“Go,” Leng Yan’s eyes closed a little, “I’m tired.”

Zhou Xin had to hold back what he wanted to say. After he exhaled deeply, he turned and left.

After Zhou Xin left, Leng Yan opened his eyes again and lifted his blanket to get out of bed.

Down the stairs, he butted heads against Qiao Qing and the files in his hand dropped to the ground.

Zhou Xin was in shock. He bent down to pick up everything.

Qiao Qing, however, beat him to it and looked at the agreement she thought she had seen wrong.

When she confirmed that the word on top said “Will”, Qiao Qing’s pupils constricted. The hand she used to hold the file shook.

Zhou Xin extended his hands to try and snatch those back, “Mis. Qiao, you…”

“Shut up!” Qiao Qing stared deadly at the will. After she glanced over the material, tears started to fall.

Behind her, Jun Yexuan and Qi Yusen were both in shock.

They must’ve read what was on that file as they too, started to feel a mix of emotions.

Qiao Qing wiped away her tears. She suddenly thought of something and snapped her entire body around as she dashed into Leng Yan’s room.

Leng Yan was just about to swallow the sleeping pills he’d been hiding.

After a loud “ang”, the door was pushed open.

Like a flash of lightning, Qiao Qing rushed towards Leng Yan and knocked the pills out of his hands.

She picked up the pill bottle on the side and couldn’t help but growl, “Leng Yan, what are you doing?!”

Leng Yan pursed his colorless lips and at once, he didn’t know what to say.

Like a child who’d been caught doing something wrong, he appeared overwhelmed.

He knew she would work hard for him but he didn’t expect her to work so damn hard.

Based on the way she’d been studying, after a month, her health would deteriorate too.

His illness being exposed helped him feel better.

Today, to be able to see her again before death was the biggest fortune ever. He had nothing else to dwell on.

If he died now, the will would become valid. It would help him get out of the current mess and can ensure that she no longer needed to torture herself over him.

Leng Yan stared at the pills that had been knocked onto the ground and silently felt that it was a pity.

Zhou Xin’s brain went numb at the sight of the sleeping pills. His nose felt sour as tears started to fall, “Young master! You are killing me!”

Qiao Qing stared at Leng Yan and said slowly, “Who gave you the permission to end your own life?! You think if you die and leave me all this stuff, I would be happy?! If you do that, I will only live the rest of my life in pain!”

Leng Yan took out his hand and wiped away Qiao Qing’s tears, “Qingqing, don’t cry.”

His words were the catalyst that truly drove Qiao Qing into a breakdown.

With her head against his shoulder, she started to cry her eyes out.

She didn’t cry when her father was captured.

When she found her “father” to be in a vegetative state, she also didn’t cry.
