《The Blood Order》Bonus Scene I: When She Lost Her Life

"Hey babe!" The star quarterback calls out to me while I fix my cheer skirt. The whole team just finished getting ready for the big game, tequila shots passed around to offer warmth during the chilly fall night. My boyfriend sticks his head into the girls locker room beckoning me from the crowd of cackling girls, and of course like a good girl I listen. My feet pad across the floor towards him, a nice smile comes across my well manicured features. As my fathers daughter, presentation is always a top priority, never a hair out of place.
"Oh hey, honey. What's going on?" The masses of people here for the game cheer in the background. The dance team typically sneaks out for a pre-show warm up. I'd rather call it a pre-show flash but the men love it. It brings in sales and keeps the stadium maintained. He wraps his hand around my upper arm pulling me further onto the track, Jenny the new bitch stands on the side with a sneer. I give her a flutter of my fingertips for politeness, but she turns her chin the other way ignoring me completely.
"Just wanted to tell you how beautiful you are." He pulls me into him wrapping his arms around me. I smile into his chest while he peppers kisses over the top of my head. I've never felt so loved, ick, "Love you, babe. Kick ass tonight."
"You know I will. I'm not cheer captain for nothing!" I give him a chaste kiss rushing off to join my team that's working their way onto the field. Jenny's footsteps can be heard stomping behind me until she's by my side, "Oh... hey Jenny."
"You two look cozy, Sully." She's the only one to call me that. Others have heard it and picked up one it, and it doesn't bother me too much. However I know the intentions behind the nickname. I try my best to put on a good show for her. Can't show her how she affects me. It's only fact that I'm better than her.
"As he's my boyfriend, that would make sense."
She clicks her tongue and pulls her phone from her bra. I should shun her for such, but I do the same thing. No need to be a hypocrite before a big game, "You sure he agrees with that?" Her phone is moved into my line of view, a photo of my boyfriend making out with her at the most recent party. I wasn't able to attend because of a finance exam, and now I'm regretting it. My fingers snatch the phone from her to zoom in on him. His face is hard to miss, there's no deny thing that she's almost in his skin at how close they are. Thank God. His dick is small anyways. Now we can just charade.
This does, however, put a major dent into my dads plan. The quarterback is the son of a major company we'd like to merge with. Buy out is better terms, but my father would like to go the marriage route to make it the easiest transition. Our net worth is higher, so it would make the most sense we would take name from them, "That's so fucking photoshopped. Get this out of my face."
"You really choose to be oblivious. It's disgusting watching you pretend to ignore the world around you for your fathers betterment." She spits. I roll my eyes taking the time to wave up at the bleachers towards my best friend, Vale. She's my number one. Her hand waves excitedly back, her screams of cheer breaking over the loudest of the fans, "Even pretending like Vale hasn't fucked your boyfriend. Puh-fucking-lease."

"You seem to have a real itch to get into my business." I run my pointer down her nose, her head follows sending her chin into her chest, "I'd advise to step back."
"Is that a threat?"
"It's a promise Jen-bug. I don't tolerate people like you, always sniffing for trouble. You aren't worth the air." I force a false laugh through my teeth. This isn't the time for this.
"You'll regret that, Sully. You have no idea who you just pissed off."

The house maids wake me up with breakfast, my father calling out his good wishes before leaving down the hall. I give gracious smiles to all the help while they rush around the room to help me get ready. Our game last night went splendid, another win. With that we all squeezed into the local twenty-four hour diner and celebrated well into the morning. Too bad our games are Thursday nights, "Morning Ms. Wild. I have your clothes for the day ironed and ready."
"Thanks, Marg. Always appreciate you." I blow her a kiss taking the stack of clothes to the bathroom. After a quick shower and simple blowout I pull the comfier outfit over my skin. The shades of the top go well with my purple eyes. Mm. I wish they were normal. Not now, Sultana.
By the time I've left the bathroom the help have disappeared. I snag my backpack and keys rushing down the stairs. And with another thankful smile to the butler that drove my car up for me, I jump into the seat and head to school. Today is going to be great. I look great, Jenny was handled, and Vale has plans with me to go shopping after our last lecture.
That was that case. Now I stand in front of my coach her eyes dripping with rage, "You're out! Scholarship revoked, status gone, you're fucked girly. I expect all your stuff on my desk within an hour!"
"Wait what?" I wave my hands at her trying to calm her down. Had I done something last night? Did I forget to wear shorts under my skirt? No that can't be it, a lot of girls do that.
"Jenny and the quarterback came up to me last night and informed me of your intolerable actions. Showed me photos of what you've been spending your weekends doing, and recordings of how you've spoken to Jenny. I thought you were a good kid, Sul, but I now I know you're nothing but a scrape of trash. The financial office has been made aware, your scholarship has been revoked and full repayment is expected by end of day tomorrow. That or you'll need to drop out."
"Coach please."
"I won't let you manipulate me, Sul. Get out." And that was that. An unknown number sends me photos of what she'd shown coach. Me dancing drunk, me pranking a student, even where I accidentally vandalized a car. Lacking from the photos are the other girls, the football players, everyone else involved in every incident. A key line rings in under all of them: Now this is photoshop.
"No, no, no..." I mumble to myself over and over marching over the campus towards the practice field. Jack should be there now, he should be able to help me. My eyes trace over the multitudes of heads, finally landing on the familiar brown, "No." Hanging over that bastards arm is Jen herself. He kisses down her neck, her arm. His touch towards her is so much more than it ever was towards me. I don't give a rip about him not loving me, but the fucking public humiliation of it being with her?

