《Crossing The Lands》19] - [Birth of an Era]

In an unknown space, a green plain was being howled at by a powerful wind. Colors were pale and a thick white mist was shrouding even the bright sky itself. Above a palace of untold prestige, a vast mass of nearly black clouds formed out of nowhere. They converged before spreading out, birthing a dark Heaven. Lights turned into shadows and an oppressive air churned. Above the palace, a giant maw of razor sharp fangs opened itself inside the dark clouds. Of the same trend, countless eyes of a red iris opened as well around this maw of horror. They all stared at the palace beneath.
From the maw, a loud male voice resounded. "Eternal Amalgam! Are you not putting me in your eyes? The Fairy Land is not for us to play, and if we decide to break the rules, shouldn't I be the one to forge the new ones?"
A deep silence long lived, a rough voice rang out from the palace. "Sublime Demon... Are you really willing to fight with my force? You may be strong, but the heritage of my ancestors is not something you can yet fathom."
The giant eyes in the dark Heaven narrowing their cloudy selves, the maw spoke. "Then so be it. I don't dare to offend them, and you should be wary, too. If even I can push you so far, what about them? You might attempt to play dirty, but the Sun Immortal knowns everything."
The rough voice did not hesitate in its reply. "I am fully aware. However, if I do not step in myself, what rules do I break? My son is under them and should be able to act freely. Am I wrong, Ravh?" The maw opening wide and the eyes narrowing even further, a thick red beam fell upon the palace in a mere instant, shattering its roof. "Do not call me by my name! You are nothing in my eyes! Wait and see how your son fares in there! And you are right. I have learnt from you! Let's see how you deal with me when I send over the Demonic Extremes!" A laugh echoing soon after, the dark Heaven dissipated into nothingness.

Deep within a starry sky of dark blue and purple, an old dilapidated white temple was floating. Its small exterior held a giant interior. Secrets of time and space sealed across all minds. A white robed old man was casually sitting on the roof's slanted edge. His legs were gently kicking one after the other, like a kid. His sunken eye sockets and wrinkly, loose skin made him appear on the verge of death. He was sickly thin, yet, when the old man parted his lips, a powerful voice warped the surrounding space. "Little Maria. Why not go out to play? You are old enough." A gorgeous young woman in a blue dress rushing over, she looked up from the bottom of the temple. "What is it grandpa? Why tell me this now? You never said anything about this before." She was perplexed. "Little Maria, do not ask what you shouldn't ask. I just felt like many opportunities might appear outside. Why not go there and experience the world?"

The old man looked indifferent, yet somehow managed to come off as caring into her heart. Maria on the other hand, was not so keen. "Why? I can just stay here and cultivate. Don't I have everything I would ever need here?" The old man chuckled as he waved his hand, causing a blinding light to illuminate her. Before her wide eyes of disbelief, he sighed with a faint playful smile. "Wouldn't that be too easy?"

After a year and nine months, Guizou prepared himself to refine the Blue Star Pill.
"Kiddo, you cultivate fast. Already at your limits you say? Are you sure?" Clenching his fist tightly, Wu Tian showed a valiant smile. "Two thousand pounds. I am most definitely sure!" His blue hair had been roughly trimmed down to his neck while a thick blue beard was presenting itself, covering his mouth and a little portion of his throat. His white eyes of a faint pink shade were bright.
"You're finally happy with your looks? That's good, no more weird experimentation. Don't want to see you with some of those haircuts. By the way, should we do something about your clothes?" Wu Tian curiously reevaluated his torn and basically missing attire. "Why? A few leaves help. The clothes of those guys are kind of shit." It was only met with a chuckle from his master. "Pfff. At least it's better than your birthday suit." This almost offended Wu Tian. "Are you saying I have a bad body? Look at those thick muscles! Look at my abs! Aren't you worse than... never mind..." Used to seeing Guizou, Wu Tian could guess how burly he was. As for aesthetics, both should be considered amazing for their skeletal structures and lives combined. Guizou was more of a bear while Wu Tian looked more proportionally natural.
"Fine then, have it your way." Shaking his head, Guizou took out the middle grade Yin Flower and random Blue Foundation Herb along the familiar Nature Seeds and Blood Powder.
"Don't faint this time." Laughing at Wu Tian almost exploding from anger and embarrassment, Guizou's gaze focused slightly above. A white translucent bead attracting the ingredients like a vortex. His ethereal figure of an almost invisible purple tint cross-legged, a smaller bead was being formed in his work.
The process was the exact same, however demanding more energy from him. The ingredients were a whole grade higher, which, while not much to him still, caused some visible discomfort. He lacked spiritual energy the most. It was his livelihood. His life essence even.
The Blue Foundation Herb melting, a vibrant blue glowed all over the pill. Being too potent, Guizou added more Nature Seeds. With the help of some Blood Powder as well, the Yin Flower and Blue Foundation Herb fused perfectly without any visible negative effect lingering.

