《Divine Creatures》Re write

When I left you last, I was working on the next major arc. I *had* quite a few chapters written, but the size of the arc was getting away from me, and then my inner critic came out and dumped all over the way the plot was developing. My own dissatisfaction with realizing how much of the story was resonating with the Ten Horizons when I started with the idea of something that was more homage than fanfic has also only been growing, and the very legitimate points made about how the MC is OP by super friends just gave fuel to my inner critic.

Worse, all of that negativity circling through my brain then spilled over to my original (unposted) story that got derailed by "Divine Creatures". The world my MC came from has been hung up as I wrestle with what kind of stories I want to tell.

I wanted to explore some ideas related to the social nature of humanity with "Divine Creatures", and those ideas are still ones I want to dive into. However, there are a lot of basic flaws that I need to address with the current incarnation of "Divine Creatures". Thus, I have decided to take the premises back to the drawing board.

Whatever the next incarnation of "Divine Creatures" looks like, it won't be anything that can be labeled fanfic. Right now that's about all I know.

I'll leave this incarnation up as it is until then, and just mark it as dropped.
