Fang Chengshi interrupted her before she could say his title or his full name, “I came today in secrecy. Ms. Lu, you can just refer to me as Mr. Fang.”

Fang Chengshi was ecstatic. He thought his trip today was worth it.

Lu Zhixun however, changed the subject and continued, “CEO Leng didn’t seem to be very receptive to the idea. I asked him for an assistant – one who will help me on this project only. However, he denied me that. So, I am sorry but his attitude had made me not want to stay in Country L for this project and for my career.”

Fang Chengshi’s face dropped. He thought that didn’t sound like something the Leng family would do.

He couldn’t help but ask, “Who did you request as your assistant? You had someone in mind?”

He wasn’t stupid. If she simply wanted any assistant, the Leng family wouldn’t have said no.

Since Leng Yan accepted this project, there was no way he would cheap out on such a small matter.

The only possibility was that Lu Zhixun gave him a hard time with the assistant issue.

Lu Zhixun thought telling him now didn’t matter so she said, “I do have someone in mind. It’s Qiao Qing.”

Fang Chengshi froze. That name sounded familiar.

He wasn’t active on social media and never went on Weibo. Though he’s heard of Qiao Qing, he didn’t know her well.

His assistant, Shi Peng, however, was surprised, “The God of Racing from the Capital Country?”

Lu Zhixun nodded, “That’s the one.”

He didn’t attend the race this year but there were racers from country L who went. So naturally, he knew that the God of Racing showed up this year.
