Chapter 756
Chapter 756: Lin Jin Arrests
Of course He Qian would be furious.
This day was much too important to him and the entire Jade Dragon Kingdom, and no mishaps would be tolerated.
He had been tense the whole time but someone just had to come and give them trouble. How could he stay calm?
Someone was deliberately making things difficult for him.
“Who is it?” He Qian asked darkly.
The messenger eunuch shuddered in response before elaborating on the situation.
It was the prince of a premium country and his entourage.
He Qian was still frowning.
Right now, he didn’t care who it was. He wouldn’t allow anyone to do as they pleased at a time like this, not even if they were a premium country’s prince. Only, what confused him was that this premium country’s envoy was already here. So where did this prince come from?
Times like this showed the merit of teamwork. A minister who was familiar with this premium country came up to convey what he knew about them.
It seemed like the country’s internal power struggles had gotten too intense. That prince was one of the contenders of the throne so he must have come to seek cooperation.
This minister’s guess was spot on, revealing the prince’s motives for coming.
“Your Majesty, this prince has a subordinate named Wei Zhuang, and he’s one of the strongest men in the mainlands. He’s very well known and rumors say that his pet beast is the strongest among all Rank 5 beasts,” the minister added.
Many people began to echo in agreement. They too have heard of Wei Zhuang’s name.
Having the strongest Rank 5 beast was a serious claim. Everyone knew that Rank 5 beasts were mandatory for a country to be recognized as a premium nation. If this person’s Rank 5 beast was the strongest of them all, he could easily influence the world.
“Strongest Rank 5 beast? Is this true?” He Qian was stunned.

“It’s true, Your Majesty. It’s said that after Wei Zhuang gained his title, many experts went to challenge him and lost to his Rank 5 pet beast. He had at least thirty challengers!”
He Qian was shocked to hear the number.
He turned to Lin Jin. How they were to solve this would depend on their ace’s opinion. Truth be told, He Qian couldn’t tolerate anyone coming to their city and killing their people.
Although He Qian was quite infatuated with power and would do anything to promote Jade Dragon Kingdom’s status, he was still a good emperor who loved his people. If he let this incident die away, how was he to face the citizens of Jade Dragon City or the people of Jade Dragon Kingdom?
Lin Jin gave him a firm answer. “Those who kill the innocent must pay a life for a life. This is Jade Dragon’s rule.”
This simple sentence showed where he stood on the matter.
He Qian was confident now.
“Guards! Apprehend the murderers with Appraiser Lin and bring them to justice,” He Qian ordered.
“Gentlemen, it’s my first time hearing about the strongest Rank 5 beast. Wouldn’t you all like to see it with me?” Lin Jin suddenly asked.
There were many envoys, royalty, and also ministers of premium countries. Each boasting distinguished statuses of their own. Upon hearing Lin Jin’s offer, they became interested. Some even verbally voiced their intention to go along.
“Then let’s go together.”
Lin Jin intended to make a show of his abilities. He knew that his current reputation was only a legend that many had heard about, but had not witnessed.
As he would be leaving for the Nine-Heaven Realm, he didn’t know how long it would take so he had to guarantee Jade Dragon’s safety.
And how would he do that?
By deterring enemies from doing as they pleased.
Lin Jin planned to make an example today, to show some of his strength in front of an audience. Then, stories of him would be legends no more, but facts.

