She then placed her hand on her hip and completely let her arrogance show.

“It’s better if he’s dead. Once he’s dead, my son would be the only inheritor of the Leng family. When that happens, my son and I will never have to listen to anyone.”

Her words made Zhou Xin’s face drop. He ordered in a cold voice, “Security! Throw her out!”

“I’m leaving.” Ma Xiaoyun bit back. Satisfied, she threw back her newly permed hair and before the security got here, she headed for the door.

However, when she arrived at the door, she felt her knees go weak as pain shot through her.

Then, with a bang, she fell to the ground.

“Who is it?! Who attacked me?!”

Ma Xiaoyun turned her head around in fury just to see a cold-faced girl walk down the stairs.

When she saw the reflective blades in the young woman’s hand, Ma Xiaoyun’s heart quivered, “Who are you?!”

Qiao Qing didn’t speak. With one hand in her pocket, she played around with the blades in her other hand and walked to Ma Xiaoyun. She then got down on one knee.

She used the blades and patted the woman’s face, “Those men don’t hit women. But I’m no man. Leng Yan respects you because you’re a generation ahead of him. But I don’t respect you. If you dare to say anything ill of Leng Yan again, I will make sure to send you down there first.”

She didn’t need to specify what “down there” meant.

Ma Xiaoyun felt the cold blades against her face and the pressure that the girl held. Fear took over her and her tongue curled when she spoke, “I… I was wrong. I won’t say anything bad anymore. I won’t!”

Disgusted, Qiao Qing stood up, “**** off!”

Ma Xiaoyun heard this and scrambled her way out of there.

Zhou Xin went up to Qiao Qing with much appreciation, “Ms. Qiao, thank you!”

“What’s there to thank me for?” Qiao Qing’s face was calm, “Compared to what he did for me, this is nothing.”

Zhou Xin once again exclaimed just how different Qiao Qing was in comparison to that mother and son pair.
