《Devour》(51) Chapter 19: Jio De Menace

Fish village is in the middle of flat, dry, and monotonous, seemingly limitless scrub waste far away from civilization; not a good place to settle down.
"Before you burn everything to ashes, take this dress. It can withstand your power," Jio lets out as he throws the artifact to Sia.
"Thank you!" Sia smiles and quickly wears the dress over the clothing she is currently wearing as it burns to ashes. Her body burns fiercely, with the intensity changing unpredictably only means her emotion is somehow linked to her power.
Anyone in the village saw a flickering red-orange figure in the sky like a shooting star approaching without any sign of stopping as they worried it would destroy everything. As soon as it landed at the village's entrance, fire swiped every corner of the village, burning only the invaders like the fire itself had a mind of its own. All the villagers cheer, and when they look at the entrance, they see the smoldering fairy with a black knight, a little girl knight with a pet in her arms, standing side by side.
Those who wear fireproof clothing or armor flee after they realize they're losing the fight.
“Geo! We should hunt the one running away!” Lala suggests while taking her swords out from the sheath.
“Let them go,” Sia protests while the fire around her body dies down, and is blown away by Lala's words and demeanor.
“Why let them live? They attacked the village, your home,” Jio points out and looks at Lala so she won’t rush to the invaders carelessly.
"The last time we did it... Many died after the second group of invaders attacked… An ambush," Sia looks mournful with a hint of rage, just trying to remember that unfortunate day.
"Sorry for your loss..." Jio let out and suggested, “Since we know they will attack again, we must prepare!"
"We're doing that, but they planned on slowly killing us till we can't fight anymore and surrender," Sia answers and lead the group to the village.
When the group reaches the center, Jio ascends to look for the escapees and shouts, "I'm willing to help the village, just say the words!"
In Jio's head, his action will impress and be on their good side and get the information he needs to find that one person.
Jio raises his left hand with a Sunstone (Multiple Firestone into one and one of its kind in the world) coated with his armor, making it look like a meteorite with glowing red cracks to hide its value. He holds two Earthstones on his right, and multiple rocks levitate from the ground and float above the village.
"Last Wish!" Jio shouts at the top of his lung as the rocks burst into flame and shoot at the fleeing invaders like a shooting stars.

"Geo! The name sucks!" Lala shouts after Jio shouts the spell's name.
"With my help, this village will know peace once more. Time like this, we all need hope, and I can give that!" Jio lets out like a noble knight with his black armor as he descends from the sky.
"He might be a spy!" A villager shouts in protest.
"YEAH! We can't trust him!" Continued by another villager
His plan did not work, and Lala started laughing at the outcome.
Jio takes a dull greatsword as he looks down on the villagers.
"So everyone has chosen death?" Jio states to provoke everyone since he wants to fight everyone in the village and measure their strength since his plan failed and he decided to have a little fun.
Sia doesn't know what to do, and Lala flies with Reko to watch and enjoy the fight.
Sia tries to stop everyone since she knows how strong Jio is, and what he just did is a fraction of his power.
*He just cast a spell and using a sword now? A warrior type? A magician? A monster... He's a monster* Sia thought, knowing his not a normal person.
Everyone holds their soul weapon tight and ignores Sia's warnings that he is a dangerous person they don't want to mess with or fight with their current state. They are bound to fail most dreadfully no matter what they do.
"If he's our enemy, he could have destroyed everything on his path and gotten everything he wants from us," Sia lets out, but most already unleashed their soul weapons' might toward Jio with the remaining strength they could muster.
The first attack comes from a Soul War Fan that created a powerful gust of wind that could blow a whole squad away. Jio looks at the force and strength of the spell and does nothing to avoid the impending danger.
*If they added something solid to this, their enemies would be in big trouble... Not me, though!* Jio thought with confidence.
The unforgiving gust lifts Jio into the air like a ferocious tornado ripping everything in its path. Jio immediately opens his wings after he regains his balance and destroys the assault with style as he looks down on the villagers.
Diving at lightning speed, Jio targets the closest villager and knocks anyone who blocks his way.
*His not killing anyone... What is he trying to prove?* Sia thought and stopped herself and watched instead of helping.
When Jio notices everyone keeping their distance, he suddenly feels chills run behind his back, and his surroundings suddenly darken. Looking back, he sees a muscular old man with a glossy mustache holding a two meters long Soul Warhammer. The weapon starts to produce electricity, and in Jio's view, everything is in slow motion as the Warhammer makes cracking sounds about to make contact with his armor.