No one would have the audacity to touch Jade Dragon after that.
This was Lin Jin’s plan.
Simple and straightforward.
Lin Jin flung his sleeve and bundles of clouds appeared below these men’s feet. The next instant, the huge cloud lifted up more than a hundred people and flew them out of the palace.
As they flew in the sky, more than half of the passengers were frightened out of their wits. Regular ministers who never went on adventures trembled in fright.
But most of them were delighted and excited.
Flying on clouds was the skill of legendary immortals. They had only ever read about it in books. To think that they got to experience it today.
Everyone was stunned by Lin Jin’s capabilities. Some had previously suspected him, but now their doubts were completely cleared.
This was too incredible.
By traveling on clouds, they got to the scene almost instantly.
Lin Jin descended the cloud and looked at the ten-feet-tall hybrid beast.
He didn’t even glance at anyone else.
The only thing worthy of his attention now was this strange freak of a monster.
No one had ever seen more than a hundred people traveling on clouds. The entire city was stunned. Forget the gaping citizens and wide-eyed guests, even the prince and his group were dumbstruck.
“He… can actually fly on clouds?” the prince’s lips were trembling.
He had heard of such rumors before but thought they were just exaggerations. Now that he was seeing it with his own eyes, he finally knew that it was true.
Of the hundred people, there was one who stood at the forefront. Looks like he must be the legendary Lin Jin.
For some reason, the prince felt rather afraid and regretful.
They had clearly overdone it this time, but now wasn’t the time to confess that. On his team, Wei Zhuang still had a lot of fight in him and the hybrid beast was still intimidating.
Wei Zhuang thought the same too.
He was especially stunned to see Lin Jin’s arrival and felt that the man looked like a massive mountain, carrying with him an unwavering and oppressive aura.
Now, Wei Zhuang could only rely on his hybrid beast.
‘Lin Jin may be powerful but the hybrid beast isn’t weak. He might not actually press the issue and would care for the big picture and let us off,’ Wei Zhuang thought, trying to comfort himself.
Yet, Lin Jin simply said, “I, Lin Jin, am here on His Majesty’s orders to arrest the troublemakers and murders. Whoever did it, step forward.”
How domineering!
Even when faced with the hybrid beast, Lin Jin didn’t plan to concede.
Wei Zhuang’s brother was now terrified.
But he still assumed that his brother and the prince could protect him, so he kept trying to comfort himself and wait in fear.
No one spoke, so Lin Jin smiled. “If no one will step forward, we will apprehend everyone for interrogation later on.”
“Hold it!” The prince’s expression looked dark. He was a noble prince of a premium country. What would be left of his dignity if he were to be arrested?
Wei Zhuang was angered as well. He invoked another taboo spell, willing to pay another price so the hybrid beast could show its strength.
He wouldn’t let their group be caught.
Yet, Wei Zhuang never anticipated what happened next.
No matter how hard he tried, the hybrid beast gave no response.
It wasn’t because his spell didn’t work, but because the hybrid beast was ignoring him. The next instant, Wei Zhuang yelled and blood sputtered from his being. His veins were damaged and he fell to the ground, wounded..

The Fate of The Summoned (being ReWritten)
The Fate of The Summoned In the world of Aethion things are vastly different than on Earth. There is Magic and Monsters, as well as Demons and Dragons. Throughout the history of the world there have been many wars, both between all the various nations and kingdoms and between those nations and kingdoms and the Demonic forces lead by a Demon King or Lord. There are times that the Demons gain so much more power than the other nations, or that the others are embroiled in a war against each other and the lone nation is targeted by the demons. It was during these occasions that the various Gods and Goddesses started giving two things to the races. The First of these things were the Blessings, magical blessings given to the worth for chosen things. The Second of these things were the Summoning rituals, magic rituals that could summon beings from somewhere else, that would be Chosen, by the gods. These beings have almost always come from our world, Earth. It has been centuries since this practice began and the countries of the world have almost always flourished for a time after a Chosen or group of them were Summoned. All of the countries treat the Summoned well, almost like kings or princes in their own right. Well, not all countries, there are some that have treated them almost like slaves, though those countries don’t usually last long. There is one though, that has lasted, for a long time due to their connection to their Patron Deity, the Goddess of Light. They only accept certain types of Summoned and they dote on certain members of the country more than others. Several years ago they performed a summoning, as they were being plagued by overflow from the dungeons. Now they, like the other countries of Aethion, have performed the ritual to fight against the current Demon King, who is said to possess a Blessing. This is a story about Fate, and those that fight against it and those who accept it. In this story the main character(s) do not fight their fate, like those in my other story, rather they embrace it and let it shape them, though that does not mean they are total slaves to it. While there will be similarities to most other Hero sumoning novels, i hope the Mcs abilities and such will make it unique.
