Chapter 382: 382
Chapter 382: Acknowledging Each Other
“Ahem ahem.”
Qing Mu coughed lightly and avoided the passionate gaze of the pure-hearted female cultivator not far away. Then, he took out a list and presented it to Chu Yun.
“Fellow Daoists, this is the list of medicinal pills and their prices in our Jade Tripod Alchemy Clan. Please take a look.”
Chu Yun took the list and began to examine it carefully. Chen Chen watched as Qing Mu excitedly rubbed his hands together.
When Qing Mu saw this, his heart began to beat faster. He did not expect himself to be so charming even at such an old age.
‘That female cultivator was really too much. Is there a need to be so exaggerated? She acted like she could not wait.’
‘This female cultivator from the upper realm is really too unscrupulous!’
After Chu Yun finished reading it, she smiled and said, “The Li Xian Sect wants to purchase quite a number of pills. How about a 30% discount on this price?”
“Impossible!”
Qing Mu straightforwardly expressed his stance, then, he slowly said, “Fellow Daoist, you might not know this, but our Jade Tripod Alchemy Clan actually doesn’t have to worry about the sales of medicinal pills. If the price is 10% off, many sects will come and fight over it. The 30% discount that you mentioned is really too absurd. With such a price, our Jade Tripod Alchemy Clan will suffer a loss.”
Chu Yun rolled her eyes when she heard this.
‘Loss? This person really has the guts to say it. It’s not like the Li Xian Sect didn’t have any alchemists, it’s just that the quantity is scarce and they are unable to mass produce medicinal pills.’
‘However, they still know the cost of refining a medicinal pill. Just the cost of the materials, including the abnormal wear and tear, is only 30% of the price written on the list.’
‘Even if the fees for the alchemists’ hard work are included, the Jade Tripod Alchemy Clan can still earn a lot of Spirit Stones with a forty percent discount.
With that thought in mind, she chuckled and said, “Fellow Daoist, you must be joking. I think a 30% discount is just right. After all, the Li Xian Sect is a regular customer of yours.”
“At most, a ten percent discount! And this is on account of you being regular customers.”

…
Just like that, the two parties bargained back and forth, not giving in to each other. After fighting for a good fifteen minutes, they finally closed the deal with a 20% discount.
At this moment, beads of sweat had already formed on Qing Mu’s forehead. He had to admit that this female cultivator from the upper realm was also very difficult to deal with. Perhaps only after his disciple ascended could he fight with this woman.
However, what surprised him was that the attendant next to the female cultivator was actually still looking at him at this moment, as if he was possessed.
This made him very uncomfortable. ‘Could it be that this female cultivator likes men like me who are old, strong, and mature to the point of almost decaying?’
…
Actually, Chen Chen was also very troubled right now. He was thinking about how to get rid of Chu Yun.
It was not easy for him to find an organization. As long as he acknowledged his grandmaster, he would no longer need to live under someone else’s roof. He could even bring his disciples and a few underlings over.
The mark on his hand would not be a problem either. With the strength of the Jade Tripod Alchemy Clan, it should not be difficult for them to protect him.
If he hadn’t taken a shower with Chu Yun, he would have revealed his identity. But now…
Thinking of this, Chen Chen’s head hurt. He really shouldn’t have taken a shower with Chu Yun and even saw her naked.
“Junior Sister, what’s wrong? Are you not feeling well?”
Chu Yun’s concerned voice came from the side. Chen Chen had an idea and said, “Senior Sister, actually, I have always been looking forward to the Dao of alchemy. I want to have a private chat with this Fellow Daoist. What do you think…”
A strange look flashed through Chu Yun’s eyes when she heard this. She had felt that this Junior Sister’s mood wasn’t right just now. She hadn’t thought that this was actually her intention.
However, was this Junior Sister really interested in the Dao of alchemy?
“Ahem, since this Fellow Daoist wants to ask me questions about the Dao of alchemy, then I naturally won’t be stingy with my little bit of knowledge. Fellow Daoist Chu, I’ll get someone else to bring you to the storeroom to look at the medicinal pills. How about it?”

