Luo Xinghang was in his morning meeting. After picking up the phone and hearing what the other person had to say, he shot out of his seat.

Without another word, he rushed home.

On his way home, he called Luo Chen numerous times but nobody picked up.

His heart sank and the light in his eyes darkened.

At home, Luo Xinghang found Luo Huaian on the couch with a solemn face. It was obvious that he had been informed.

“Father.” Luo Xinghang’s tone was hasty but still respectful, “You should know what the Country of Summer means to Luo Chen. He’s going to find Emperor Yin now. Are you still not going to let me bring him back?”

Luo Huaian frowned and waved his hand, “You can go.”

Luo Xinghang was ecstatic. He turned to leave but Luo Huaian warned him, “But, you must remember that he is the master and you are the servant. Don’t try something funny!”

Luo Xinghang tightened his fists and gulped. This was the first time he clashed with his father.

“But father, how can I control my heart? What if my heart’s already changed?”

Luo Huaian’s expression was as ugly as ever, “Have you considered the consequences?! No matter what, there is no way you can be fruitful. You cannot control your heart but you can control your actions. If you still refuse to wake up, I will have to repick the assistant to the royal family.”

Luo Xinghang shook aggressively and he closed his eyes, “Father, don’t be angry. I know I was wrong. I will behave myself.”

He then left.

On the helicopter ride to the Country of Summer, Qiao Qing got a call from an unknown number. Curious, she picked up, “You are?”

Luo Xinghang’s clean voice spoke through the phone, “I’m sorry, Ms. Qiao, please make an emergency stop on the beach. Luo Chen cannot go to the Country of Summer with you guys.”

Qiao Qing eyed Luo Chen, who was playing with the fox, “Why?”

Luo Xinghang, “Forgive me, I cannot tell you that. If Luo Chen goes with you, he may be in danger. Plus, bringing him will do no good for you, Ms. Qiao. I hope you can listen to me and land the helicopter. Let me take him away.”

Qiao Qing pursed her lips and gave Luo Chen another glance.

“Why don’t you call him directly?”

Luo Xinghang bitterly chuckled, “Ms. Qiao, you’re such a smart girl. Can’t you guess the reason?”

Qiao Qing said, “Luo Chen is my friend, which means I will do whatever to help him. However, you are claiming that he will be in danger if he goes to the Country of Summer but refuses to speak of the reason. Forgive me. I cannot make this decision on his behalf. Why don’t you explain everything to him.”

She then handed Luo Chen the phone, “Your brother.”

Luo Chen shuddered and hesitantly took over the phone.

Stuttering, he said, “… Brother.”

Luo Xinghang frowned and took some time to gather the courage, “Luo Chen, come home. Everything you’re worried about won’t ever happen again. From today on, I am only your brother. I promise you that.”

Luo Chen was surprised. Hesitantly, he said, “I don’t want to go back right. I think it’s fun to travel with them.”

Luo Xinghang’s heart dropped but he remained calm, “Listen to me. If they’re going anywhere else, I would treat it like you’re going on a trip and I wouldn’t interfere. However, you cannot go the Country of Summer.”
