~*TWO MONTHS LATER*~
THANKSGIVING BREAK HAS ARRIVED
"Have a great Thanksgiving." I say to Evelyn and Nora as I walk down the separate path.
"You too sweetie!" Nora smiles.
"Have lots of food babies!" Evelyn jokes.
"Okay guys!" I reply.
When we're far enough I walk down the corner to the black car parked and waiting. Surprisingly it was Walter behind the wheel and not some random guy. As I slid into the backseat, getting comfortable with the nice leather, I smiled at Walt.
"Long time no see." I say to him.
"Miss Slade, nice to see you as well." He replied with a large smile.
"So how have you been?" I ask.
"Great, yourself?" He looks at the rear view mirror to me.
"Good." I inform him, then swallow down the lump in my throat and ask. "Greyson?"
"He's fine, just getting grey hairs." Walter jokes. "He's been working very long hours of the day, I barely see him anymore. I would but he insists I be home by 3 today to be with my family during the holiday."
Seeing how great he is to Walter didn't help the feelings I've been burying for him. Greyson has such a great and caring side to him, I wish he was like that all the time. Then again he'd most likely be married already then.
"So why are you picking me up today?" I ask.
"Well," Walter chuckles. "Don't tell him I told you but he wanted me to personally check up on you."
"Oh." I say, clenching my jeans tightly.
I haven't seen him in two months and admittedly I wanted to. I've been picturing him every night before I go to bed but lately his image in my head has become hazy.
"If you'd like, I could take you to the towers to see him." Walter offers.
"No, he's probably busy." I dismiss the idea.
"I'm sure he could take a break for you." Walter pushes.
"It's okay, I'm fine, I want to go home anyway and help my Dad with Thanksgiving preparations."
Walter's smile fades. "He's been rather lonely, Miss Slade."
"Huh?" I look at him.
He shakes his head. "Nevermind, forget what I said."
"No, tell me."
Walter sighs. "I've been with Greyson Blackstone since he was a child, I've been with him through his adolescence, and most certainly through his adulthood."
"Yeah." I nod.
His expression saddens. "Always during the holidays, Greyson piles himself with work, and pushes everyone away. He's always alone when he should be with his family and he's been like that since his mother died. So I wanted you to go see him because he always livens up around you."

"That's because I anger him." I scoff.
"No it's because Greyson trusts you." Walter says. "Listen, I'm not forcing you or pitying you to go, I just want you to think about him. I know you two had a falling out and you'd rather not see him, but I need you to know that despite the man he seems to be, it's not the man he is."
I bit my lip.
"Well either way we've arrived at your home." Walter informs me.
I grab the door handle and open the door.

What am I doing
WHAT AM I DOING?
I nervously rub my hands together as I walk down the long and beautifully decorated halls.
After that sad speech Walter gave me about Greyson I couldn't help but feel bad. He wasn't picking up his phone so Walt suggested me asking him to join me and my Dad on Thanksgiving in person. So I couldn't say no and closed the door then had him drive me all the way to the Blackstone Towers.
When I arrive at his office I notice Brooke was not at her desk, maybe she was sent home for the holidays. So I take a deep breath and open the doors.
"YES!" I hear a woman moan.
I freeze.
Greyson groans as he continuously thrusts into the woman.
My eyes widen.
When a familiar dark haired woman's head drops backwards, we immediately lock eyes.
"Oh shit!" She screams.
Greyson looks up and stiffens at the sight of me.
Why did I ever fall for such a stupid story? He doesn't need family when he has a whore assistant. So without saying anything I storm off feeling like an idiot for caring about him.
I've been thinking about him non-stop for two months, about wanting to see him. And he...well he's been doing just DANDY.
Fuck him.
I stab my finger into the elevator aggressively, hoping it would speed up the process of it coming up. When it arrives I don't take a second look behind me before walking into the elevator and pressing the lobby.
That's when I see the doors fly open and Greyson stalking towards me, his shirt barley buttoned all the way. While Brynn stayed back and watched in confusion. I jabbed my finger on the door close button forcing the elevator doors to close quicker before he had the chance to get on.
Luck was on my side and it did.
Relief was all I felt as we went down floor by floor, I hit my head against the walls. "I'm so stupid! Why did I believe that stupid shit about Greyson being lonely. Why did I even care!? He's an ass!"
The elevator stops at the lobby and I storm out heading to the front doors to Walter who was waiting because I told him. That is until I'm stopped by a large and strong hands grip around my arm.

