《The Bartender at the End of the Universe》Ch 305: Creeping Around a Hot Chick

"Bbbbrah."
Nugget grumbled on her nest of blankets and pillows. All atop the large bed like a makeshift pyramid. While sitting there, she shifted and readjusted herself.
Her skin was almost completely covered by bandages. She looked more like a mummy than a chicken at the moment.
CREAK
The hinges groaned as the door to the room opened just a crack. A floppy ear slipped in, and was followed by a tiny demon.
Og'drimun, slid into the room and put his little paws on the door. But it wouldn't budge. He groaned as he shoved the door harder, but still it wouldn't close.
So, he flew up into the air, and to the other side of the room. He leaned back, and then flew forward as he tucked his head down.
Wham
Slam!
He crashed into the door headfirst, and was knocked back as the door was slammed shut by the force of his tackle.
He spun onto the ground and slowly sat up. His head spun around as he let out a pained groan.
Og'drimun shook his head and then slapped his cheeks. Then, he quickly looked up towards the bed.
"Oh no..." he whispered.
But as he peeked over the top of the bed, Nugget was still sleeping. He let out a relieved sigh and wiped his furry brow.
With slow, careful movements, he pulled himself up onto the mattress. It squeaked slightly under his weight. But, Nugget still didn't move.
With each step, the bed groaned under his weight. He winced with each movement. Then he stopped and let out a sigh before he slapped his forehead.
Instead of walking on the mattress, he flew up into the air. He circled around the wrapped chicken as he stroked his chin.
The tiny demon crossed his arms and frowned as his eyes scanned Nugget and her nest.

With a firm nod, he licked his lips and got right up next to Nugget. Slowly he reached his hand forward and slid it in-between her and and the comfortable bed.
He gulped, but kept reaching further and further down.
He lifted his eyes up to look at Nugget's face, but she was still sleeping. His eyes shifted from her and to her hips. Back to her face, and down to her hips again.
He took in a deep breath and shook his head as he let it out.
"Here goes nothing." He whispered to himself.
Then, he dove headfirst down the side between her body and the pillow blanket makeshift bed. He squeezed forward and down more and more, until his tiny body disappeared completely.
Nugget was moved up and down as Og'drimun crawled around underneath her.
"Dang it!" Ogdrimun yelled in anger as he shot up from underneath Nugget like a bullet.
He put his paws up on his face and slowly dragged them down in anguish. "Agh! Not a single egg? What's going on!"
Nugget's eye flung open and she turned it directly to the tiny demon.
Og'drimun had his back to her, but as her gaze settled on him, he froze in place. Slowly, he turned around and gave her a weak smile. "Uh? Meow?" He said.
Nugget glared at him and seemed to be daring him to come closer.
Og'drimun gulped and waved at her. "So, uh...I just thought I'd check on you. Yeah, that's it. Just a checkup. That's all. And what do you know? You're in perfect health."
Nugget shifted her missing leg underneath her and stretched up her neck even taller.
It felt like the temperature in the room had slowly started to increase.
"Right, well...I'm going to let you sleep, alright?" Og'drimun said. "I'll just get out of your hair...or, uh feathers. Hah. Hah."
And in a snap, Og'drimun bolted towards the door. Again, he slammed headfirst into it. But, quickly recovered and began to desperately tug at the handle until it finally released, and he shot out of the room.
Alone again, Nugget watched the door for only a moment before she readjusted and curled in on herself again.

GIG: God In Gold
So let's cut the pretense: this is some garbage-tier weaboo fiction. I have no idea what I'm doing, but I feel it's important to say that this is some nonsense I write for fun. I don't think it's very good. I'd even go as far as to say that I'm not a good writer at all. I picked up a ball that started rolling when I was a kid and have been intermittently punting it towards the next chapter whenever I feel like it. And you can come on this garbage ride too if you really feel like it. Who knows, maybe there's some gold to be salvaged from this dumpster fire? Synposis: Satou Shibuya is a first year student at Niflheim's Kawagusa General Academy. He's also the self-proclaimed strongest power user, sporting a big enough number on his birth certificate to make a nuclear bomb glow green with envy. There's something to be said about a person whose head is so far up their own ass that you find yourself watching their every move with bated breath, ever curious to see which hole they'll dig themselves into next. This is not that kind of story. This is a story about pride, coming of age, but actually, this is a story about big, stupid superpowered fights. Update Schedule: Whenever.

Clarent Saga: Chronicles
Based on my work on Saga of the Jewels, I've been hired by an indie game developer to write the novel for their 'novel + turn-based battles' game which is in Early Access on Steam. Of course, a 'novel + turn based battles' is a terrible idea for a game, which is why no other games like this exist, but hey, the developer is paying me. And if something's worth doing at all, it's worth doing as well as possible, so I am going to give this project my very best shot and try to make it as good as it can be. So if you read this, please give me feedback on the story to help me make it as good as it can be! Please note, for this story I have been given a pre-existent set of characters, character back-story sketches and a rough plot to work with. I also have to insert random battles into the narrative, have set characters appear in a certain order, and have the party fight fixed bosses in a certain order, all at fixed points! Please also note that this is a first draft. I will be editing and re-working this in the future and re-posting it. But I need helpful feedback, if anyone can give it. You can also find the game version of this on Steam by searching there for 'Clarent Saga: Chronicles'.