Qing Mu said with a smile, his eyes filled with pride.
He didn’t expect that an old man like him would also be appreciated by others.
‘A private conversation, hehehe, looks like I got lucky in love!’
“Alright.”
Chu Yun thought for a moment and nodded in agreement. She didn’t want to meddle in Junior Sister’s matters, but before she left, she glanced at Chen Chen again, her eyes filled with concern.
After she left, Chen Chen let out a long sigh of relief.
At this time, Qing Mu had already sat down. His face was full of calmness, and he even made a pose. He had the charm of an old man chatting with a young man.
“Fellow Daoist, I have studied the Dao of alchemy for more than a thousand years. My understanding of the Dao of alchemy can be considered unique in the Jade Tripod Alchemy Clan. If you have any questions, feel free to ask. I will tell you everything I know.”
Chen Chen glanced at this flashy grandmaster. A trace of disdain flashed through his eyes. He teased, “Fellow Daoist, other than being interested in the Dao of alchemy, I am even more interested in you!”
Hearing this, Qing Mu’s old face instantly turned red, and his breathing became hurried.
Could it be… could it be!
Seeing this, Chen Chen couldn’t stand it anymore. He directly took off his mask and said excitedly, “Senior, look at who I am!”
Qing Mu was thinking about some random things in his mind when he suddenly saw Chen Chen stagger back in fright and sit on the ground.
“You… You! What kind of illusion is this!”
Chen Chen found it funny when he saw this scene and said indifferently, “Grandmaster, I am Chen Chen. I flew up from the lower realm. The appearance of the woman you saw just now is an illusion. You passed the position of the sect master of the Jade Tripod Alchemy Sect to me in the lower realm. Have you forgotten?”
Qing Mu was muddled up when he heard those words. He felt that his entire body was floating and he could not stand properly.
..
Fifteen minutes later.
Qing Mu finally accepted reality and he was completely aware of what had happened in the lower realm.
When he learned that this grand disciple of his had actually ascended with him less than a day after he ascended, he couldn’t help but sigh.
Life’s fortuitous encounters were truly miraculous.
Who would have thought that his grand disciple’s cultivation level had already caught up to his.
“Chen Chen, why are you following a disciple of the Li Xian Sect and even disguising yourself as a woman?”
Qing Mu asked again.
When Chen Chen heard this, he revealed a bitter smile and told him the whole story about how the Li Xian Sect had kidnapped him.
A trace of envy flashed across Qing Mu’s eyes. He had thought that he had a rare chance to get lucky in love.
He didn’t expect that the one who really got lucky in love was this kid.
How unfair was this world where appearance mattered greatly, to a person like him?
“Chen Chen, since you’ve come to the Jade Tripod Alchemy Clan, then stay. I bet Chu whatever-her-name-is won’t dare to say anything. You’re a disciple of the Jade Tripod Alchemy Clan to begin with.”
Qing Mu did not want to hear any more about his luck with women, so he waved his hand and made a decision.
However, Chen Chen smiled bitterly and told him about the time he took a bath with Chu Yun and even shared a bed with her.
Qing Mu trembled when he heard that. He did not feel good. After a long while, he roared, “Outrageous! How can you do this!”
The bitterness on Chen Chen’s face became more obvious when he heard that.
Qing Mu turned around and silently thought of a way. However, just as he turned around, his old face was slightly distorted due to envy, jealousy, and hatred.
This evil world!
If he did not know about the lives of others, it would have been fine. But now that he knew, it was simply infuriating!
Comparing with others would only make him angrier. That was the reason.
“Grandmaster, What’s Wrong?”
Chen Chen asked in surprise when he saw Qing Mu’s body trembling slightly.
Qing Mu turned around. His expression had already returned to normal, but there was a hint of resentment hidden deep in his eyes.
“This matter is a little difficult to handle…”
Chen Chen smiled and said, “Actually, I have already thought of a way.”
“What way?”
Chen Chen subconsciously wanted to say it, but after thinking about it, he still used his divine senses to transmit his voice. Not long after, Qing Mu revealed a strange expression.