Jenny and the quarterback...
He played me. I've been played. My heart cracks, my body dropping. Both Jenny and Jack look towards me, neither dropping the sinister smiles that come over their faces. Another text pops up: Should've been more aware, Sultana.
I grip my keys tightly rushing from the scene. While I might not have anyone to go to on the team, I know Vale could help me. She's usually studying in the robotics lounger with her crush. Not that the woman knows. Maybe ten minutes later I bust through the door, tears streaming down my face, "I need help."
Vale stands up from the robot, her eyes flickering down to the woman of interest. She turns back to me, an unfamiliar look, "I can't help someone that didn't notice when I needed you most. Jenny showed me the photos of you breaking into my dads car, as well as helped me see the negligence you've had in our friendship. It'd be best if you leave."
"But it wasn't just me! It was the whole team!" I screech shaking my phone. Another text: She's pretty easy to manipulate. I wouldn't bother trying. Her mind is set, "You'll believe them over someone you've been friends with for years?"
"If that's the case, show me the original image. Let me see proof that you weren't the only one." Her arms cross, eyes meeting mine intently.
"I can't. It was Jenny and Jacks job to take photos. These are all from..." And that's when it clicked. Jenny, the new girl of the season, she'd been plotting this since before I hated her. Before I'd even known of her existence, "Who is she?"
"Are you asking aloud? Jenny? The daughter of the man that runs one of your main rival companies? For someone so poised and collected you seem to negate the fact that you were horrible to someone that intends to bring you down on the field and in business. How can I be friends with someone so fucking dense? Even to me!" Her words are like venom breaking through my skin in a disgusting fashion.
"You have it all wrong! I love you! You're my best friend. Jenny's crazy. She made out with Jack at a party, it was her idea to break into the car to steal the limited edition golf club. I don't even like golf!" My begs fall on deaf ears. I'm sent from the building metaphorically packing and broken. Her messages continue: Why not ask daddy for help? I'm sure he'd be willing to pick up the pieces. You've lost the business connection, broken your besties heart, and even dug the stake further between our families. Not to mention lost your precious scholarship that granted you power. I doubt daddy will be proud.
I veered into the driveway of my home. My dad should be in his office by now. All his morning meetings are over, only the paperwork part of his dad left. The help moves as I break down the hall, backpack still strapped tightly against me. I drop into his office, eyes of rage falling upon me, "Hello Sultana."
"D-Dad. At university-" I stutter out, but he holds up his hand.
"Do you know what landed on my desk today?" He picks up a document, "An offer of a submissive merger with the Yonder's family." Jenny?
"Wh-what?"
"A rival company promised to submit to us, sign away all their rights and become a monopoly for the east states. Do you want to know why?" He doesn't let me answer, just continues, "Jenny convinced her father that she's not able to take over the family name. Promised her father to be the best she can and marry rich if he signs it over to a family of power. You uncle is looking for a wife, and Jenny fits the bill. But that's not all."
What is happening right now, "Father-"
"Refer to me as Mr. Wild until I say otherwise." He spits at my feet with a scowl I'd never seen before until this very moment, "You bullied her daughter, lost the relationship to Jack's family, tainted our relations with Vale. In a few months you've ruined the work I am so diligently trying to build. Jenny brought to my attention quite a few things, you've lost your scholarship, your teachers dropped your scores, and you've become nothing."
"Wait no that isn't how this happened at all. Why is no one believing me?" I scream tugging at the roots of my hair.
My father picks up a cane he has tucked away on the side, "Do you want to apologize?"
"Yes! More than anything!" Please father believe me!
"Kneel."
"Father?" My voice comes out like a mouse. My eyes tracing over his body language. He looks ready to kill me.
"I fucking said kneel." My knees drop to the ground. I kneel before him crying elephant tears, "You've brought shame upon this family. As of today, you're nothing but a disgrace. And because of that, you've lost any and all support."
"Please!"
The cane swings cracking over my side. My body falls to the floor, wails of pain leaving my lips. He lifts it again landing along my back. Then again. And again. My entire body becomes nothing more than a punching bag as his punishment lays over me.
Blood seeps through my sweater, the copper choking my throat, "You'll provide for yourself, live alone, and take what I give you. Until I decide otherwise you are nothing but a fucking ungrateful bug. You'll wait patiently until I decide what to do with you. Whether that be death or not." The help rush in, their hands laying over my tattered skin. I can't move, I can't feel anything, "Find somewhere to drop her on the street. No medication. Make sure to remove any valuables including her clothes. I want her naked and terrified."
Whimpers leave me, my mind still begging for this to be a dream. His foot goes under my chin lifting my head to look at him from the ground, "And if I find out you've ran from me, Sultana. If you don't listen to the rules I'm about to make very fucking clear, I'll peel your skin from every inch of your body when I find you. And on my family name, I'll always find you."
