Hello everyone! As stated before, the deadline for the BotM has now been shifted to be on the last day of every month. Please remember that you may ask for a extension before the due date (30/11/22), if you think you can't complete it by then.
f you were a member (not a seedling) in Bloom 83. Failure to do so will result in a strike.

The BotM is determined by the past four blooms (79, 80, 81, 82) and the previous BotM (in this case, the October BotM). The previous BotM is the most important and, ultimately, what we look at when deciding the next Reviewer of the Month to have their book featured. Your comments must meet our standard requirements and provide adequate feedback to the writer. Remember, only one can be the BotM, so try to make your feedback stand out.
We were very happy with this month's comments. Quite a few of you used the Bloom Bonus questions this month, both in your regular blooms and it also reflected in the BotM. We actually had a hard time narrowing down to who the BotM was going to be. We're glad you're finding the Bloom Bonus helpful in providing feedback of better quality, and we hope you continue to do so. Please let's keep this up in upcoming BotMs and weekly assignments. Following is the breakdown of how we assess your assignments for the BotM.
Example:
Bloom #1 (10% of the point consideration)
Bloom #2 (10% of the point consideration)
Bloom #3 (10% of the point consideration)
Bloom #4 (10% of the point consideration)
Previous BotM (60% of the point consideration)

You must read 2 chapters of Garden of Light and leave the proper amount of feedback and comments. The requirements are the same as our standard bloom requirements. For Advanced Sunflowers, that means that your requirement is either a 5+ sentence final comment or a 7+ in-line comments with a two sentence final comment for BOTM. Please complete this by November 30th, 2022 and comment "Done" below or you will receive a strike.
You may ask for a 2-day extension if needed, but you must ask before it is due. If you were a member in Bloom 83, this applies to you, otherwise, you do not have to read the BotM for November.

The Simulacrum
"He who fights with harem tropes should see to it that he himself does not become a harem protagonist. And if you gaze for long into a narrative, the narrative gazes also into you." --- Friedrich Nietzsche (probably?) How would you react if one day you woke up inside an environment running on tropes and clichés? For allegedly average high-schooler Leonard Dunning, this question became quite relevant when one day he woke up in a pristine city on a strange island in the middle of the Atlantic, without any memories, surrounded by classmates who are barely more than characterless placeholders, and with a classic indecisive harem protagonist and his impossibly beautiful love interests for friends. That would be hard to deal with already, yet his investigation into the tropes governing the world, trying to avoid harem shenanigans, and his odd blend of outside-context knowledge, unique abilities, and a penchant for causing trouble wherever he goes ends up dragging him into the center of the action anyway. Disclaimer: This is a tongue-in-cheek, slice of life romantic comedy, with occasional sprinkles of combat and mystery to spice things up. Please do not expect a straight up deconstruction beyond some in-universe meta-commentary by the characters.

Don't Disappoint Me
I find the Noah/MC relationship in the Love Island game extremely unsatisfying, so I have created my own story where Noah and MC can be together, no snakes or slimy feelings involved. I also wanted a LI to appreciate MC for something besides her style and loyalty, so I've incorporated a lot of that as well.