Compared to the purple one, Guizou had carved a repeating circle pattern. Noticing the difference, as the blue layer peeled off the pill, Wu Tian asked. "Master... do you make these patterns on the pill on purpose?" Guizou nodded silently. He was a Diamond Alchemist from the Fairy Land, peak of alchemists. He could enjoy himself if he wanted to.
Not complaining, Wu Tian played with the glass-like pill in his mouth for a good half hour before swallowing it down.
The nostalgic feeling forced a grin on his face, a deep blue energy converging under the purple mark, near his small intestine. Curious once again, he placed his hand on his heart. Able to feel the heartbeat get stronger after some time, he then sensed the purple mark.
"Master... is there a pattern to these marks?" Guizou immediately answered. "Indeed there is. Though the names of each star is somewhat exaggerated. For example, the purple mark is where the Purple Star will be, equally often called the Heart Star. The blue one is the Forgotten Star."
Raising a brow, Wu Tian placed his hand back on his heart. "Hum... master, this... I don't think the purple star is quite on my heart..." Waiting for an answer, he only saw Guizou sigh for a minute. "It's old and dated. It's also because it sounds better. Yes, your heart is in the center of your chest, barely to your left. And the Heart Star is in the middle of your left pectoral. I know. We all know, I think. Same for the Forgotten Star. It's right under the Heart Star and near your small intestine except more to the left. Just don't think about it. In the end, with your crotch and throat as well as the mirrored version of the two you consumed, it's supposed to make a hexagon. Don't mind the names, alright? They are important, but not to your stupid brain."
"What? Why do you look so offended? Aren't you dumb?" Aware of Guizou's teasing nature, Wu Tian did not take the bait, resuming his cultivation.
The next stop was the third level!
After he's done, let's get closer to the Tehma Portal. If we are careful, we should be able to gather good stuff without too much danger. Well, with how things are in the world, he can't escape some injuries...
For now, let's focus on the [Insatiable Greed Method] and the [Basic Soul Method]. I have to take precautions after all, don't I? Hahaha!

Tehma Portal, daytime.
A vibrant pale blue sky was looming over a mountainous area. Multiple mountains of brown and grey, deserted of greenery, were encircling a giant oval frame from behind. This frame was almost reaching half the mountains' height. It was majestic. Its insides were blue twisting lights. Almost emanating a feeling of viscosity.
The blue vortex shivering, a giant pillar of bright lights descended upon it. Exiting from the unknown place within, a group of people emerged into the Mortal Land. The surrounding groups were terrified, not only by their presence, but also due to the phenomenon prior.
In front were two middle aged men in brown robes with their hoods on. On one of the two's right cheek, a strange pattern was glowing a searing blue. After some time, this glow began to fade until only the scar remained.
Landing on the plaza of orderly grey stone tiles, the group of twenty-two awaited. Soon enough, a man arrived, hurriedly kneeling while cupping his fists at the two leaders. "City Lord of the Great Moon City is grateful of being in presence of the two envoys!" Murmurs spread out on the spot, indicating this city lord to be well known.
One of the two still looking around, the most forward one gazed down domineeringly. His brown beard fluttering from the gentle breeze. "Don't let anyone disturb us. We are here to catch someone." Immediately jumping above the clouds after his words, the man flung his loose robes before shouting.
"To those who dare disobey our orders, prepare to die! None of this pitiful land must offend us! Whether any of you ants feel outraged or not, if we find anyone hindering our search, you will all die regardless!"
"This is an investigation! You can only help or ignore us! I command all kingdoms and empires! All villages and towns! Come to the Tehma Portal to await orders!"
Far away, mountains and rivers, lakes and oceans across, Wu Tian heard it as well.
Guizou was immediately woken up from the reverberating voice. "Kid, seems like it won't be all smooth sailing..." Ignoring a flurry of questions, he was lost in thoughts.
How is that possible though? That voice... heard across the Land, to be heard by the Earth and listened to by the people...
Great World Realm!
At least a Lord as well!