All he can do is watch, stands still, and manly accept the onslaught with open arms.
Jio praises the hammer's force as the face hits his back, and the electric current instantly travels throughout the armor and his body. He bounces into the ground and creates a small crater from the attack's force.
With two broken ribs and temporary paralysis, Jio is in big trouble. In his situation, he requires willpower and strength to get back moving, which is a challenging feat for most people.
The villagers cheer for the oldman's successful, powerful attack but immediately stop after Jio regains control over his body and stands up. Everyone notices that his armor changes and electricity flows in his great sword, which makes the villagers hold their soul weapons tightly, knowing the fight isn't over yet.
Jio is just built differently, thanks to his mother's intense hell training. Whenever he is in a bad situation, Jio compares it to that "Hell Training."
"Hahaha!" Jio laughs like a madman, enjoying the fight.
He can easily take the villagers if it's a proper fight; how he actually fights but to test the villagers. When he's about to charge with the greatsword overcharged with the Soul Warhammer's electricity, a voice not so loud nor weak can be heard and stops Jio from attacking.
"Everybody is supposed to be resting and treating the wounded. NOT fighting our guests!" An old wrinkled and white-haired old lady let outs in anger.
"Elder, we didn't mean... 'Our guest' offended everyone, acting high and mighty!" A villager lets out in their defense.
"His offering a helping hand. And everyone gang up on him instead? I know everyone is tired but now... Everyone must apologize and offer the best hospitality!" The Elder announces her decision for the villagers to follow.
Everyone complies and lowers their head like a little kid after getting spoiled by their parents.
"That sounds nice!" Jio suddenly let out, looking around with a smirk.
They know he's smirking even with the black helmet covering his face.
"Sir knight, would you mind having tea or coffee with me as we discuss the offer?" The Elder asks.
Jio follows the Elder while Lala talks about wanting to help but watching the fight is more appealing until Sia invites her somewhere, so Jio and the Elder can speak in private. Who is in their right mind to let a child get involved with this kind of topic?
Inside the Elder's hut, alone with her, Jio takes his armor and weapon back to the storage ring. This surprises the Elder since Jio looks around seventeen to nineteen years old.
"So young..." The Elder subconsciously let out.
"Jio, you can call me Jio. Elder," Jio says with a smile.
"What a unique name, and how can you help us?" The Elder promptly asks.
"Never let anyone step on you. Not. Even. Once. I can train, modify the weapons and help the village when they attack again. They will strike again... It's a hunch. I feel they will attack again," Jio answers as he holds his chin.
"Thank you for helping this humble village of mine. How can we repay you, young master?" The Elder asks after bowing her head and giving a token so Jio can do whatever he needs to help the village.
"Elder, can you tell me the village's history and why people keep invading this particular village?" Jio asks as he sips from a cup of tea.
"You didn't know?" The Elder looks at Jio, nodding and understands that he's not from around, "Long ago, this place was busting with life and an open lake with many fish, and everything changed when a cult experimented with Dark Magic... This is the outcome. The day Maleficia was born into this world. They blame the village, but we have done nothing. Or maybe they want the village's weapon blueprints."
"Thank you, Elder," Jio let out as he bowed his head and took his leave, thinking about asking for Maleficia's roundabout after he helped the village.
Even though the Fish village is small, the people train every day and can slay a beast with a strength that can easily take an Expert Rank warrior. The invasion started last year and got defeated miserably, but the leader did not stop the attack and decided to take the village slowly.
Walking around the village, he sees the old man with the Soul Warhammer, the village's blacksmith.
"So you're the blacksmith! I'm Jio," Jio let out and showed the village's token.
"..." The blacksmith looks at Jio and ignores him as he continues to work.
"I want to gather all Soul weapons and armor. It would be nice if you gathered it all for me. I assume the villagers respect you!" Jio demands after he gets ignored and adds, "And I want to see the blueprints."
"I don't like your tone, boy. Even if you have that token, I won't work under you," the blacksmith announces and is a little taken aback by how young Jio really is.

This is another attempt at the world travelling reincarnator. I dropped my other story because I didn't like where it was going and I felt trapped in the Narutoverse. This time, I'm going to have the main character travelling to more than just one world and they won't all be action based. Have fun and thank you! The first chapters are rough, but I believe I'm improving! Please stick around while I find the style I wish to write in!