It had to be said that this grand-disciple of his was not only talented but also had many bad ideas.

Author's Note Thing: Don't know if this is where to put this, but this story is something I'm writing and posting on RRL for the first time. Chapters are what I consider to be short, and I hope to finish the book quickly. PS: Is it better to have no cover, or a generic cover? Let me know if you read this.

YAOS 1 - Limitless Adventures - Yet Another OP Story Book 1
December 23rd 2018: Book 1 is now up at Smashwords and at Amazon. December 30th 2018: V1.1.2 of YAOS Book 1 is out, some content additions, fixed typos. Amazon's enhanced typesetting now displays tables properly. YAOS is shown through the eyes of some genius athlete getting OP inside a VR, ah wait, Full Immersion game, ?F.I.O?. Not a Hero, not a Nerd, just a driven individual paying for mistakes made, biding time until he can return to the Real World. He isn't defined like you'd normally do it, you can pick his looks and name all on your own, just like you do in video games. Believe it or not, keeping his looks undefined is harder than you think. His backstory isn't expounded in detail, but it drives his choices. Book 1 isn't about depressing sob stories but about fun and rushing forward, pursuing new horizons. Oh, and you'll end on a cliffhanger! Well, most serials do, so you will probably expect that without being told explicitly. But it isn't that bad, there's a lot of reveals and more to come once this book, that is the first in a planned three-part series, is finally ready for release on amazon et al. The published version will have: 1.) Godawful speaker tags, I hate them, they make you stop thinking and speed up editing so much. In hindsight they should have been in to begin with. But I stand by my goals proclaimed earlier. You guys should think while reading, that is the whole point of the exercise. Apply the knowledge and ideas, improve yourself, get creative! 2.) Pretty colored tables, the damned blue boxes, a lot of work, 69 in one book. Finally fixed amazon's centering issue. Can't say I liked the hours needed to debug that. 3.) The promised Mitara chapters. 4.) A cover! 5.) And lastly, updated polished versions of several chapters. MC shares more of his past, some terrible chapters (esp. 32) finally work. Some new scenes, minor rewrites in parts. Text flow and other issues. The current challenge is to maintain essential ambiguity while satisfying people wanting to know more without thinking three steps ahead. Balancing one with the other is tough. The smut which was in remains, but the story told is not to be superseded by it. A 15+ rating for the first book is also important, not to mention, YAOS wasn't meant to contain any smut to begin with. If the Author can turn to writing full time his output should increase, so please support YAOS #1 once it does finally release. ~Thank You~ No maps so far, that should be in, but is really hard to get done right. Again, tips are appreciated. Update September 2017: Stubbed chapters, sorry guys, currently don't have time to upload them elsewhere, polishing book 1 and 2, writing 3, takes precedence. Book 1 is in heavy editing, too much to keep synced and continuing editing. I'd need a site which offers JS-free rapid managing of chapters and comments. Coding one myself or setting a premade up is out of scope until I'm done with the books. RRL-old offered that, nuff said. This is only here because the author believes in fairies, nobody reads this, most likely. October to December 2017: Life threw some curveballs. February 2018: Book 2 draft 1 completed, at ~150K words. Book 2 is fairly epic in scope, requires 1 rewritten chapter, some editing. Tables and miscellanea are in, but needs at least a grammar pass. March 2018: Book 3 at 28k words, first arc, rest needs serious planning for spin-off and satisfying conclusion. July 2018: Yet another proofing/editing session of books 1-3, 101+ chapters, ~300k words. B3 at 48k, starts out great, but no ETA, no wordcount limit, in flux. But prioritizing my writing cannot be done, I hate the delays as much as you, but you will prefer the whole released in a timely fashion rather than wait. Knowing myself how excruciating waiting can be, at least you'll get significantly polished versions and an ETA on book 2 by release of book 1. December 23rd 2018: Book 1 is now up at Smashwords and in the process at Amazon et. al.. . To all who wait patiently, offered feedback, thanks again!