First of all this is a story that I´m writing casually in my free time so i think for the first few chapters dont expect regular updates.. This will be a story where the comment squad has a heavy influence on the story because I would find it funny to try and mix some things in that you guys suggest me in the comments :)Anyway now to the synopsis : This is a story about a boy named James Anderson.James died because he was struck by lightning while he was walking down the street on a rainy evening... After he thought everything was over he heard a voice asking him for a wish and for one wish only.. He knew his answer as soon as the question was asked because he fought for his whole life despite being only 19 years old.. He always has had a rough time because his family was poor and they needed to fight for every bit of money they could get.. he got in fights a lot.. so his wish was a simple one that would change everything.. " I wish to have the potentiell to become the strongest being in all existence so that i dont have to fight anymore ! Yin-Yang
Mages in North America seem to have it all – typically from well-off families, and able to manipulate their environment in ways most of the world would never believe. They don’t even have to bother with the mundane details of life like housework, thanks to their sensitives, who also make a useful source for extra magical energy. After all, sensitives have no use for it themselves, and if mages weren’t meant to make use of it, then the sensitives would obviously have some way to prevent that. That a mage can transform a sensitive physically, with no restrictions beyond overall mass and basic biological viability, whereas magic tends not to work directly on any other living thing, is only further proof. And look at the way they live on their own, barely a step above animals. It’s better for them to belong to a mage. Sensitives in North America live on the edge of society and survival – typically so paranoid they avoid hospitals and anything else that could lead to being tracked, many of them with little or no education and no legal identity or existence. Mages exist, and mages want sensitives for some reason, but no one ever comes back to explain what that reason is. Waiting every day for the hunters to notice them doesn’t lead to much motivation or hope for the future. And once they’re captured, they’re the property of someone with a terrifying amount of power over them. Anything is better than capture. Mages are born to be the masters, and sensitives are born victims. Or are they? Jax’s life is turned upside-down when he’s caught by the hunters and sold to a mage. Andreas is still mourning for his previous sensitive, though, unconsciously creating a difficult standard for Jax to live up to, all the more so while still struggling to come to terms with this new reality as Andreas’ sensitive. A runaway sensitive isn’t what Van expects at the mental health centre. Is this a hunter trap, set for him and the rest of the Donovan family by the hunters? The hunters would, after all, love to see them cross the line openly and finally do something they can be charged with. Either way, Miranda’s genuinely in trouble, and he can’t just abandon her to it. Snatching a sensitive out from under the hunters and hiding her is odd behaviour for a mage – but then, Catherine is an odd mage, living in disgrace in the old servants’ quarters of her grandmother’s house, responsible for cooking and housework. Lila owes Catherine her freedom; is there a way to help Catherine achieve her own, and at what price? Tension is building between traditionally-minded mages and those advocating change, and something has to break. *** Yin-Yang includes a small amount of profanity and no graphic sex or on-screen physical violence. However, sex and gender roles and relationships within the mage/sensitive subculture are non-traditional in mainstream North American terms. The key criterion in a primary relationship is not relative sex or gender, but the pairing of mage and sensitive; given the transformation of sensitives by their mages, physical sex is non-absolute for a sensitive, and gender identity can vary as in anyone else. *** *** The way mages treat sensitives is extremely varied and, in some cases is outright abusive. The struggle against that is pretty much the point of the book. It is NOT grimdark or misery-porn! However, if you will be triggered by this, please, don't read Yin-Yang! *** Complete stand-alone novel, 153K words! Also available on Scribble Hub and as a free ebook.
