gather on neutral ground and share knowledge, techniques, and cultures. Can the peace truly last, or is the academy just another proxy for the constant conflicts the three nations face? None of that matters to Lee Jia, a homeless young girl who's biggest concern is surviving the winter. But when she accidentally stumbles into the academy in search of a new place to stay, her destiny is changed forever. Determined to carve out a new place for herself and make the most of her good fortune, Lee Jia dives head first into the world of magic and martial arts. Fates Parallel is my first serious attempt at writing a story, and a personal love letter to Eastern fantasy and xianxia stories. It's heavily inspired by East Asian culture, folklore, and mythology, with what is likely going to be a decidedly Western artistic license. I try to write every day, with a goal of about 45,000 words per month (~1500 per day). Chapter lengths are around 3000 words on average, releasing on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. Cover art drawn by the incredibly talented Tsuu (TsurotArtistry).

This is my first full creation I hope you enjoy. Shae was raised mostly by her parents, though she spent the summers at her Great grand uncles house since she was 5. He was a bit odd, though attentive, and taught her to have fun with skills long out dated. She solved puzzles, riddles, and learned to track. They enjoyed time in the woods living off the land. His house was beyond fun and games during the summer for a young girl who was taught to love adventures. Now years later she is about to find her own way to adventures she never dreamed of. And maybe, never wanted.