Greyson's chest was elevating and collapsing at rapid speeds, probably because of the running—and sex. He also had sex sweat. And wait for it, sex hair, it was a beautiful mess from fingers of a woman who was of course Brynn.
"Sage, what the fuck." He breathes.
"Sage, what the fuck?" I frown. "Get off of me!"
"Sage, why didn't you call?" He asked. "If I knew—"
"If you knew, you'd what?" I scoff. "Not fuck the slutty assistant!?"
"Sage."
"I'm doing it again." I rub my face with my free hand. "I'm actually caring, I mean you'd think I'd stop right!?"
"Sage."
"I mean for heavens sake! Why was I surprised to see you plowing her?" I ask, laughing. "You're a manwhore, it's what you do."
"Calm down."
"Don't tell me to CALM DOWN!" I snap. "I felt bad because I thought you'd be alone, so I came to personally ask you if you wanted to celebrate with me and my Dad. Though I'm pretty sure you're booked for tomorrow, just instead of a turkey, you're getting a whore for dinner."
"Sage." Greyson growls.
"You're getting mad at me!?" I shake my head. "Why do I even put myself through this, it's the same thing, I'm just going to get myself hurt caring about you. I mean this entire time you knew about my feelings and didn't call ONCE to see how I'm doing in two months!"
"Sage."
"No!" I shake my head. "Every day I've waited for you to call, for you to come see me, for you to do SOMETHING! Instead you've been at work and when you're not at work or working you're fucking. Well Greyson Blackstone I am sorry for wasting both our times and I'll see you when Richard or my Grandfather calls us for a meeting."
I yank my arm but I'm not successful.
"You know what." Greyson scoffs. "You get angry at me and never listen to me, well you're going to listen. If you're mad that I was upstairs doing what I was doing with Brynn then let me explain something to you, sweetheart, I'm a fucking man. You did not expect me to go cold turkey because some seventeen year old girl confessed her feelings for me? You knew for a fact that I wasn't Prince Charming yet you kept putting stupid fucking expectations in your head about me."
Ouch
"But—"
He cuts me off. "No, Sage, I'm tired of you getting pissed at me! You're angry that I didn't call or visit, you're angry because you think I've been living it up while you were gone."
"Because you were—"
"Still speaking!" He snaps. "You think I was just happy-go-lucky well fuck you, because despite what you saw, I haven't been that way. I've been worried about you and making sure you're safe 90% of the time, I have Todd giving me updates on you every hour. Where you are, who you're with, if there's suspicious activity. I'm still thinking about you! Yeah I'm fucking women but that's sex, Sage, it's what I do. I work in a high pressure job, I'm fucking stressed, I need this and you're mad at me because I need something to relax me? It's not like we were an item, you have no right to be that way!"
"Yeah but I confessed to you!" I snap.
"And!?" Greyson frowns. "Did you expect me to become Mr. Monogamous and date only you? Scratch that, did you expect me to date you period!? You're seventeen in high school, I'm almost twenty-eight, do you see the fucking problem here!? You want love, I can't give it. You fell in love with me, I didn't force you to, you did that on your own so you need to stop getting so fucking angry at me!"
When he stopped I closed my eyes for a moment to calm me down momentarily.
When I decided to open my eyes, with composure, my gaze met his. "You're right. You're absolutely right, Greyson. It was me who started to have feelings for you but you need to know if I had any choice in that it would most certainly not be you. I'm not stupid, but for some reason deep down inside of me I believe there's a decent human in you instead of the trash I see everyday. Call it the hopeless romantic in me, tell me I've watched to many stupid chick flicks, or I've read to many fairy tales. Either way, it's reality, I do have feelings for you."
Greyson continued to stay silent.
"And don't worry," I assure him, ending the silence. "I'm not planning on changing who I am, I'll still hate you as always, I'll still get mad at you as usual. The only difference between the Sage Slade you met and the Sage Slade now, is that she was stupid enough to fall in love with the billionaire manwhore. But she's not going to turn into one of your Blackstone Whores who'll try anything in hopes you'll reciprocate, because unlike them, I know your a cold-hearted bastard."
And at that I quickly turned around ignoring the beautiful man standing before me. The one who is capable of doing more damage than anyone to me. Unfortunately, the saddest part is I wouldn't mind it as long as it was him. However, I'm not an idiot, I'd rather fight through the endless nights of wondering about him than to continuously get my heart broken.
So I stomped away.
